No, he made a quick quip and that was it. Or better yet, hr got shit done without wasting time. He wasn't bored and sarcastic, he wasn't making shitty pretentious jokes that took forever. He went head on for his enemy, pumped and thrilled.

I kinda liked that in all honesty he had some strange sense of pride. He felt like he was invincible to the point where he’s let quite a lot of people live. He also stayed loyal to Eggman don’t get me wrong he’s nothing new but compared to the other sonic villains I have to say a good change of pace.

The first Infinite fight is the best fight they should have made a hard version of this fight in the final Infinite battle instead of rehashing the Metal Sonic fight.
That crap was annoying. I’m almost glad that my disk of the game got scratched so bad that I don’t have to listen to that.

I guess you could technically scale this to show how much stronger Sonic’s gotten since 06(assuming Silver stayed the same level). Since Infinite knocked Silver out in 1 hit and Sonic was able to tank a hit from him mostly fine at the end of the cutscene. And back in 06 they were relatively equal with Silver getting the upper hand. At this point in the series Sonic is probably much stronger and faster than Shadow and Silver. It’s even more crazy that when Sonic says he gets stronger every second, the game kind of backs this up. With Sonic’s first encounter with Infinite, he was easily blitzed and overpowered, but wins the second fight until illusion hax are used.

That was already proven with Generations considering Sonic had defeated Silver there and that's post '06.
Also with Sonic's first encounter, to be fair, he was also simultaneously fighting PR copies of Shadow, Chaos, Metal Sonic, and Zavok with fighting Infinite. That probably played a means to Sonic's loss. Here, not only does he not have to fight the PR copies, he has more of a grasp on Infinite's abilities.
Also I will say the whole "I grow more powerful every second" probably shouldn't be taken super literally. It's more of a "I learn and grow/adapt from the experience" way.
@IamCanadian3333 No, Sonic's power does grow over time. (whether it's every second or not is debatable) Infinite himself in this very battle says Sonic's power exceeds previous data. (I.e, their first encounter)
Yep. At least there's SOME consistency in this plot. Although Sonic's power grows a little _too_ fast for me in Forces.

Tails is cowering in fear, Silver takes 2 hits before not fighting anymore, Cream and Big don't even have some sort of character development to go fight, Shadow doesn't even take his rings anymore, Knuckles is a lackluster leader, etc...

Gotta say, for someone with free access to matter manipulation, he was pretty anti climactic for this battle (especially since he had alot of hype behind his abilities)
his phantom world (when you get hit by his red things) is filled with obstacles.
Honestly, this fight seems pretty rad. I really like the concept of a boss fight that is triggered to be more difficult - the illusion shit -by the player screwing up. You know, besides the obvious 'you screwed up, take damage.'

This fight would be more awesome if the springs sonic uses to homing attack infinite were floating because silver was holding them to help sonic WITH infinite. It would be an amazing touch, side characters have no time to shine.

I kinda wish there was a cutscene where Sonic defeats Infinite, takes off the mask of whoever was behind it and tails takes the ruby and hides it in his workshop, but then when sonic asks where the ruby was and he says it's in the workshop while Tails hid the mask as well. But then Tails kinda did the sorta bad thing, he wondered if the ruby really could give power. So he tried it on but then he had the infinite mind and put on the mask as well. Now the Resistance And the Jackal also known as "Zero" who was Infinite, has to team up ith the resistance to Stop The Reborn again Infinite But this time, it's his friend.

Awesome video! I love this Character Infinite/Zero the Jackal and I want him to come back just like Mephiles. And I want them playable.
This is only one of like 3 badass moments in the game, and even then I don't feel that much excitement.

Silver did better than Sonic did in his first round so that's something.
Sonic had time to get adjusted to Infinite's Power to make his 2nd round way better than Silver's 1st attempt with Infinite.
Sonic being cocky is actually in-character since the time from his 1st to this 2nd battle has given him enough time to push Infinite's focus. He is able to react and do damage to Infinite unlike the beginning intro of Sonic Forces where the Phantom Ruby is just too much power.
