@@theanonymousduck9479 that's... The whole point of sound design....... You record and curate different sounds, and mix process them and put them in the video. It's an art form in itself, and a very difficult one to do right
Sound design is one of those things that if you do right nobody will notice, but if you do wrong it'll ruin the experience. For me this one was a little too much.
@@matheusmeneguccidepaiva8073 it depends on context, in my opinion. If you're doing sound design for a wider shot in real time, then yes you want it to sound as natural as possible so that everything flows seamlessly, with a proper immersive experience. However, with close up macros shots like this, in slow motion, I think it allows for more creative liberties to depict the sound in different ways. I personally feel that the sound design here draws attention to the detail of the different textures and materials in each shot, which is the purpose of these macros.

Some people light their cigarettes and cigars with matches to get a "better" taste. Lighting stoves or other devices hard to light without getting your hand burnt or getting it stuck is also fun. And matches are much cheaper than lighters so you don't mind losing it to lighters thieves or you dont ask everyone for a lighter if you are homeless. BBQ or setting anything on fire that can quickly generate big flame is also a good cause to buy them. And matches are cool, there are some manual tricks you can learn with them or bar tricks to get money from wasted people.
Agreed. I understand why others may not like the sound foley, but to me, it makes the visuals seem more satisfying. Topping it all off, the choices they used for sound effects were very fitting, and they were edited in so well.
