Great playthrough! I tried the AI last night with your playthrough as a guide. I believe the AI chooses the shortest path to a goal market, so she wouldn't have avoided the patrol (and it would have caused her to stop, yeah).
Don't you feel it's odd (a-la unthematic) that an AI could spend x credits in space (a nav point) to gain fame? I get it's essentially just a timer, but thematically it should be on a planet, right? That's how I played it. I consider it a lucky break on my behalf

Yeah, I'm absolutely houseruling that the AI takes the smartest path. I don't see any reason they should get stuck in space if they have an alternative that gets them to a planet and closer to their goal. Makes things harder for sure, but better. Thanks for watching!

I believe at 4 minutes the AI should have bought a ship even though they have an upgraded ship already, this happens again around 18:00. That undercover agent reveal from the luxury deck was clutch! The action roll hitting double crit immediately after was pretty funny too. This game is definitely a table hog, thank you for doing the zoom ins and showing the cards in detail. The effort on your videos is always so good! Having a blast watching this playthrough, can't wait for the next part.

Thanks Alec. I must admit, I was a little confused by the "buy a ship" during the planning phase. The rules say the AI won't buy a ship unless it is better than the one they have. Why would the AI have bought a ship in that situation?

@@TotallyTabled You know it being in the planning step is odd, do they get the benefit of discarding in this step? I’m going based off pg.19 rules reference buying section which says the AI will discard top card of deck if they can’t buy it (to try and find one they can). However pg. 10 has discarding a card in the action step. I’ve actually tried searching for what “if unable” actually means but have had no luck. Now I’m doubting myself.

@@bearabl Yeah, I looked around but couldn't find anything. It didn't seem right to cycle the ship deck and then cycle the gear deck. In the end I do what I always do and just make the move that feels best. Doubt it made much difference in the end. Thanks Alec!
