The Zero Effect (Bill Pullman); Wing Commander (Freddie Prince Jr; it's corny dialogue and bad puppeteering but I love it); Ransom (Mel Gibson); Blue Streak (Martin Lawrence); Highlander I & III (NOT the 2nd movie; Christopher Lambert); King Arthur Director's Cut (Clive Owen); Basic (John Travolta); Michael (John Travolta); Multiplicity (Michael Keaton). That's a......... good mix, right there. lol I'd be the world's greatest comedian if I was my only audience.
PLEASE be Miles and Gwen for Halloween. It would be so dope.
Yes
Frr
No, Kingpin and Rogue.
@@chand911it’s cause they a black dude and white girl bro
yes pls be this for halloween! i also want to see this
Fun fact: All of these Spider people were already actual characters before this movie came out. The oldest of them (besides Peter Parker, obviously) is actually Peter Porker aka Spider-Ham, who was created in the 80's.
Yep they’re all real……probably worth the google.
@@Otisboy121 the reference lol
I like how everyone walked into this movie thinking it was gonna be a kids film, only for it to be the best Spider-Man story ever told
I absolutely agree. I definitely did NOT expect the movie to be this good. Across the Spider-Verse is still amazing too! I can't WAIT for Beyond
When it first came out on cinema I thought it was a childish movie so I didn’t go. But I watched it when it was put on Netflix and boy do I regret judging it so quickly.
If you know anything about the directors/writers, you would've walked in expecting a masterpiece ;)
I was one of those people and now I regret I didn't go see it in theaters.
@@imgonnatouchyouniceandslow I watched this when it first came out. It still is the best theater experience I ever had.
The thing about Stan Lee's cameo in this is movie is that it was the first after he had passed away a month earlier. Seeing him in that scene where the characters were coping with the loss of a great hero really mirrored what many in the comic fandom were going through while mourning the loss of this man that helped to bring so many of our favorite heroes to life on the page and screen. It's simultaneously one of my favorite cameos and one that is hardest to watch, especially when he said, "I'm going to miss him."
When I saw that scene for the first time, I pointed to my screen and said “We’re gonna miss YOU, Stan!”
I was crying so much in the theater when I saw him in this movie ;;
Shoshana geeking out over Spider-Gwen was wholesome AF.
If you loved spider-woman, then there is so much of her in the sequel. She gets even more awesome.
Lol who actually calls her Spider-Woman? Someone obviously doesnt read comics.
@@chand911And whats the problem...? Ghost-Spider, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Woman, any name is valid :/ bruh
@@chand911 Who cares if he doesn't read the comics. You are like the stereo typical sweaty fat neckbeard nerd lol. Touch grass bro.
@@chand911This version called herself Spider-Woman.
Too much of her in the sequel to the detriment of Miles character.
animation dont mean its childish its just art form to express yourself i kinda hate that when people think of animated movie they think childish
It is usually sold as childis by bigger companies, so that is the more common view. Albeit a wrong one
@@demianoff I know right! big companies gave people the wrong idea of animation and it's use
Especially Avatar the last Air bender....an absolute masterpiece
@@maxim196 young justice deals with a lot of very complex and serious issues, far more than a lot of live action sh ows or movies
Agreed it’s such a close minded way of looking at animation as a medium.
I love shana's reaction to Spider-Gwen. Had the same reaction when it showed "Spider Gwen" on the big screeen. There are other spider ladies as well in the comics, There's "Spider Woman", "Silk", "Spider Gwen" of course so far.
And the costume Idea would actually be fire for both of you to have. lol :)
So glad you mentioned SILK. I love her so much!
spider-woman isn't really a spider-man character in the traditional sense.
@@DatAsianGuy It kind of depends, really. Jessica Drew Spider-Woman isn't sure, but you have Julia Carpenter and Mattie Franklin that are. Then you have the other dimensions like Mayday Parker and Barton's daughter from Old Man Logan.
I always love it when people who know absolutely nothing about spider verse in any way get to be surprised and introduced to Spider Gwen for the first time. Especially given the other Gwens’ fates. There’s also in the next movie Jess Drew, and Charlotte Webber and Felicia Hardy from the new edge of spider verse comics. Heck, there’s even a couple of Spider Woman Mary Jane Watsons.
