The Drinker is misleading a bit. This is based on Flashpoint which precedes No Way Home and both movies were in production at the same time. Also, this is the original film Michael Keaton was signed on to return as Batman, not the cancelled Batgirl. Lastly the Flash is meant to be a bit annoying.
So they replace superman but they wont replace this dude? 🤦🏻♂

Great point Tyrone. Why not have separate movies with several iterations of the DC characters like the Snyderverse, Gunnverse and whateververse that comes along. I think DC is in the better position, and had always been, to allow that compared to how Marvel does theirs. That's one of DC's strengths. I'm no comic book fanatic but seems like what the comic books have in DC is already set up for that. Everyone wins!! The best of both worlds(or multiverses if you will!). Now it mightn't work but they do already have their foundations of different superheroes, expand that. The DC fandom are varied compared to Marvel, unfortunately brought upon themselves with their chopping and changing, but this could satisfying everyone's taste. Anyway, just my two cents🤷🏻

@@callmejacob3234 I know what your saying. Yeah, I don't know. I just thought while the actors are there to continue working with their current portrayals, it would keep all of the fandom united. It's not like everyone hated the Snyderverse! I really enjoyed his take on the characters, especially when I'm not a comic book reader, his movies drew me into the DC world. (I didn't even know who Zack was and didn't realize he directed 300 and watchmen but I loved those movies😊). Surely that's what will get new fans in, while satisfying the diehard fans with Gunn's world?

If you want to see Keaton in his prime as Batman, just rewatch the '89 movie. I can almost guarantee a modernized version of his character in 2023 will not be even close to the '89 one.

I too DON"T have a problem with several Batman characters being around either. I love each in their own way. It's fine with it being a multiverse thing IF DC can handle it well. BUT it would mean that other people beyond Gunn would have to be dealing with them.
Watching WB dropping the ball with Superman and Batman, it wouldn't surprise me if they mess up this one. I mean, Man of Steel 2 would have been a great precursor to Kingdom Come....the only saving grace for The Flash movie is if JDM does cameo as Thomas Wayne/Batman as an anticipation to FlashPoint...

The main reason why I won’t see this movie is because they brought back Erza as the Flash he shouldn’t even be in any of these films period. They had no good reason to get rid of Cavill meanwhile they had a reason to get rid of Erza and they didn’t makes no sense.
