Nice pinto , had one with twin 45 and big cam big valves and serious porting and was backed with a Toyota split case 5 SPD all in my 72 LJ four cylinder Torana , used to lift the front wheels of the deck , always wanted HPE in England to build a pinto for me he's the man🏁 ,Nice TE cortt mate too btw🤘
Gawd darn it that’s bloody beautiful sounds meaner than my wife ! Gorgeous car . Don’t know how you got a 4 cylinder to sound like that but it sure sounds fab nice job 👍
My first car was a 1977 Gold - 250 crossflow Cortina Ghia. Was awesome. Bored 40 thou, Ford XF head and genie extractors. Loved it. Should of kept this and put a Barra Turbo in it
I had a silver 2.0 gls 1979 sounded a bit like yours that a weber 45 carb highlift cam uprated aircleaner and ported and polished head sold it when I got married as my wife Debbie never got on with it as no power steering shame really looking back as don't see them on road now in uk only one or two appear at car shows
Unfortunately sold her without engine for about 10k from memory, sold engine later for about 5k. Should have kept it probably worth 25k today and such a very clean classic
Haha yep. Was a Barry Grant Carb but ran so rich 24L/100km lol. Eventually swapped to duel side draughts and sold it. Not sure about cam was a bit lumpy
It went real good, used alot less fuel too that for sure. Unfortunately I don’t have specs anymore after I sold it wish I didn’t but have a 400hp Escort now !!
😂 yeah we only had 6 cylinders in these over here this was something different. Wow you had these in Canada that’s cool. Guys over here do the V8 conversion that would be awesome 🤩. Sold it a while ago for a new project wish I didn’t.
We have V8 Escorts, Capris and Cortys here in Australia. DMT351 is an old skool street car from the 80's. Get the Kleenex ready when you watch that in action. 😊
Is that a four barrel carb?! What is the inlet manifold and carb size? The wheels spoil the look in my opinion. To tall looking, gives the impression that they're too far inward.
@NatesToolbox my dad had a creamy mk3 with a brown leather roof it was a bit like a front room then he picked up an estate mk4 it was shit at towing so he bought a rover3500
Still has the seventies hand brake sound 😁

"Yeah its a 4cyl but every one of my cylinders is worth 2".

My thoughts exactly 😂 wish I never sold it
There were Straight Six Cortina's too, they had the 250 originally from the '69 Mustang until 1982

My 71 ford capri 2.0 sound like yours
Really? Back in the 80s in Canada we were shoehorning a true V8 Ford 302 into these boxes.
They went like stink but didn't turn for $hit.

It is a very thirsty 4 Barrel 🤣. I did swap it for side draught webbers before selling it
it sound like v8
This sounds similar to the one I'm trying to buy
Awesome 👏🏻
It’s only a two litre pinto engine over carbed
Интересно почитать что было сделано по машине