@@aaronbeatdownand more recently, Felicia Hardy who became Night Spider.
You two dressing up as Spider-Woman and Spider-Man is a good idea for Halloween
Miles Morales was created in 2011, because from 2009 to 2014, Glover played Troy Barnes in the sitcom ‘Community,’ who inspired a writer for Marvel comics to create Miles Morales.
Not true - seeing the positive reception to Glover's character wearing those Spider-Man pajamas proved to Brian Michael Bendis that the world was ready for his Spider-Man but he was never an inspiration or influence for the character.
@@darbs1832 both are wrong. basically glover was actually campaigning to play spiderman in the yet to come, amazing spiderman. of course he lost, but seeing how popular his campaign got made BMB write a new spiderman that glover could play.
@@marcosdheleno A simple google search would show that you're wrong. Miles has nothing to do with Glover whatsoever.
On you're Green Goblin question it really depends on which comic universe. The Goblin we see in this film is based heavily on the Ultimate Green Goblin from The Ultimate Universe (Earth-1610) the same universe in which the character of Miles Morales was introduced too back in 2011's Ultimate Comics: Fallout #4. This Goblin was created when Norman Osborn tested the OZ Serum on himself, a re-creation of the Super Solider Serum used to turn Steve Rogers into Captain America over 6 decades ago. This transforms Norman into a hulking monster that resembles a Goblin.
In the Mainline Marvel Universe of Prime Earth (Earth-616) Norman is closer to what you two know of Goblin from the live action movies. Norman was efforted by a chemical solution which granted him superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, and stamina as well as a low-level rapid healing factor. He then took the identify of Green Goblin dawning a Goblin outfit and using a Glider to fly around on just like the films. Visually he looks the same like the Sam Rami films so the Goblin identity was also used to hide who he was so that Norman could still continue on with his normal life running Oscorp. This is true for other renditions of the character as well from cartoons to live action films etc. Peter B Parker is closer to the Earth-616 comics so his Green Goblin would be what I described above.
60 decades ago?😂
@@Blag_Cog Oh shit yeah I meant 6 lol thanks for that. I'm pretty sure I was undecided if I should say 60 years or 6 decades.
Pretty overrated movie
@@Meepie_Playzbetter than your fav spider-man movie
Across the Spider-Verse, the 2nd movie was incredible. If you loved this one, you'll love the next movie 10xs more. Everything is just.. on a larger more epic scale. You'll especially love Gwen in this movie, she's amazing! And you feel so proud of Miles! I'd be awesome to see a reaction of you guys watching it!
first ones better
@Leo.23232 2nd person I've heard say this. Hey, an opinion is an opinion. First one was amazing. I watched it like 10 times this past month lol.
@@andysokayi yeah i agree both are great
Ngl I kinda want a 6 hour Spider-Man movie
@Quenterro. I would not be mad if the next movie was 6- hours.. at least 3-hours lol. There's just so much they have to unpack after the cliffhanger.
I kind of love that in this universe it's implied that Aunt May and Doc Ock were friends at some point because Doc Ock says her friends call her Liv and when the villains crash Aunt May's house and fight all the Spiderpeople she refers to her as Liv.
Someone needs to tell these guys that not every film is connected. The characters names are almost always the same but in each franchise different people have different ideas on each character.
"omg is that a MARVEL REFERENCE :00000000000 !??!?!"
Yesss this.
I remember being very hyped to have a miles morales movie back in 2018, when everyone else was very skeptical about this movie. Once it came out, it exceeded everyone’s expectations by miles (pun not intended). This movie really changed the game for animation movies as a whole, and showed how amazing animation is for Spider-Man especially, it really proved the haters wrong. After watching this and it’s sequel several times, I believe this trilogy will be the best one of all time. Glad y’all have finally gotten to this gem!
