Lewis panic..? Boba panicked literally every single day over the smallest things.. They even failed day 1 because Boba panicked over just using the oven.. I swear she just fakes all this to try and fit in..

this was the most smooth plate up run Iâve seen. Even had a dramatic âboba quitsâ storyline
Now we need an episode where Boba runs away to join Sip's restaurant to complete the arc

What a rollercoaster. Imagine you skeptically go into this new "toost shop" in town, there's three people screaming at each other in the kitchen barely getting dry bread on your plate, and then a week later you're reading 5-star reviews about this sophisticated joint that runs like clockwork.
Complete with freshly microwaved beans and plain black coffee!
Over an hour of plating up? The chef is a rat? And you don't know how to make toast and fail on the first day because a customer froze to death waiting? This is perfection!
The restaurant should be called Ratatoastie

Boba being sus was so stressful. Canât believe this was the best run so far. Literally 5 star video.
I rarely say this but I think the MVP was actually Pedguin on this one. Getting group sizes to 1 and immediate ordering meant the server needed to be on top of it, he set up his station, never got in the way, never got flustered + did coffee. Props to Lewis for setting up the kitchen but Ped was quietly doing a lot of managing during the work day. He even made it easier on the kitchen staff by making it clear "toast goes here, beans go here, I'll handle the rest."
This is basically me playing with my friends. I can do literally any job in the restaurant just listen to me and let me do the rest. I organize it similar to Ped where I always have things go to a specific spot then I'll do the rest - if necessary. Lewis is too disorganized for a game like this honestly.. he's good at automation but for some reason he can't physically do it himself.
You can really tell too, he hardly talks at all on day 15
He did his jobs well, but I think he could have done more to help. Numerous times he had plenty of extra time to help with washing dishes or preparing his own beans, but instead heâd dump the plates or call out âBeans!â and then wait around doing nothing while someone else did it.
@@pokemaniacmatt7148 Well Ped's job was waiting on tables. Boba's was to cook. Lewis's job was mostly to be the sous chef and dishwasher. He cleans dishes and does anything else. With the limited space they had it made sense for Ped to just take a corner and not move because he'd just get in their way. Lewis then mostly used the middle of the kitchen while Boba mostly used the right.
So really if Ped was to have helped more he'd have hindered the others.

@@Direk091 You're not wrong. I've had a vegetarian meal at a prison before. It was bland, unseasoned vegetables and I think rice instead of toast. (I wasn't IN prison, BTW; I was there as a trainer for some of the employees for a day.)

When Ped genuinely enjoys a game he's great to watch. When he's basically being made to play it as part of his job, he's so irritating to watch because he tries to "troll" everyone to make it fun for him but ruins it for others. Here you can see he's enjoying his role but Lewis just keeps stepping over everyone and messing things up then Boba is just constantly in a fake state of panic to try and fit in..
@@Eventide215 After how annoying Ped has been in some GTA episodes, I was really surprised that Boba turned out to be the traitor/troll in this one more than Ped. Ped even had the line that made me crack up the most (40:07): "We've gone from 'Ahh... toast.' to 'AHH! TOAST!' "
Agreed, I expected him to be the snake but ol' miss Marskapwn surprised me.

I was waiting for them to mess up so I could say "they totally beansed it", but somehow they actually pulled this one off! This might even be the first successful Plate Up run that I can remember~
Technically, they did beans it at first, and lost faster than I've ever seen anyone lose, but then they went all the way on the next try.
I lost it when they were baking bread on the hob and heating the beans in the oven. Laughed way too long.

if you swap the conveyor in the kitchen for the prep station you can fill it up with toast and anything that's not eaten by the conveyor will stay in prep for next day

Boba is 100% correct about the brown floor, I've worked in several kitchens and all of them have had that exact floor. Never seen a blue floor

I just finished watching Sips' VOD of PlateUp with Hafu. This is... a different experience than that.
After playing this game for a couple hours, whenever they make you pick between two cards, you always pick the one that doesn't change anything in the kitchen.
This was very true for my single player one
I have a very confident chef when I play multiplayer who wants the challenge
Itâs actually often a curse in disguise. The extra options add -15% customers, so although thereâs more variety it slows down the mad rush later on
@@MonotoneCreeper Yeah you will often have less customers than the day before if you pick more options
@@MonotoneCreeper This is what I found. I kept failing when I did the one that didn't add variety, but as soon as I did the one that changes stuff in the kitchen, it slowed the game down massively and let me get to overtime day 5-6 by myself.
In another round. the yogs actually just added every new thing and they succeeded because the customer count was so low on day 15 that it was manageable. Maybe the trick is actually just never mixing your decision of new dishes vs other challenges
I would love a Lewis, Duncan and Simon game. It would almost certainly be hilarious

The Boba and Ped dynamic is amazing, they're such great friends and the fact Lewis is just watching all of this tom foolery is amazing.
Great friends..? Are you watching two different people? Boba constantly hates on Ped.. especially in their Project Zomboid series at the end. She became so angry with him she refused to talk to him and it lasted for a while into their Core Keeper series too.. Boba is an overgrown child and that's putting it mildly. She's so worried about fitting in that she keeps doing such fake things like the full on panic every day on here just cooking toast. Every single time she "panics" you can hear an underlying laughter in the tone.

The aim of Plate Up is to make you panic and when you panic in a game you have fun no? You surely can't believe that games like this (e.g. overcooked) are supposed to be played with friends where all of you aren't allowed to get excited and/or crack a smile.

Rewatching this now a year later really makes you realize how a lot of their troubles stemmed from Boba's decisions and impulses which then gets pushed onto Ped due to gaslighting
this is within the top 1% of plate up runs, even with the amongus and ped's relative inexperience

i swear in most of these lewis is actually the weak link cause he consistantly tries to do other people's jobs FOR them and thus gets in the way lol! like a lot of the early dish pileups were because lewis, the dishwasher, was too focused on making bread, and blocking boba from also making bread by doing so
