The Clyde rebuild was fantastic, but the fact Connor Young who starts with a 33CA and a max PA of 60 somehow managed to keep performing from league 2 to scoring in the conference league final is crazy to me
His CA and PA is higher, afterwards I checked in the editor and his max PA is 110 so I think we must have got a version of him around that level!
@@TomFMj was gonna ask you to do cove to make every big city in Scotland have 2 big clubs and win the league but this is just as good
He's got a capped PA of 102. @@TomFM
@@WieselAlbertLast I remember PA is a range so each save it's assigned a different number from that range based on what range FM have set for a given player
Hello Tom, long time watcher first time commenter.
My cousin is the real Ben Gleeson. He won a prestigious award in Man v Fat and as part of the prize, he was awarded a new gen spot in the latest Football Manager. It is so amazing to see him in your save and banging in goals despite being a Central Defensive Midfielder!!!

22:22 KI Klaksvik is not Icelandic. They are from the Faroe Islands 🇫🇴 and in real life stunned people when they actually caused some huge upsets to be the first Faroese team to make it into a European competition beating more recognizable teams like Molde, Ferencvaros and even giving a good accounting of themselves against French side Lille.
They even beat Olimpija Ljubljana in the group stage.
they did not beat Molde. Molde sent them down to the conference league
One thing I'd like to see in future rebuilds, at the end, would be if you could sim 5 years into the future, so we can see if your success lasted or if they went back down to League 2 (a la Swansea 1976-1986)...
If I saw that final screenshot right, Connor Young had gone from League Two youngster to captain of a Premiership and Europa Conference League winning side, yet didn't pay for Scotland once. That's harsh!
What I love about football manager rebuilds is it feel so much more satisfying winning as on fifa rebuilds over time it feel scripted but here it feels natural and a great achievement
Normally a silent watcher mate but absolutely love these rebuild videos and appreciate the massive effort that goes into them 👍🏻
Just out of curiosity how long does it usually take you to finish one of these rebuilds?

As someone who lives in Cumbernauld where Clyde used to play this was a great watch, I usually do Clyde as my one club save every year
Same. Winning the CL with Clyde is a save I do every year.
Am I right in thinking they now play in Hamilton?
@@TomFM I could write a book here but TL:DR; they are originally from Glasgow(-ish) but were evicted in the 1990s, moved to Cumbernauld, were evicted again in 2022 and moved to Hamilton. They have a long-term plan to return to Glasgow.
@@TomFM They do, the lease is for three seasons with an option to extend for a further two, they could move after the third season ( 24/25 ) but they have the option to add addition seasons if they need it

I remember on some of the older FM games he was genuinely a Champions League winning quality striker whilst at Zenit.
Tom, that is one hell of a rebuild. From the 5th tier to winning the title and a Conference League? Well done!
I really enjoy these so much i wish they were another season or two longer, two titles or two different european cups seems like a nicer goal
Nice video and amazing turnaround but it does leave me with so many questions lol. Either you're really good at this or the game does weight for you slightly as it's incredible you took Clyde so far in 9 seasons with no takeover and really not much transfer spending.
splendid video! really enjoyed how you summed it all up and loved the journey. I did a save with aberdeen last year and it took me 5 years to win the title with them

Salomón Rondón has been a stalwart in many of my lower league campaigns from FM22 to FM24, fantastic pickup.
FC Honka went bankrupt in late summer and were relegated to the third division of Finland so it is super embarecing that you let them score against you
Hopefully they can get back to where they were!

Fun fact for you Tom, Nicky Low used to play for both Arbroath and Kelty Hearts, Brilliant for both sides. Good to see he's jsut as good in FM as he was for Kelty

This brings back memories. Played with Clyde in FM10 and i took them from bottom to the top of PL but it took way longer for me, i recon atleast 20 years. I found it very difficult to compete in Europe proper. After some luck i got to EL final against Sevilla and… lost. After that i closed the save and never went back.. heartbreaking! But all things considered fond memories :D
I laughed when you dissed the challenge cup! It was my first trophy on that save after struggling in the shits for so long and i was almost in tears when i won that. epic times.

That reminds me of Sir Alex Ferguson with Aberdeen. Because he also did the same thing with Aberdeen as well.
I do like Lollujo's two games per episode and playing the rest off cam but oh man do i prefer this style better. Loving these "rebuilding X worst team". Hope you hit 200k before the end of the year!🎉

The rebuild was insane, but even more insane was Connor Young am who stuck and performed amazingly for the team throughout the rebuild.

I wonder how long it will be before someone can have the audacity to apply at a real professional football club having never played professionally, but having excelled at Football Manager. I reckon an amateur club has just such a head coach somewhere.

I didn't realise all the European competitions were switching to that giant league phase, thought it was just the Champions League. Glad I watched this video now.
Took me 6 years to break the old firm and win the league. And that was when managing Aberdeen! Infact I won the Europa League before I won the Scottish Premiership. Lol so good luck!

I love a lower Scottish league save, I've got a 2019 Peterhead save going where I regularly get European football but I haven't managed to split the arse cheeks yet.
I always used to give Berwick loads of cash and top tier staff, then watch what they get up to while I’m managing another team. But! They’ve dropped out of the top leagues 😢
