- 🎦 About This Video:
Cancer (especially Stage 4 cancer) is like running a marathon. The only difference is you have no idea where the finish line is and quitting means dying. So, basically, it's NOTHING like running a marathon 🤣.
▶️ About This Channel:
I've always been a storyteller. I've written hundreds of short stories and multiple books, but I always sensed I was meant to share a different story.
MY story.
I wasn't sure what that was until I was diagnosed with STAGE 4 Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma (a SUPER rare type of cancer for which there is NO CURE).
I decided to embrace my motto of Living Out Loud and started sharing my journey in vlog format.
This is my story. Real. Raw. Unfiltered.

Thanks 🙏. That's very kind of you to say.
I hope your wife can visit soon as that would lift your spirits. Cancer is a tough journey to do alone. You’re a good story teller, Gui … i pray you win this race. ❤️🇨🇦🙏
More love from Canada 🇨🇦 ❤️
Thanks 🙏. I'm definitely looking forward to the day she can finally join me.
@@mandyauger1035 Thanks for the Canadian love. Much appreciated 🙏.
It is so not fair she can’t get an emergency visa!!!
@@maryann823 That's immigration. Nothing we can do about it.
Praying you get some decent sleep. 💤 ❤️🙏🏻🇺🇸
Thanks 🙏. Much appreciated.
Expect the Unexpected. That is Life , but more so when one is facing Cancer. Been through that with my dad. Never know what each day might bring . But staying positive and making the best of each day is the way to go.
Yeah. I guess cancer is a lot like life. A lot of unexpected.
outstanding analogy of the journey
Word,for real it was
Google ‘mountain lion in your fridge’ for the best analogy about dealing with cancer I’ve ever read.
Thanks 🙏. I'm glad I connected with you.
We are in the same boat. You are not alonee. Prayers for you and need to rest as much as you can please. We must cross the line! 😊
May God bless you and grant you victory
@@lindc1070 Thank you my dear 🙂💐
All the best with your treatment
@@nesadcruz7840 I'm doing my best 🥺
Thanks 🙏. Good luck with everything. We're all rooting for you!
You have my fullest respect for staying positive. Isn't that hard at times?
It can definitely be VERY difficult at times. But it's all part of the process.
The marathon is a good analogy for life! I read that the length of the marathon is calculated to go beyond comfort.
I had friend who entered into her first half triathlon. The last section was running. Just when she thought she was going to have to stop, her husband shows up and starts running with her he tells her to follow his pace and said encouraging words and she picked herself right up and finishes that race.
Support! A little bit goes a long way!
Wow. That's an awesome story! Thanks for sharing it 🙏.
Good analogy. Perseverance is needed as this is a long distance race. Wish you all the best in your journey.
Thanks 🙏. Much appreciated.
I lost my brother to liver cancer he was 38. Hurts my heart to see you going through this. Hang in there. Sending you love and light. 💙💙💙
I'm sorry to hear about your brother. I hope you got to spend quality time with him and hold find memories.
@@LivingOutLoud-LWS4C Yes I did thanks and I do treasure the memories. Hope you can get a good nights sleep. 💙💙💙💙
@@marciajones2993 Glad to hear that. And thanks 🙏.
You are one of a kind (in a good way)!!
I hope you are able to eliminate those nasty
marathon glitches!!
Marathon glitches. LOVE IT!
I will light a candle for you when I go to church on Sunday hope you start feeling a bit better.🙏❤️
Thanks 🙏. That's very kind of you.
I pray that God lifts your weariness and lift your spirit and give you strength to endure on this journey 🙏
Thanks 🙏. Much appreciated.
With the right plan of action this can be beat.....
Absolutely!
You are so right with this, I know 😢 xx
You are a really great person, I really feel how you are feeling, zero sleep is crap, if it is at all possible please get help for that ❤️
It's not "zero sleep". More like a lack of "complete rest". It could definitely be worse. And it's only temporary. Thanks for being so kind 🙏.
You’re a great storyteller Guillaume. Thank you for sharing this info. I can relate to much of it ❤
Thanks 🙏. Glad you enjoyed it.
Your analogies are amazing. I can see how your a writer. What is the name of the series you wrote? I cant remember what video that was on. You seem better mentally today. Its minute to minute, I understand. Conditioning and pacing is hard, especially when you're so used to be go, go , go. Your plan is still in place and you have a great team behind you. Not only that, but you have this community supporting and cheering you on through this marathon. We are here, you're cared for and we are cheering for you wth massive voices and signs cheering you on. 💙💙💙💙💙. Any news about your wife? I pray she could be here. Can she at least visit for a time until its permanent?
I love the mental picture your painted. And thanks for the support. It's much appreciated 🙏.
Regarding the books, you can check out my website for more info: gsauve.ca/
And about my wife, unfortunately, it's not possible for her to visit me. We already applied for a visitor visa and it was denied. It's now an all or nothing kind of situation.
Prayers for you.
Thanks 🙏. Much appreciated.
Prayers ❤
Thanks 🙏. Much appreciated.
This is actually a good analogy of Life except when a crisis hits, be it Cancer or some other critical illness, then it is more intense. It is like 10 years worth of challenges get squeezed into 1. We will all face crisis in Life though. Be it illness ( of loved ones or our own), Financial like job loss or relationship problems like divorce etc. Sometimes 1 like illness can lead to problems in the other 2 areas like job loss or relationships. Someone on another channel talked about losing friends Since her husband got diagnosed. Like some “ friends” keeping a distance almost as If it is contagious or they dont want to hear about bad stuff. I know you have great support from your best friend. But has it affected your social life with other friends? Do you in anyway feel isolated?
No, I don't feel isolated at all. I'm definitely looking forward to being reunited with my wife, but I am surrounded by friends and family who are always there for me when I need them. I haven't noticed any relationships being affected by this aside from the one with my mother, but that was a long time coming.
@@LivingOutLoud-LWS4C good to know