I loved Into The Spiderverse sooo much! Loved it. Saw it in the theater twice. Watched pretty much every reaction to it on CZcams. All I wanted was to love Across The Spiderverse and just didn’t. Forgot almost everything that happened as soon as I walked out of the theater. Too overstuffed. Too many cutesie moments (Peter brings his baby on missions? Are you f-ing kidding me?). Excessive replay of pointing meme. Someone explain again how Miles watching his uncle die wasn’t good enough for the trope multi-verses? To me the movie was fan service EXTREME TO THE MAX.
@@jimhsfbaythe story was pretty simple to follow to me. Also most of the fan service served the story unlike No Way Home
@@jimhsfbay sounds like a you problem, because the movie was fantastic.
@@jimhsfbay that's unfortunate. Across was phenomenal.
In my opinion the spider-verse movies were made to introduce other spider people and not just focus on the Spider-Man u think of when u say Spider-Man aka Peter parker
So what do we learn today? Just because it's cartoon style doesn't mean it was made for kids, same thing with anime. I hope more people would react to more of the "cartoon-ish or anime-ish" style movie because there's so much good movie and series that went under everyone's radar just because the style alone😅
Also the movie is stupidly good tho. I did not expect it to be that good before but it totally broke my expectations and went way beyond that, i love this movie.
fun fact: in the scene where peter and miles meet where it first shows the spidey sense with the squiggly lines, peter's spidey sense is red and blue and miles' is green and purple, but changes to red and blue, signifying his fate changed from being the prowler to being spider-man
Shana’s absolutely gonna love Across the Spiderverse, Gwen is basically the co-lead of that movie
You guys would be surprised to know that there are so many different Spider-People in comic books out there. I for one LOVE IT, because there are a lot fun stories about all of them.
I was a big fan of the Spider-Ham comics when I was a kid in the 80s, so I was ecstatic that he was part of this, and John Mulaney was the perfect voice for him.
Actually, Gwen is referred as Spider Gwen by fans because there is already an spider woman.
That "Leap of Faith" sequence is such an all timer. Just god mode animation, music and story.
Top quality animation fills in the gaps of the limitations of live action Spiderman movies
Actually captures the sensation of getting absorbed in a comic book.
the one that just came out in the theatre for some reason surpassed his predecessor. its kind of insane when the first movie is already top tier. the second movie (across the spiderverse) is pure insanity
YOU COULD NOT PAY ME to be a Spider-Persons Uncle If I ever found out my nephew had spider powers I'm never leaving the house again. and I know that won't be enough to save me.
Never underestimate the potential of an animated film
Spider-Verse is not only one of my favorite comic book films, but it's one of my favorite animated films, period. Which is weird because this is the same studio who made the piece of turd known as The Emoji Movie a year before. But let's not talk about that, let's talk about Into the Spider-Verse! It has everything we'd like to see in a comic book film! The humor is excellent, every joke got a laugh out of me, the animation is phenomenal, the writing is brilliant, the characters are developed, the story is excellent, and the emotional moments hit me hard!
Producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller _(Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The LEGO Movie, 21 Jump Street)_ know what they're doing, and how to keep the studio interference to a minimum.
Columbia was one of six production companies that made this film. They don't get sold credit bud.
The emoji movie is top tier
You do realize emoji movie is meant for kids right? Of course you think it's trash lol
@@shadowphantom66 terrible argument, tons of stuff made for kids is good, that movie is actual trash
I saw this in the theater, and bawled my eyes out when the Stan Lee cameo came up, because this movie was released a few months after he passed. RIP to the legend
Did u notice how Miles jumped on top of the bullet Kingpin shot at him? One of the dopest and most underrated move in the whole movie.
Fun fact: The move that Miles used after taking the goober that neither Peter B or Gwen taught him? He learned it from HIS universe Spider-man by watching him pull it off at the beginning of the movie
First: I wish we can see Miles Morales in live action for once. Second: Can't wait for you guys to watch the sequel.
Well we met his uncle in Spider-Man: Homecoming. I’d say that’s a good start.
I’m also excited for them to check out the sequel as soon as it arrives on home media.
Sony announced they're working with one
Actually sony announced there working on one
@@nintenmetro yeah, but that's a different universe and maybe that Miles is a normal average guy. Some times those Easter-Eggs are simply that, winks to the fandom.
