i bought the album on cassette from Our Price in Eddington, Birmingham on my lunch break at work in Perry Barr on the day it came out,had to get a bus there and back, I luv the album, a cool band indeed.
Great track and video, I remember catching this on MTV and I was startled by it. Around ten years ago I got hold of a 2x12" vinyl set with five different remixes of it, on Ebay (in great condition). :) This is a classic for sure. Billie is actually German by birth, she came from the West Berlin scene to the UK, and a first-class soul singer.
Miss these kind of songs now. Reminded me how good my youth was then !!! Great band had lots of chances of been a success sadly disbanded only after one album. Shame and sad .
Yep, r'n'b and dance music have become a lot more streamlined and fast-produced, and this kind of powerful songwriting and vocals have been elbowed out.

Saw Electribe 101 when they supported Depeche Mode in Berlin - 1990 World Violation tour (Violator album) Felt sorry for Billy Rae Martin. As a German citizen that had defined her career over the Channel in the UK the German crowd persisted to heckle her. It was literally months after German reunification.