That was quite a motivational speech. You are well on your way to achieving your goal.
I would like to know how having Cancer has changed your perception of Cancer. How is it different from what you might have expected. I am raising this question because a friend of mine who is a doctor said he never understood what it was like till he himself got cancer . He had also been Caregiver to his dad 5 years earlier. He said having experienced Cancer as a Doctor, Caregiver and then Patient he got to experience different facets of it.
Honestly, I didn't really have an opinion about cancer before I was diagnosed. It seemed to be a recurring theme in my life, but never gave it much thought until I was diagnosed. Even now, I see it more as a challenge, a tool to help me evolve and become the version of myself I've always been meant to become. Hope that answers your question.
Thank you for sharing your story! crazy to see so many of us younger people getting cancer, stage 4 here too. like you I believe that I manifested the cancer and it continues to teach me things Id never imagine. We have to dig deep and listen. stay strong I just subscribe to follow your progress.
Good luck in your journey
@@Sunshine-zi4nq Thank you! I started my own channel too I think it will be very helpful for myself and maybe others like us

BTW, is that a Saint you have around your neck. Its beautiful
Yes. It's "Nuestra señora de Guadalupe". It was as a present from my wife.
I prayed for you.

Please, please stay optimistic always. I understand the shortness of breath. It's terrible 😢. I send you a warm hug and stay positive 🌞
Thanks 🙏. You stay positive too, ok? It's important!
@@LivingOutLoud-LWS4C Since 2 days ago my shortness of breath is really making me feel bad. I'm checking my oxygen and it's getting compromised so I guess I need supplementary oxygen 😔
@@Veronica-tn2xc I'm sorry to hear that. Breathing issues definitely have a HUGE impact. I hope it passes soon.
@@LivingOutLoud-LWS4C Hello friend. I had to start using supplementary oxygen. I had COVID-19 twice so I bought an oxygen machine at home so I rushed. Then my oncologist checked me and yes now I must use all the time.
@@Veronica-tn2xc That definitely sucks, but you're lucky you already had it on hand when you needed it. I guess this is a good reminder that everything happy for a reason.

I see you like to broadcast to the world that you're an insensitive a**hole. Good for you.
@@LivingOutLoud-LWS4C I think you should keep this to yourself is personal, what good dose it do to share this is not like you will get out alive from this.
I am dying myself and I am terrified of how it is happening... so I am not insensitive...
@@fwdflashwebdesign That's funny, coming from someone who is trying to impose their beliefs onto me. It's not because you have given up that I need to do the same. I respect the choice you have made. How about you respect mine? Is that too much to ask?
