At first I thought it might be my upcoming battle !
Kudos Craig !
haha not yet! Thanks DeepBlue!
Exuinox is a great album from Jarre, my favourite parts are 6 and 7. I got into his music after listening to a lot of Tangerine dream in the 70’s.
We need to dive deeper into his stuff! Thanks!
I never heard Niu, but like the song
I've known of Jean Michel since the 80s, and enjoy his music occasionally.
Thanks Kevin!
Wow! I haven't even watched this clip yet but I've been a huge fan of electronic music for decades, never seen anyone do a reaction on it before so I can't wait to hear what you have to say about JMJ.
Thanks for watching dfo123!
Always enjoy these song battles ! The first instrumental certainly gives you the feeling of travelling at speed yet also had a Calming influence too .I have heard of Jean Michel Jarre before and have seen him on TV performing and know he has a huge following. The second instrumental was more of an other worldly /spacey feel to it which I enjoyed. But it was close for me but just because I am more familiar with the artist I shall opt for Equinoxe 5 . Thankyou for another one 😊👌
Thanks ca! You are better than us as we had never heard of either of them going in!
Gave this a listen, not really in my neighborhood of music, but I will say, I think that Jean Michel Jarre guy had an influence on Men Without Hats and Human League. Good stuff as always guys.✌️
Great take on his influence, used to love me som Human League when I was in the right mood back in the day.
I'll try again with the name, think it's pronounced "N _ oi!" Loved this duo's sound back in the early seventies, big part of the krautrock scene along with Faust, Can, and of course Tangerine Dream and Kraaftwerk.
Thanks Jeff!
I stay with Jarre
Thanks for watching Nidels!
I prefer Équinoxe parts 2, 3, 4, 7 and 8 to Équinoxe part 5. I'm also a Jarre fan, and I think Oxygène, Équinoxe, The Magnetic Fields, Zoolook, Rendez-Vous, Revolutions, Waiting for Cousteau, Chronologie, Oxygene 7-13 and Métamorphoses are good albums, the first four of those are great. Also the live album The Concerts in China and video Paris la Defense are worth checking out. So where to go next with Jarre? A short list of great songs:
Oxygène 4 is classic
Équinoxe 4 and Équinoxe 7
Zoolookologie
Rendez-Vous part 4
The Magnetic Fields 1 is a multipart progressive journey
Industrial Revolution, also multipart
Chronologie part 1
Oxygène 7
C'est la Vie (featuring Natacha Atlas!)
Thanks for the insight and for taking the time to share the suggestions, much appreciated!
Have a listen to Vangelis ... “China,” “Antarctica,” “El Greco,” “Blade Runner,” “Voices,” “Oceanic” ... so many to pick. Or get a starting sample with “Themes” (a compilation).
Really appreciate the suggestions and thanks for watching mulgamutt!
I have to go with Jean Michel Jarre, even though I liked both. Still I prefer his classic Oxygène.
Crazy I had never heard of him with his level of fame. Thanks Asmund!
always🤔 sounded like he was a protege of Edgar Frosse and tangerine dream.
Oxygène is a 1976 synth classic
haha great comment!
I wouldn't say a protege, TD in the 70s was more ambient, all sequences and textures, while JMJ was more melodic and classically influenced.
@@dfo132 okay.
Nice video!
Neu! Is amazing!
React to after eight or hero or lilac angel!
Thanks for watching Diego Velasco!
Not heard of Neu, but I preferred Jean Michelle Jarre. Both artists have to be respected for having to use all analogue synths, no computers back then. Know you could recreate these with single workstation, computer and plug ins.
Great points! Thanks Eddie!
Jarre all day long,he performed this in nigh on 1 million people in Houston for a start
Thanks for Watching!
Equinox 2 a spook part like a ghost dark
A goosebumps
Thanks for Watching!
Jarre's is better
Thanks!
