This is a video of the first outdoor test run of my custom made metal G scale Snow Blower. See my other videos for the build. The blocks ontop of the locos are lead weights to help with traction. The blower blade is variable speed via remote control. Will need heavier pushers for smoother running around curves. - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Love the winter scene with the outdoor railroads!
An excellent video. Hello from the Tracy Mountain Railway in Colorado. 💙 T.E.N.
I was watching video of an actual rotary and wondered if a scale model would even work and what could be used for artificial snow to make it work. I was actually wondering what you used for a couple of minutes until I realized in amazement that it was real snow on your deck. Amazing.
Now you just need a track layout that will keep your driveway clear.
those old 110 volt pc fans
I was literally searching for this, to see if it existed, after watching another fellow's g-scale wing plow in action in his garden. This is wonderful work!
Now that’s something I need to have. Rotary snow plows are amazing
So cool. And the soundtrack of the real locos really takes it to the next level. I'm sure the engineer didn't appreciate it when he saw you break out that shovel so you could make him do it all over again.
I love it did a lot of work to my friend property in Chicago ! G scale size ! He was president of the Chicago train society his place was amazing ! Wish he would do videos you would love his set up
Ok i have to admit, i thought this was gonna be lame when i clicked on it and it is so BADASS! NICE work!!!
To answer a few questions, this was just a test I wanted to do quickly to see how well the blower could handle the snow. I simply set down the track on our deck before expected snow accumulation. Blower worked better then expected, issues were due to the tight curves which caused loss of traction on the drive wheels of the pushers. Lead weights were added to increase grip. Future runs will be on a layout with more prototypical curves and heavier pushers. Blower should run without too much pausing then. Thanks for watching.
That thing is a beast.
Absolutely wicked!

Damage Inc / Dam Good Job. I'M trying to get my Layouts started Outdoor in G1:20.3 and HO/ HO,N3 for the back of my work shop . for my G I have just under 4.76 acres and not only that it's flat as all daylights. I have to build my own terrain including mountain range using old tires as a base. where I live we get light to heavy snowfall. but otherwise Dam Good JOB !!!!!!!
Damage Inc Weren't you afraid that you'd burn out the motors? That's a lot of stress to put on a model train.
And I thought I had seen it all! Great.
That's just to cool for school lol.the snow blower wow!!!
That’s an awesome piece of kit , can’t believe how well it works
This is the coolest model I have seen in a LONG time ! I also just got done watching about 20 videos of real rotary plows at work , so seeing a model run like this is just jaw dropping :) shared it on FB even , Great job & thanks for the upload . Big fan in Michigan , and as for the folks questioning - the real ones bog down the same way .
Model railroading at its finest! 🚂

Mi mind ist blowen
When you don't even own model trains but still watching this video. CZcams gods be blessing you.
Bumble, the abominable snow monster strikes again and again...feel sorry for your next door neighbor.awesome train.
Honey, what do you want for Christmas?
Snow!
This is amazing. Would love to see more.
Nicely done that was some seriously deep scale snow. Though I doubt the snow team thanked the shovel god for making them do it all over again. Certainly the blower looks scarily powerful, as you said the curves were the bigger problem.
I can actually see it sucking the snow in GREAT JOB very fun video I’ve seen RC trucks with 3D printed parts for a snow blower but this is by far much cooler keep up the mad scientist inventions 👏🏽👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The ultimate model train flex.
My freand Richard frantz from greensburg pa would love this
Ready for Donner Pass. Thank you for your effort, I'm impressed!
"Honey, the patio's clear"!
If other real life rotary snow plows performed like this one, it would throw snow 1,000 yards away from itself. You need to get a hold of the railroads and tell them that they've been building them wrong the entire time haha. Excellent work.
Your snow plow is so cool
That is awesome. Love seeing this.
I've watched this video numerous times and I still like it. Happy railroading!!!
This does spark joy
If you go by scale that was one hell of a snow storm!
probably in the Rockies
John Write Where the water flows like whine

Try Donner Summit, Calif.
But with giant snowflakes the size of your first.
this is the most grandpa thing ive ever seen and i've watched bass masters. :3
That is really neat. That plow is super and works so well. Great video.Thanks.

The little snow blower that could.
Nice work man!
Amazing miniature railroad world
I bow down to you Sir. Beautiful work. You are the man! That thing is awesome.
ONE OF THE BEST RAILROAD MECHANICAL JOBS I DID WAS DOING EMERGENCY REPAIR WORK ON THE LONE SNOW BLOWER THEY HAD!!
I never would of believed it but it really works!! At first I thought it was fake snow or that it just kinda plowed thru it but it was like the real thing. Truly amazed!! Awesome Job..Love the sound of those engines running and especially that snow remover.

Looks great.
This is sweet and unique, who would have ever thought of this.
Works better than the real thing.
That was way to fricken cool !!! I might have to get a semi trailer load of snow and have it shipped South to do this.
So cool!
This makes me want a garden railroad. :)
Talk about looking scale, Beautiful man!
This is very cool!

This takes garden railroading to a higher level!
What an excellent video of what G-scale modeling is all about. Congrats on a job well done. Can't do this in HO !!!
Oh man, that is cool.
That snow plow is a beast! 😃
Whoa, that takes some planning and skills!
NICE!! That is very cool! I've never seen that on a train set for your home. I didn't even know they made stuff like that. Thanks for sharing. I'm impressed!
David Kelly he made it himself.
That's absolutely amazing I loved it
Alot of work there. Cheers!. What the kiddies forget is that it isn't scale snow,,,the crystals are waaay to big. Sounds like it could knarl thru hardwood when set on kill rpm's. Nice work.
Real impressive with lights and all.
Most impressive. Nice work
Admitted, that looked pretty impressive.

Dafaq dose that mean?!???
@@ktrainBFSIt means it’s very impressive
Cool stuff!
What else can I say... You guys are amazing.
Phenomenal performance 👍🏻 love the video
Shit back when I was little they didn't have these fancy set ups but I like what I had. I had one of the old styles that smoked. Don't see them anymore. Wish I would have kept it to give to my kids.
Thanks for posting. Very neat.
unbelievably awesome.
That's really cool
How cool is that! Love it!
That is awesome. Good job.
Very realistic. I love it!
The only issue I have with this is oddly enough not to do with the snow but the rate of the flash of the marker lights. Way to fast for prototypical operations. The little snow blower did great though! Thanks for sharing.
This is amazing!
I like the "scaked revolutions." Jet turbine like! Ha!