Ehhh tbh I really don't feel like the live action can live up anywhere close to these animated films! I mean for me these two are so good that I really believe we shouldn't even make any more live action spiderman films
LOL her reaction to there being a spider-women was hilarious 😂 there is MANNYYY more spider-people who are girls other than penny and Gwen MANY.
6:21 ....."I think is a coincidence, but he's in red and blue"..... Nothing in a movie is there by coincidence, specially when is one so well crafted as this one......
"Man is risking to kill everyone just to save his family"
Only after these words have u realized...
HOW THE TABLES HAVE TURNED
omg her being hyped for dressing up like spiderwoman for halloween while her partner dresses as spiderman is couple goals
I think your comment about them doing diversity right was so spot on especially with newer movies nowadays. The diversity of the characters wasn’t their personality. Like Spider-Gwen’s personality wasn’t just look women can be strong superhero’s to, and Miles wasn’t just hey people of color can be Spider-Man. They actually had personalities while acknowledging their diverse backgrounds
The Spiderman in sweatpants is supposed to be the original Spiderman from the comics - not the Tobey McGuire one or any other from the various movies.
The big albino Frankenstein's Monster-looking guy is called Tombstone - basically just hired muscle for the Kingpin.
This is the most comic-book-accurate depiction of Kingpin on any screen, ever. It would be very hard to do him right, visually, in live action.
Scorpion, the Prowler (Miles' uncle), and the other characters shown are all well-established Spiderman villains, although some of them are slightly different from the mainline comics (like Doc Ock being Olivia instead of Otto).
Spider-Ham (Peter Porker) was a spider bitten by a radioactive pig. In the comics, he actually predates all the other alternate Spider-people.
This is why you don’t look down on animation like it’s for kids animation is cinema people
There is a distinction between “cartoon” and “animated”, and neither necessarily means automatically for “kids” 😊😊
One thing I’m just noticing is Miles get his names dropped in costume around villains a lot.
There's actually been several Spider-Women. Gwen is actually the most recent, and was never meant to be permanent character, but the fans instantly fell in love with her (and her costume) and were able to generate enough buzz to get her own series (although Spider-Gwen is officially 'Ghost Spider' in the comics now to give her anonymity). There's been 5-6 different characters that have taken the moniker of Spider Woman aside from that. And there's also Silk, who was bitten by the same spider as Peter Parker.
There are multiple Spider-Women, there is Gwen that you saw here, there are others whose real identities are Jessica Drew, Julia Carpenter, and lastly Mattie Franklin. There is also one that doesn't go by the name Spider-Woman, but by the name Silk her alias is Cindy Moon, and there is also a Spider-Girl, alias Mayday Parker... Peter and MJ's daughter (she later adopts the name Spider-Woman after her father's death). I think that there are even more, but these are the only ones that I can remember.
These characters are straight from the comic books. They all had their own dimensions and were given the spotlight in the SpiderVerse comic book event. Spider-Gwen was very popular because of her costume and Miles was so popular because of his character and powers, that they have been brought over to the main, real, dimension, in the comic books.
Watch the next one in the series. You'll love it 👍🏽
It won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature at the 2019 Academy Awards
The 2nd one is definitely worth seeing
This is literally my first time ever watching you guys and this was genuinely one of the best reactions I've ever seen bc u guys went full in blind, the fact that she found out there was a spider woman was soo wholesome and u guys wanting to be miles and gwen for halloween is amazing u guys earned a new subscriber truly loved this!!
14:38 should've eaten that bagel, just saying 🗿
In the scene where Miles first goes to his Uncle's crib, his uncle's TV is playing a scene with Childish Gambino in it.
The best thing about you guys finally watching this movie now is you didn't have to wait 5 years for the sequel!!!
You would be surprised how many times Spider-Man has died in comics, and just how many spider people their is outside of this movie
YES, y'all definitely should dress up as Spider-Miles and Spider-Gwen lol.
Also, the second movies is called "Across the Spider-verse", but it'll be a while before y'all actually watch it.
...which reminds me; guess it would be a good time to watch Venom?
