Lego Battle of Otumba
Vložit
- čas přidán 30. 11. 2018
- On July 7, 1520, 500 Spanish conquistadors and a few hundred native allies tired from fighting, met a large force of about 10 to 20 thousand Aztec warriors on the plains of Otumba.
Although exhausted, wounded and outnumbered, the
Spanish were able to drive off the Aztecs by killing their
commander and taking his standard. After the battle,
the Spaniards were able to reach the friendly province
of Tlaxcala to rest and regroup.

Lego Man Productions have a nice vacation! You deserve it!

1:35 I'm just amazed to see armour finally work. In every movie, that arrow would have killed him or severely wounded.
@Colette Marie Del Carmen Maita If it didn't work, people wouldn't have used it.
I praised Clagan Bowl in Got Season 8 for actually recognizing that armor has a purpose beyond looking impressive and don't get me started on when Vommitwood does "testing" of armor, especially mail.
ISNT IT HOW MINECRAFT HELMETS SUPPOSED TO WORK
The cause why Aztec casualties were frickin high. They were fighting Spanish hulks.
me too
nice ! especially that arrow bounce off that dude's helmet!
thanks
You two are legends
Yeah that was cool
Dude, you totally missed the chance to name your channel “Bricktator”
Brick Dictator ok
I really appreciate you making such a badass battle sequence out of such an important moment in Mexican history. Only issue besides the Tlaxcalans is that the Aztecs (aside from their Tlatoani) don't look very Aztec, I was able to find some pretty decent minifigs that look Aztec, but it might've just been cost if I were to guess. Great video man, your battles are really cool to watch
Even the Tlatoani isn't really historically accurate, they look nothing like the Mexica
Aztecs: Seven civilizations (Tepanecas, Xochimilcas, Chalcas, Acolhuas, Tlahuicas, Tlaxcaltecas and Mexicas) that left Aztlán, temporarily took refuge in Chicomóztoc and continued migrating south; During the march each tribe was founding their kingdom according to the indications of their Gods.
The dislikes are from people who wanted the Aztecs to win. But u can't change history.
Not me... i am dislike because where is tlaxcalan warriors
remember spanish get good win is because more than 100.000 / 200.000 native support by tlaxcalan confederacy ( aztec main enemy )
@@onlyyoucanstopevil9024 agreed but there were only a few hundred and not much was known about them, besides it would have made it harder to tell which was which.
Jako jo no vždyť ke Kortézovi se připojili Aztékům nepřátelské kmeny
@@onlyyoucanstopevil9024
That was when Cortez returned to the Aztec capital. When he first went, only a few thousand tlaxcalans came with him. And they were all killed during the escape. This battle was just after the escape and the conquistadores were on their way to tlaxcala.
@@onlyyoucanstopevil9024 not in the battle of Otumba the tlaxcalan force is only present in the siege of technoticlan

Sin duda uno de los episodios de la conquista de mexico

Especialmente uno de los mas épicos.
Wow! Such an awesome job on this video. Fun to watch!
And I'm currently reading about Cortes' conquest of Mexico, too.
thanks
This is really freaking incredible. It’s so smooth, but it has that “made at home” feel.
You have definitely earned my subscription.
I can't even begin to imagine how long this must take you
Keletas savaičiu
Couple of days full time. If this is his hobby, than this may take a weeks even months. Only a man with great patience can make these wonderful videos.
Just some clarifications
1) Aztecs don't used horns, bones or pokemon helmets, nor clubs neither.
2) Spaniards was at the defense the whole battle, resisting the aztec attacks.
3) The spaniards have their Tlaxcala allies with them in the battle.
4) The horse movement at the end of the battle was an audacy to killing the aztec commander and take their flag, that was as the battle ends. Of course, the information to do that movement was provided from the Tlaxcala allies.
Your videos has going better with the time, more complex with better animation and more figures in it. Some times there is a lack of historical information, however, that has been improved too in the last ones. I hope you keep into that path.
Well there were also thousands and not hundreds, do you want him to include the exact number of soldiers too?
Wow!!! This is incredible! wonderful animation. I am glad you made this. Thank you so much for listening to my Aztecs vs Conquistadors suggestion comment in your previous videos!

Excellent video as always, I love that you represent historical events with stop motion. Take your time to make them.
Amazing video once again! Action was incredible, and the angles and panoramic shots were amazing!
The little details really add up and you sir have have truly impressed me
Big respect for the video! And for your choice of the Battle of Otumba, military achievement equal to other events of the time such as siege of Tenotchitlan or Inca Athaualpa capture in Cajamarca.
These videos are just FANDAMNTASTIC. I love them. Thank you forever
God Damn, that was epic! Well done once again, dude!
Hilarious when two Aztecs were hitting the conquistador with clubs after he was on the ground
The main weapon of the Aztecs was the "Macahuitl". Basically a stick with several obsidian blades. The Aztecs thought that horses and riders were one, they felt that they fought with a mixture of men and monsters. When the Spanish arrived with the Tlaxcalans, they were very well received because they thought that Cortés was Quetzalcoátl, which means "Feathered Serpent." The Warriors of that area had a warrior code for their "flowery wars". It consisted of going to fight and capturing all possible warriors to offer them as a sacrifice. The interesting thing is that the warriors protected the tail of their hair, because if the enemy touched your horse tail, they would automatically surrender and allow themselves to be captured. This fact was taken advantage of by the Spanish in the following battles with the Aztecs. While the Tlaxcalans were very happy that their enemies (Los Aztecas) were defeated
I don't think they're effective against metal armor.
Plot twist: The Aztecs where horny police and the conquistador was going to Horny jail
@@leonjimenez6769 You know that is a myth right?
@@leonjimenez6769 please stop spreading the "they thought he was Quetzalcoatl" bs, it's a myth and one that plays into racist propaganda of the Spaniards
I have run out of your videos to watch, and I watch the same over and over but never, NEVER get bored
Very Smooth Animation And Epic Battle!
Great job, Jordan! This is some pretty good timing since I’m about to make a new video on the defeat of the Spanish Armada. Hopefully you got a good deal on those conquistador helmets!
That was awesome!!! I loved the minifigs in this one, well done!
thanks
Once again, your work is incredible... So smooth and historically accurate... Very well done
thanks
Eh, the Mexica look nothing like what we know from history so it's not really historically accurate
This is how I learn history
Well done you are doing brilliantly don't stop, when you do it becomes hard very easily after a year or so
1:57 I like how the guy guarding the commander's just there like "bruh"

this was very good work
This is awesome.
While it's a good video you could have added some Aztec looking warriors to the Spanish side since Spain was aided by tlaxcala infantry
Agree
no actually that was against the incas they didnt have support
@@nutso310 Against the Incas they also had help from natives such as Cañaris, Chanca, Chimus, Collas and etc.
Amazing and maybe you could do a battle of thermopylae.

Very nice job👌
The set pieces and amount of mini figures to animate, especially at 2:13, is insane!
Very nice battle I wish I could make them that good.
Crosley loved this video. He loves knights and horses.
