This is a really neat technique. Thank you for sharing. I used it to paint butterflies -- with the colors pink, yellow, orange, and green. I have paints in a bottle, not a tube so it was a little more challenging, but I was able to make it work. :-)

Sherpa, do you have any ideas about cleaning soot off of paintings? The paintings aren't burned or water damaged, but when I try to wipe them clean, the black soot just smears more and more. I've painted hundreds of your paintings Cinnamon... and I love my paintings, they are my life story. I'm not sure what to do with all these canvases. They weren't burned, weren't water damaged, just dirty from smoke and soot. I am capable of letting them go if I have to, but if there is any way to save them, my God I would like to try. They look so beautiful, just hidden in a layer of soot... do I need to let them go? I'm lost Cinnamon. I know you're so busy and have so many many students... I'm sad.
