I'm actually not too torn about this news.
- Fantasy Life i, could have a good chance of finding an audience on a brand new system's launch if that's thier plan. I'd buy into that idea for a niche franchise that I already like, like Fantasy Life.
- Assuming we're getting a Pokemon Presents soon, getting all the mobile stuff out of the way at the PWC, isn't the worst way to sweep the minor announcements out of the way.
-Silksong not coming out yet is not a shock.
- The Nintendo Museum Tour did exactly what it was supposed to do. I found it quite interesting. Besides it would've been cheap to tease the next upcoming console in that tour given how upfront they were about announcing it before.

For the people who are disappointed. We ourselves are the ones who got angry at game freaks for the terrible quality of pokemon games, we are the ones who said they should take more time to make the games. And that gaming freak that is actually doing that is only a good thing. Combine that with the fact that game freak is hiring a lot of new employees and that ILCA has created a studio called pokemon works is amazing sign
Why would PLZ-A be a cross platform title? I see it being on Nintendo Switch & NS2 bcuz of backwards compatibility, but I don't see PLZ-A being XBOX series X/S or PlayStation 5.

@@jonathanmilligan1397 fantasy life is a finished game and is ready to go but they can't have two big cozy games in the same month. Animal crossing is a far bigger IP so they moved Fantasy life so it wouldn't get its lunch eaten. Why else would they delay a cozy game?

lol Level 5 didn’t make games for the switch because they were shut down. I don’t even know how they’re back making a new Professor Layton and a new Fantasy Life because the last we all knew the studio had been completely shut down.
I don't care what anyone says. I'm so glad the Pokemon Company didn't reveal any mainline Pokemon games and just gave updates for Pokemon Unite, Pokemon Go, and Pokemon TCG Pocket. Like I've said before, Pokemon Company needs to reflect and not make a good game with terrible performance and glitches. So the fact that the Pokemon Company might not have any mainline or spin-off games for 2024 is a huge blessing in my book. If they're taking the time necessary like I hope they are then Pokemon Legends Z-A might turn out to be a great game with no performance issues or major glitches.
I hope the game never comes out at all because I'm sick of hearing about it one way or the other.
In some countries TCG Pocket won't be available, my country doesn't allow hidden gambling. So, it won't be available in my country (it was the same with Pokémon Masters.) Off course I'm not happy with this. Now the Pokémon Worlds closing ceremony feels even more like an empty shell. With the lack of information on Pokémon Legends ZA, I've got the feeling that all information is hiding behind a NDA (Non-disclosure agreement). It's not because the Pokémon Company doesn't want to give use information, but because they aren't allowed to it. This raises the change that Pokémon Legends Z-A is a Switch successor. And as soon as the Nintendo Switch successor is announced, all information will flood in. Also their was a small Nintendo direct about the Nintendo Museum. At first sight nothing special, however they announced the opening on 2 October 2024. Off course it would be strange that the Switch successor is absent from the museum. So do we get some information before it opens? Also it was noticeable how they avoided some parts of the museum. That gives me even more suspicion.
I thought we all established that Nintendo biggest strength is that they’re the opposite of PlayStation and Xbox and they don’t prioritize graphics
Why does this lesson go out the window when it comes to pokemon?

Pokémon is about the lore, the soundtrack, the story, the character designs, the messages and themes etc

Nintendo has the most sustainable business model. Going lower-tech and lower-spec was the smart play. Nintendo is one of the only companies that realizes they make video games... not "technology". GAMES. Sony has completely lost this perspective, and I'm not sure that Microsoft ever had this perspective.
Nintendo is the last REAL game maker around that happens to also make consoles.
I think Nintendo has seen this coming for a long time. With age comes experience, and this company has seen many adversaries rise and fall. Nintendo saw their competitors promising better and better production to the point where there is no return on investment and only their frail fundamental IP to justify hardware. Now the third parties are fleeing and afraid of partnering.
Nintendo have been playing the long game and it has paid off in spades.
When we say Nintendo consoles and games are inseparable we mean it literally since the devs make both the console and games at the same time together simultaneously
Nintendo thrives in limitations it allows for more creativity
People see Pokémon as a game or any other series that’s either good or bad but it’s not that it’s more than that Pokemon isn’t only games as a brand so stop treating it as if it’s just games when u say it’s dying cuz it’s not it’s more alive than ever
It’s a culture and a lifestyle a living breathing world with a story and lore and characters
We form parasocial relationships with these fictional animals because we love them so much and they have so much personality and backstory and it is a very customizable series it’s a perfect creative outlet

At this point, I might as well buy titles like Sword or Shield, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and even Scarlet and Violet, because those might be enticing for me at this point, because It's been TOO long since I bought a Pokemon Game.
Sucks Fantasy Life was has been pushed back (hopefully not shelved), but it would make a great release title for next gen!
S/V was a good game for sure, sans all the performance issues. If a delay means better multiplayer / full co-op and better performance, I'm all for another 1-2 years wait.

OK, I need to add this cause this needs to be said I get it. Everyone is looking forward to Pacific game. I can understand dealing with the pain that it may be delayed but also about Pokémon everyone should’ve expected that they were gonna only talk about their mobile apps. I mean that apparently what they’re making the most money on which I think is dumb as well but apparently it seems properly and we’re not gonna be getting anything from the company this year that doesn’t mean there’s gonna be possibly more in 2025 or even 2026 so it’s the matter of, patience and understanding like I said the Pokémon mobile games do you have their own audience which is great but not everyone loves those games and so I too not a fan but I support it just not buy playing the games but also reminder everybody asked the Pokémon community for the next Pokémon game to take a year of development and they listened and now everyone wants a game right now honestly again that is going to be patience because what if we hear something about remakes in 2025 maybe in the summer maybe in the winter of 2025 we won’t know until they say something until then we have to be patient
People, ZA is at least a year off still, so is the next console. Stop getting worked up. Stop listening to the CZcamsrs who say things are coming soon. 3rd party Devs were told shoot for fall 2025 with new console games. Easy to figure out what that means. Too early for major news on ZA. Obviously things can change, but more likely that it won’t.
