I bought a pair of 55mm 23k gold Randolph Aviators with American Grey lenses in my prescription from Flight Sunglasses in the USA (I live in the UK). They are absolutely superb, the best pair of sunnies I've ever owned. When I wear them so many people stare at my face then look away quick I'm starting to get self conscious lol. For that reason alone I'm going to say I prefer gold. Also, hope you don't mind, I'm going to give a big shout out to Flight Sunglasses if you need lenses in prescription. Their service and communication is absolutely first class, and unlike some other opticians your lenses are Randolph approved, therefore you get the Randolph logo laser engraved on the left lense. The silver mirrors are badass! The mirror is thin enough that they look black in some reflected light. The three frame luxury travel case is nice, but who travels with three pairs of Randolphs? Epic!

52mm aviators are the right size for medium sized heads. Between a slightly smaller-looking pair of Sunglasses vs a slightly oversized one, I'd always prefer the former.

52 mm too small in my opinion. Especially for medium sized faces. 55 mm the way to go. I have a narrow face and sometimes the 55 even looks a little small.

For me it is the silver mirror Randy's! I love mine.
So the silver ones are plastic lenses? That's a hard sell for me... The lenses will get super scratched like crazy, similar to a 10 dollar Walmart pair, right?
I bought a pair of the Concorde silver mirror and you are exactly right. They were very light and cheap feeling compared to the glass lens Concordes I have. I returned them. First pair of Randolph’s I have ever returned and I have several.

I've really enjoyed your videos. Will be purchasing 1 or 2 Randolph thanks in part to them. In future videos, would it be possible to include looking through the lens with the camera while you describe how you perceived the lens changes your view? I'm interested in the gold mirror lens, but buying a $350 pair is a gamble if I'm uncertain how everything appears looking through them.
I actually have done that before but it’s really hard to because of the way the camera handles the white balance through them. But I can definitely try and figured it out again
