I had to pause this video when I saw the white ford cortina doing 8 seconds.
My dad owned several cortina with one of them was modified with a powerful nissan engine. This video brings back childhood memories.
I was in Germany for a few years in the mid-80's and a friend had a Ford Taunus (may be mispelled) that looked a lot like the Cortina. I liked it a lot.
My first car was a Mk4 Cortina 1.6L This video brings back fond memories, thank you.
Nice.. my first car after passing my test in ‘89 was a MkV 2L Cortina.. it was silver, but I resprayed it in grey primer and left it like that.. Lowered it with Spax springs, added a 4 branch Ashley manifold and exhaust, K&N air filter, fitted Sierra XR4i alloys... and fitted dark tinted polycarbonate clip on front light covers and sprayed the rear lenses black.. Bloody loved that car! Some dozy bint in a Merc killed it after pulling out straight in front of me 😕

ace footage. 25 years ago i bought a mk1 estate which i fitted a Jan speed turbo v6 into, i still use it to this day. quick olde jolopey but nothing like todays turbo motors. keep up the good work!

I had a mark 4 cortina with a 253 holden v8 built in. With a celica gear box 9inch dif. It made people turn heads, it even freaked some out holden motor inside a ford.
I learnt to drive in a red Ford Cortina "B" Reg (1964 model?). My dad used to do his own servicing as the engines were more simple/more accessible then!

Cool car when I was a kid dad always had cortinas he had a mk1 lotus which was nice but my favourite was the 4 running a cosworth that he built that thing was fast

The grey cortina was running a rover v8 with 2 lorry turbos and was the first season she had been on the track and was being run in but then another engine was fitted but was decided wasn't big enough but is now in the process off having a bigger engine fitted she should be back at santa pod next year 2022

Y a pas par respect pour mon pere il faux que je trouve une ford capri ou taunus du ciel il me vera et ce dira alors tu vois que j avait raison avec sa ford taunus au debut de l autoroute A4 on est monter a 240 kil et il avait que le 2l6 rs apres il a monter le 3l v6 et sa pousser tres fort
