People are used to seeing peacocks display coats and tails of splendid colors, but a white peacock is an usual find. Some of the meanings that different societies attach to the multicolored birds include nobility, guidance, beauty and fidelity. The same attributes are also paid to white peacocks, but humans also pin other forms of symbolism on them because of their white hue.
The peafowl include two Asiatic bird species (the blue or Indian peafowl originally of India and Sri Lanka and the green peafowl of Myanmar, Indochina, and Java) and one African species (the Congo peafowl native only to the Congo Basin) of bird in the genera Pavo and Afropavo of the Phasianidae family, the pheasants and their allies, known for the male's piercing call and, among the Asiatic species, his extravagant eye-spotted tail covert feathers which he displays as part of a courtship ritual. The term peacock is properly reserved for the male; the female is known as a peahen, and the immature offspring are sometimes called peachicks.

My preschool had a giant peacock cage with several peafowl in front of the back entrance to the school. Whenever we were done with recess, we would always pass by these ginormous cages and hear their calls.
Now, whenever I hear a peacock call, I just think back at the times where I saw these brilliant birds show off their tails.
And I smile.
I remember that it was my dad who recorded this video. It was in Jan 2016 at some zoo in Singapore (don't remember the name :P)
