9:52 Car loses power, simple fix, back at the track to make up time. So fucking epic!!!!
+ambient0902 That's when it pays to have a knowledgeable driver behind the wheel. Compare that to how many times you've seen the pay driver brought in for the extra long races spin the car and need help on the radio with how to get it into reverse.
I can just agree
youre right so fucking epic:D
I agree, such an epic moment that happened very suddenly.
I don’t want to say it’s common, because it’s not...but everyone knows someone or has heard of someone it’s happened to....for example happened to us in our ChumpCar and we thought the car was dead after having dealt with electrical shitstorms all weekend. Smart to think of that in the moment and not let it be a “want to punch yourself” moment later on!
21:28
Genius XD
Fantastic use of time warp for what must be the cleanest lapping in history!
This is simultaneously the most amazing thing, and the most terrifying thing. I cant believe how much more exciting this is; no commentary, no outside shots, just a drivers eye view of what he and his machine are accomplishing. Had me on the seat of my pants the entire time.
I always love this Onboards, all the GT3 cars sound magnificent.
Still going to miss Sean Edwards though.
RIP to a legend
That shot towards the end when he's going down that long back straight in the rain at night is one of the most surreal things I've seen in any onboard.
Yeah lol, That was pretty nutty looking
10:35 I found the problem! There's no engine! :D
I love this comment :)
mekanik
This is the most compelling form of entertainment I've ever seen on CZcams. 154mph at night in the rain? Thank you, may I have another?
North loop at night in the rain. You gotta be shitting me!
+Miller Bread With lots of cars going at vastly different paces than you. Scary stuff.
I do like the helmet camera. It's not as steady but you get more of the driver experience.
it is
I love this video. The fact that you didn't just make it onboard footage of the opening lap is fantastic, there's already a million videos of a Porsche doing that. Instead we get lots of awesome footage of the behind-the-scenes shenanigans that happen on a race weekend, from the planned stuff to the definitely unplanned :)
This is the kind of content we come to Drive for!
I want to be a Racing Driver! NOW!
how does the north loop in pitch black with added rain. make you want to join????! thats the devils playground out there
@@michaelyacobucci5669 worth a try
@@michaelyacobucci5669 I like challenges
As a teen I would but I don't have the money
@@jxmint4458 that is a big thing. The main reason why I had to stop karting. I wasn't able to get a sponsor (neighbor worked at a local news station, tried to get them to sponsor me) but they don't just hand out sponsorship to anyone. The cost of parts, gas, tires, oil (I remember spending waaaay more on oil than I thought I would have to), and entry fees just broke the bank. My kart wasn't running at a pace as some of the other teams that would roll up in a painted cover trailer with a matching kart and uniforms to boot. My engine was old, my frame had taken a beating and I just had to call it quits when I realized I just couldn't pay for it.
It's one thing to drive a fast car like that Porche. But think of the nightmare of driving one of those slower small cars with all the fast cars blasting by you. In one sense you'd have to be a better driver, to make your car as fast at it will go and yet not get caught up in some fast guy's impatience and wreck.
+Thomas Nixon i think about this nonstop
Exactly! Those drivers have to watch the rear view as much as the front!
they have someone telling them that their coming so they can get off the racing line
I've come to expect nothing but great videos from Drive. And once again you guys deliver! Not only did you set the standard upon launching your channel, you keep raising the bar with with every video you upload.
I have great respect for all of you who work at Drive, both in front and behind the camera. I truly wish you all the best, anything else would be rude since you bring so much joy and awesomeness to my life.

The transition from dry to rain is so great at 15:24
Like many have said "Absolutely F'king Mental" and yet brilliant. At night, in the rain, pitch black on the Ring. Frightening... so can I give it a try then? ;-)

13 people don't like coffe with delicious biscuits!
Drive, thank you soooo much!!!
simply beautiful the way he controls the vehicle in those conditions at those speeds. My utter respect. Some amazing driving and talent. I could watch that for hours, and wish I could do something half as breathtaking as that.
As David Hobbs always says, "If there was going to be a problem on the car I wanted it to happen before dinner."
That shit looks absolutely terrifying. The Ring, at night, in a downpour. 23:15 - wow, that was close.
Around minute 23 of this video, Jesus took the wheel on more than one ocasion. I honestly thought this would end in a DNF. massive props to everyone involved!
I was going to watch How I met your mother, but then I stumbled upon this... Amazing work as usual!
