I think the strike was because he always opens with "Hey kids", before saying his facts and making jokes. So they hit him likely because they think he has a demographic of little kids watching his stuff.
Also he said "Slur-hounds" because the first part of the dog breed's name (while mainly referencing raccoons they used to hunt) is also a pretty hard slur against black people (apart from the hard r).
They know, they’re just pointing out it’s ridiculous that some people would be offended if he used the real name.

Although I'm all for not using slurs. I'm unsure how to feel about that if it has nothing to do with race. Feels like we should avoid saying raccoon as well. But I don't know.
@@DisorientedWanderer Obviously not when it comes to the raccoon. But the shortened end, while still being referenced to the animals, was also used when white performers would do blackface to entertain other white people.
Again, there's no reason to stop using the actual animals name, but I'm just saying that some people might not be comfortable using that one part alone due to certain things.
Raccoon just means the animal.

crazy enough, Van Buren wasnt allowed to keep the tigers because of the Constitutional clause; but Teddy Roosevelt got his hyena (and presumably lion) from Emperor Menelik* the 2nd of Ethiopia. Crazy how once you get to be as badass as the T dogg himself; the rules just dont apply 💀
Teddy was badass enough to wrestle with the wilder pets to reign them in I reckon. I don't think Van Buren would be able to wrangle two fully grown tigers lol
Well the question is, was the clause still a thing when Teddy was president? Because Van Buren was president from 1837-1841 and Teddy was 1901-1909. They could have changed it in that time.

Mr Beat has a complete video on all presidential pets, I highly recommend it. I knew the names of all of Teddy Roosevelt's pets before this that way lol. And you'll find Calvin Coolidge had a list of pets that came close to rivaling Roosevelt's.
Anytime i see the words 'presidential pets', i cant help but think of the opening to the 90's cartoon, Road Rovers.
