- Nine-year-old Kelvin Ellis Jr. of Louisiana had just received a dollar for good grades, the only dollar to his name. When he chose to give it away to a man he thought was homeless, he received a surprising reward. Steve Hartman has the story in "On the Road."

That's the awesome part. He comes off as someone humble and doesn't expect way too much out of life. Seems content with less. So, he will absolutely go as far as he wants, because it will probably be within realistic expectations.

You are so right. In fact it’s often times disregarded and taken advantage of.
Your reward comes from God. Give from the heart and you will never care if you get rewarded by men.
Shouldn't be. One should simply do from the kindness of their hearts.
If you give to someone who can't pay you back, it will be reported to God. He Himself will reward you, although it may not be what you're thinking is the reward. So, don't give to get, but to be a blessing and He will take care of you, better than anyone can!

A young man with one dollar being kind and generous! People with millions of dollars seeking to squeeze dollars from folks just like that young man, never considering that act. Who is a better, happier, more complete human? I’m grateful we share the world with all kinds of people but happier knowing these loving souls exist.

So I'm with Matt, I've lost my faith in humanity, and maybe myself. This boy from Louisiana and his act of kindness brought me to tears. But I know that this 9 year old didn't get this way of thinking by himself-------he's been taught this. I'm guessing his parents are very influential and are role models for him, showing how to care for others. God does say that if you bless others, He will bless you. What amazed me was that in the end, all that was to come from this was JOY. This should be broadcasted all over the country---------FOR HOPE IS NOT LOST and GOD IS SHOWING UP WHEN YOU LEAST EXPECT IT.❤️❤️
