    This video is the work of a team. Which also means each of the team members know what they are doing. You can learn by yourself, but to do it right (and become a professional) you either need talent or an insane amount of work. You can't do such an excellent work without at the very least 3 or 4 years of training in both 2D and 3D arts. :)

  • @3Descape

    I'm realy bad in texturing, but I think the little details are realy important...
    Look at real things and "copy" from them....scratches at the corners, dirth in the little gaps and so on..
    That makes realy the difference..

  • @CondorDesigns
    @CondorDesigns Před 10 lety

    yea a few .. you can find some really great textures for download at cgtextures . com .. you have to login its free but you can just download 15mb every day. for better texturing results use something like "crazy bump" it will produce a normal map bump, occlusion and specular for you so your texture will look more realistic and not that flat. sry for bad englisch im from germany text me if you have any questions

  • @PHILXFROMBHK
    @PHILXFROMBHK Před 10 lety +1

    The first two years you should watch every tutorial on videocopilot, and some tutorials from greyscale gorilla. Than you should know the basics.... but you will never get a result like this if you work alone. you will need a big team about 10-20 Experts, that work for about 6 months to get something like this.

  • @cra0kalo
    @cra0kalo Před 10 lety

    Would be awesome if we could get these car models :P

  • @SagaraUrz
    @SagaraUrz Před 7 lety +4

    It's really sad how much work is put into this game, and then the game designers fuck it up.

  • @ihaveamac27
    @ihaveamac27 Před 10 lety

    First, VideoCopilot mainly teaches you AfterEffects and for that it's great, as it gives you an easy step-in to compositing. And Nick Campell from GSG is not really a good teacher. He shows you how he makes some simple stuff, but he doesen't teach you the essentials. If you're serious in getting into CGI then you should maybe learn Nuke and Maya, as they are the tools mostly used in production by professionals. But that is a really really long way.

  • @lionxuser
    @lionxuser Před 10 lety

    where can I learn something like this?

  • @Laimotion
    @Laimotion Před 10 lety

    this is fucking Awesome !

  • @3Descape
    @3Descape Před 10 lety

    maybe.....
    But it's not bad to have them...they make it look a lot more realistic...expasy the bump mapp or the normal mapp
    But I have to say it again:
    I have never done some realistic texturing, so I say things that I have seen in tutorials and all that stuff..

  • @ImSoSorryPleaseForgiveMeMP4

    What.......The.....FUUUUCCKKK??? That is just complete insane!!! I FUCKING LOVE THIS!!!!!!!! I've seen other animation intros just like this one, but how come the in-game graphics (The main gameplay.) can't have these insane graphics but only the intro????

    • @SazLowify
      @SazLowify Před 9 lety +3

      Because CGI takes *hours* render
      In-game graphics usually have to be rendered *60 time a second*, or more!

    • @AnonymousMachine
      @AnonymousMachine Před 9 lety

      SazLowify
      That is not a reason.

    • @SazLowify
      @SazLowify Před 9 lety +3

      How is that not a reason?

    • @ImSoSorryPleaseForgiveMeMP4
      @ImSoSorryPleaseForgiveMeMP4 Před 9 lety

      SazLowify
      And the intro was made by a totally different company than Ubisoft. So Ubisoft would obviously HAVE to have that software that the other company is using for the intro if they were actually going to use it for the gameplay graphics.

  • @meo109
    @meo109 Před 10 lety

    they have a lot of free time to model every piece of geaometry, i don't think they used a displacement map or even a normal map, look at the tire in wireframe, it has a minimum of 200 000 polygone, it's crasy. not a very efficient way to do it but very details oriented. maybe I'm wrong but this took a long time to do.

  • @StepanKoppel