Anyways, great reactions and have a good day/evening✌
Great reaction! Vince brings such a good calm and cool balance to the reactions.
14:39 damn that bagel really hit the spot
One of my favorite tiny details in this movie is when Miles shows up to the fight near the end and where Peter says "Miles?" and Doc Ock says "Spider-Man..?"
I mean it definitely wasn't said like "another Spider-Man?" it was more like "wait... hold on... Spider-Man is back?"
I think that line delivered in that particular way was kinda like the movie establishing that Miles' new determination and confidence is getting him acknowledged as his universe's "official" Spider-Man.
Also I feel is underappreciated is when Miles defeats Kingpin with the shoulder touch...
A big part of what finally made him become Spider-Man was losing his uncle... Who was killed by Kingpin. So he defeats Kingpin by using a trick his uncle taught him. That's some poetic justice.
can't believe this was technically the last stan lee cameo before he died RIP the god himself
Don't know if yall notice but there's scenes in the beginning & maybe throughout the movie where they show the number (42) we first see it in the spider that bit Miles' then when he falls down & breaks the chip that Peter Parker gave him, you see the number 42 on the floor where he landed. If its my understanding that's a nod to Jackie Robinson; he's the first African American baseball player. There's a movie called 42 and the lead roll on that movie is none other then Chadwick Boseman. You guys should check it out! It's a great film.
It's so cool that you guys not only loved this movie, but also felt represented by it. I love the characters in this and Miles has become my favorite Spider-Man, he's just so aweosme and inspiring
Okay, you two are adorable as heck, rock your spidey duo look for Halloween! Her genuine joy at watching this along with his chillness breaking when the super iconic scenes went down made me smile like crazy. Keep it up!
LOVE your reactions, they r so honest and fun!
i like that all the guys and girls who watched to this movies are end up all surprised and smiling 😀such a great series. cant wait for part 3^^
I've been hype for this one, I knew you guys would like it. This is the Stan Lee cameo that hurts, right after his passing.
"I'm going to miss him. We were friends, you know?"
Fun Fact on the Kingpin: He's not actually fat, but mostly muscle. So he is strong enough to pick up cars, break concrete pillars, etc.
Miles is Afro-Latino. He’s African American through his father Jefferson (or Jeff) and Puerto Rican through his mother Rio.
If you think about it, the term no expectations has several different meanings:
1.) Miles' parents and teachers wanting him to succeed
2.) the Spider crew giving him a hard time assuming he can learn as fast as they did
3.) the box office
Given the reputation that Sony Pictures Animation has compared to other animation studios, some people feared that it wasn’t going to be successful.
Even though not many people invested in it the first time like they did with the live-action Spider-Man films, this movie still set the bar high for animation, made more in the box office than it was spent on, and introduced many people to Miles and other Spider-Heroes.
Over the past 2-3 years, many other reactors have also watched this movie for the first time and given their own positive thoughts about it.
Those include but are not limited to ItsTotallyCody, Mary Cherry, Natalie Gold, Sebscreen, Maple from Diegesis, Laika Jai TV, Laila Naema, Addie Counts, AkinReacts, Rico & Monica, Alex Hefner, Mr. Video, MellVerse, BillyBinges, Don Townsend, and Movies with Mary. Canadian reactor Kaielle plans to watch it at some point.
What’s still peculiar to me is that they implemented comic books in a comic book film. It’s kinda ironic because that’s not something usually done with superhero comic book films which have become the norm.
The entire film itself is one massive comic book. From the speech bubbles to the text boxes to the panels to the splash art, it’s almost as if us the audience are flipping through the pages as we’re watching the film.
We also got the most wholesome Stan Lee cameo ever. This film premiered about a month after he passed away.
The What’s Up Danger scene continues to be one of the best superhero moments ever. Miles got the confidence he needed to hear from his father, creates his own Spider-Man suit, and takes the leap of faith with What’s Up, Danger playing in the background.
I also thought it was cool to see Miles take that first leap with an upside-down city in the background. It represents that he’s rising up.
His origin story culminates with his own signature comic, and his first solo swing run shows that he’s finally prepared to fulfill his calling.
