This Camera Changed My Life

A quick run-through my journey into the photography world. I've recently picked up the Fujifilm XT-5 and it has been a game changer when it comes to changing my perspective in a lot of ways, It's completely shattered what I thought previously were great cameras (Like the iPhone)
If you take anything from this video, it's that if you've been sitting on the fence buying your first camera, please do it, you won't regret it. (Especially if you're a creative like myself).

Absolutely agree, there's a huge learning curve associated with using a camera - if you understand the power of manual mode!
I've got a Canon M50 and that would be considered a very budget mirrorless camera yet there's no comparison between a well-shot photo on that and my iPhone 12!
I would love to see one of your YT videos shot on your XT-5!!

Good luck on your journey. Gone back to college at age 61 for a level 2 diploma in photography. Studio, darkroom, apple mac, photoshop and acces to other departments. Picked up a minolta xds with a rokkor 50mm, 1.4. Loving it; nothing like a black and white print coming up in the developer- magic

That is huge and inspirational that you’re back at it getting qualified! Hopefully you upload some of that on your channel, I have no doubt people would love to see the images and process.

And yes I know exactly what sparked my love of photography; an exhibition of the work of Robbert Mapplethorpe in Provincetown on the tip of Cape Cod when I was about 20. It wasnt so much the erotic content as his immense finesse of the images that left such as strong impression. I then trained for a year with a highly accomplished high street photographer who drew on the very artificial approach of Karsh who I still think sets the bar for portraiture. When I got to college in 1985 it was staged photography that caught my attention. Wishing you a merry xmas and a happy new year

What a video man!
I've always wanted a camera for photography and videography. Will certainly purchase one at some point next year. It amazes me how even a budget camera far surpasses an iPhone. Loved the end of the video haha.
