Excellent video! I appreciate the tour and explanation of all of your components (blast cabinet, compressor, powder coat booth, oven). Very basic, simple, but effective setup. 👍
Thank you!
It looks really nice. Good idea with the plastic spray box. Then you can keep the powder clean so you can reuse the excess at the bottom. About the compressor - get a tank and connect in between so there is a buffer of air, maybe 50 or 100 liters. Then a drain at the bottom of it can blow off condensation water. If you have space, you can have a 300 L water hydro tank. Take it out in the middle and pressurize it so it doesn't burst in the basement or put it outside and hoses through the walls. Saw a Swede who built a cage out of rebar that just went into the stove. Then tubes on the sides that he could stick other tubes into and lift out the cage when it was warm. Then he had some he could hang the objects in and move them around tied up.
But does painting a turbo really work? If you drive it really hard, it becomes red-hot.
I have never had an issue with the powder coat flaking or becoming damaged on the compressor side of the turbo
I did my 1975 Kawasaki Z1903 frame & swingarm in a translucent lollipop red &tropic orange mix. Everyone's favorite is the translucent psycho lime green tho. "Follow your local EPA regulations kids"!!! Pop some holes in the back of the Tupperware and put you filter and fan behind it. put your ground on a bolt to whatever part you are doing to get full continuity
niceeee. My j hook is grounded btw
@@PoorManMods I know the ground was hooked up just whatever bolts for the part you just wrap a copper wire around it and it's a super solid grounding point
@@chrisdavis9144 ahhh ok! thanks for the tip!!
Glad to see you back man! I remember the Sentra days. Great video as always!
Haha thanks but I never left!! CZcams just hides my content from my subscribers, my guess is if you went to my channel theres alot of videos for you to catch up on lol. Sadly my spec v is no longer in existence.
@@PoorManMods I hate CZcams for that. I always used to watch all your vids. Same here my specv is long gone.
I had a atv frame done in that color love the blue
Excellent ideas on the set up. I may have to find a small oven to go with a kit like this. Bike parts tend to be smaller so for the jobs I do, this could be a vast improvement over spray paint.
Thanks for this great video. I have been enjoying your channel for a long time.
Thank you so much, i really appreciate your long time support, you are one of very few!
Hey, thanks for the great video. Wasn't sure if this was something I wanted to pursue with my truck parts but definitely will look at getting this eastwood gun when it is back in stock. Subscribed.
Thanks!
Hell yea bro that's nice I've been wanting to do a cheap powder coat setup in my garage.
doo itt!
The oven is your only bottleneck, the sand blaster cabinet is as well. Dont tell me you can put and blast a straight six valve cover orwheels in it. I get it, dont blast the hand that feeds you, in this case Eastwood. 🤨 I like your process, but try this with the competition's equipment and see how they compare for less money.
I know I’m a little late on this one, but fn dope lil setup man!
Def gotta start piecing one together myself.
Thanks! Get into it! Its really not that expensive or difficult :)
Very helpful video - clear explanations, lots of details. thanks for posting! :D
Thank youuu!
Hey, Love the video! Just looking into starting Powder Coating and came across your video. Really helped make up my mind. But can I ask where did you get the LED strip to light up your paintbooth?
Thanks! glad i could help you out! I Make led strips for a side business, so I used some of the material that I had laying around, but you can get it all off amazon
this should work for ya amzn.to/3k6Snrw
The poor adhesion is due to a poor ground and of course, the 2nd coat adhered better because you hot flocked it... But it turned out rad...🤙
thanks!
Will be doing this
yessss
What blue was used for this ??
Ummm… ground wire not contacting the work piece, maybe?
it completed the circuit, i always check to see if the gun will arc electricity
Good stuff bro
Damn that looks good. Props also to paintbooth 2.0! It's come a long way from the first one.
thank youuu! its a little smaller than 1.0 but its much cleaner and easier to use!
