I was planning to create a story involving a cat god character, but I'm really starting to backtrack on the idea as I realize some people may be upset with me using characters that have religious symbolism behind it... I thought the trend of making biblically accurate cat characters was really cool (as it has been done before) and I really wanted to create an overarching story behind it, but my intentions may not have been the best. I really hope my idea can come into the light someday, but for now I just need to research on how not to make the concept insensitive. Sorry if this trend is upsetting you.
I'm so thankful that youtube showing some underrated animators though recommendations! This is by far the best animation meme I've seen in ages! I adore the color pallet and character design so much and MAN don't get me started on that frame by frame animation. I can imagine how painfully long it must have took to redraw even still frames. There's so much life and personality in every little movement Samo Dobro makes. I appreciate how he takes glasses out of nowhere and later they just disappear in his hand, as well as having pair of same hands do other things just like old cartoons had, very sweet and adds to overall creepy yet somewhat friendly and warming atmosphere. Speaking of creepy things, I like how his name can be translated as the good itself in several languages! I always loved when characters had those obvious names like Dr evil, but Samo Dobro presumably does not so "good" things and even gives us the scary stare with the scene going dark, while his eyes start to glow! Overall solid 10 out of 10, incredible animation and fantastic ideas! When I see something stunning I write a huge ass comment of appreciation, so sorry if its too much tho :)

I wasn't expecting That Handsome Devil today.
Okay. Wow. This? Incredible. From the animation down to the style. The way you animate is very expressive! The gestures here are strong and the facial expressions are matching the line delivery. I noticed how he has his eyes closed while talking about our call to heaven, like it's completely normal and it adds to the impression that he is a creature of higher being. And wow, I absolutely love his body language! It's nonchalant and it tells a lot of his character. For example, look at how he just whips out his glasses and he waves off his hand, then his arms. Also, the movement leads the focus onto the glasses, that's great staging! You also have a good understanding of follow through and overlapping action and it shows! The animation feels so smooth and alive!
The character design and backgrounds are something else entirely. It's unsettling but the way Samo Dobro presents himself makes him seem friendly and safe. It sends off the vibes of "Be not afraid". Definitely looking forward to more of your work
Thank you! I love reading long comments and I'm glad you paid attention to his expressions and body language. I tried to give him a stereotipical secretary geustures like they show in movies so while animating Samo Dobro I was imaginating him having a very long nails. I also tried to copy mimics of saints potrayed on paintings

I. LOVE. THIS. ANIMATION. I can't describe it, but it looks so bouncy and the lip sync is top notch and the character looks amazing, the background is amazing. This looks like it's from Disney if they did more 2d animations.