I also loved Miles’ closing monologue. Spider-Man has been my favorite Marvel character since I was a kid, but when Miles said anyone can wear the mask, I felt moved. My biggest hope is kids who watch this movie feel that way as well and imagine themselves as their own version of a Spider-Hero.
There are two sequels on the way. The second film Across the Spider-Verse will hit digital in about a month or two. In March 2024, we’re getting Beyond the Spider-Verse.
Oscar Isaac voiced Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099 in the post credit scene, and he’s gonna have a prominent role in Across the Spider-Verse.
There’s also a Spider-Woman spinoff in the works with Hailee expected to return as Gwen.
And finally, late musician Juice WRLD collaborated with Seezyn in the song called Hide. Juice would have been 24 today.
man, that bagel really hit the spot
16:53 one of the cutest things I've seen on YT 😂 she's definitely a keeper

I have seen the new one. And i gotta say it was a wild ride from beginning to end. In my opinion it was better than the first movie but others hold the first movie dear to their heart. They are both MASTERPIECES. Can't wait till y'all react to it
Hope you two are having an great and awesome weekend ❤
I am so glad you reacted to this. I watched the second move: Across The Spiderverse and I think although the first one is amazing the second one is even better. Excited for you to watch the sequel!
Awesome reaction. This was a joy to watch you watch :P
He also got bit by a different spider than the other spider-Men
It's not every day you find a video of a couple reacting to this movie who could potentially dress up as Miles and Gwen.
Love to see it, don’t know if you guys do series but I would highly recommend the spectacular spider man cartoon series if you guys are interested in more spider-man outside of the movies.
Brasileiro e adoro acompanhar esse casal :) Ansioso para verem a sequência desse que estava nos cinemas
Cant wait for your reaction to Spider-Verse 2! It should be coming out to digital soon. It's another banger, it should be out already but it keeps making money in theater, lol. Yall a dope couple, love the vibes!
Her: "I went into it assuming it was gonna be childish, because it was cartoon..."
Spider-ham: "You got a problem with cartoons?"
Miles Morales is one of the most powerful spidermans. There are so many different comics and universes but Miles is special. Dare I say the sequel tops the first.
Seen the 2nd one. Can't wait to see your reaction to it.
I can’t wait for you guys to watch the sequel of this one that just came out! So good! And we get way more Spider-Gwen!
You guys are so freaking adorable
Across the Spider Verse is amazing!!! Can't wait to see your reactions!
1:50 the thing you asked about Spider-Man can he get fat? Yes he can. He would probably still have superstrength underneath the fat, but this Peter Parker shows that that’s a possibility. Also, the thing about Captain America, is that she has to continue to train really hard in order to keep himself that strong. He’s not permanently strong so he could totally get out of shape too
"We don't choose the ballroom, we just dance!" - Nicolas Cage (Spiderman Noir - Black and white one).
Just watched across the spiderverse in theathers and it was amazing!
Spider-Man, Across the Universe is amazing as well - I think you guys will enjoy it a lot. I got to see if in the movie house and I was so happy (since I missed seeing the first one in theaters originally). Great reaction you guys! Love that passion you have for the MCU!
Oh - and there are several versions of Spider Woman including Ana Corazon.
Great reaction
The next one is even better. Can't wait for the third!!!
love you guys lol
This and the sequel are in my top 5 comic book movies of all time and the sequel is number one. Can't wait to watch that reaction
This is by far the best Spiderman movie. Until I saw the sequel in theaters and now that one's my favorite. It somehow does everything the first one does but better. And the first one was already a 10/10. Such a great series, cant wait for you to see the sequel.
I love people watching the original movie now that the sequel's out. Note: the sequel is also great.
I saw across the spider verse last month. Loved it
Into the Spiderverse is my all time favorite movie. I've seen it at least 100 times, probably more. I've seen the sequel 8 times so far and will see it many more. It's just as good as this one (better in some ways), but this first one is so special and means so much to me personally. Both movies are masterpieces.
I absolutely loved your reactions. You're so much fun to watch!
Speaking of Marvel, please continue watching X-Men series. It's been over three months since you guys saw the first movie.
