    Hi, thanks for the review. You did not adress the lining, which I think was polyester last time I wanted to order (2yr ago), is it still the case ?

    Looks great, especially for at home measurements. Almost has a sharkskin look to it (must be the silk). Nice review 👍🏻

    What collar did you choose on the Proper Cloth shirt that you're wearing in this video?

    I don't personally see any problems with it. Looks incredible and well you'd expect a well-fitted suit with those prices and not stupid mistakes.

    Suit look really nice on you. I would love you to do a video on less expensive suits between $300-$500 and maybe combine some of you previous videos as well

    How would you compare this to Oliver Wicks and Black Lapel in terms of quality?

    • @The_Kavalier
      @The_Kavalier  Před 6 lety +2

      Right now it's a tie between this and Oliver Wicks. Will know better once I get my second one at the end of the month. Have been underwhelmed with Black Lapel thus far.

    How does it compare to your Oliver Wicks suits? In terms of fit, quality and value.

    • @The_Kavalier
      @The_Kavalier  Před 6 lety +4

      I will have a better idea once I get my second one but even at OW most expensive they don't exceed $849. Fit has been on par with both, alterations credit is equal value will be tested when I get something closer to the OW price points from Lanieri. I think OW offerings that include English wools and styles is a nice feature of them.

    Jon can i give you a tip... always make a tie knot with a dimple...it makes a huge difference...try once you'll come to know... thanks..

    • @The_Kavalier
      @The_Kavalier  Před 6 lety +2

      Yes certainly. This tie is a little too skinny to get a good dimple. I need to get a few more 3" or more ties.

  • @british1389
    @british1389 Před 6 lety

    Thanks for the video! Lanieri does seem to fill a hole in the MTM world with Italian fabrics and Made in Italy construction. I played around with the customizations on the site, I saw some extra features not in other sites such as waist band contrast and constrasting piping and stitching. But it seems that pick-stitching option, slanted hip pockets, shoulder padding construction, and contrasting sleeve buttonhole options were missing. I wonder if those could be specially requested.

  • @deanchristensen4783
    @deanchristensen4783 Před 6 lety

    That is a beautiful suit, Jon. Would look awesome with Italian loafers, you know I would say something about your shoes.

    • @The_Kavalier
      @The_Kavalier  Před 6 lety

      What's wrong with my Spanish loafers? Thought of you when doing this try-on!

    • @deanchristensen4783
      @deanchristensen4783 Před 6 lety

      The Kavalier, the Spanish loafers are beautiful but thought of since it's a Italian style suit. Italian style loafers would complete the theme of the try on.

  • @PuentesRE
    @PuentesRE Před 6 lety

    The one thing I will say, is that I kinda wish that the little bits where you highlighted parts of the suit, were in one extended image. I mean, have you in the suit, front to back as appropriate, with your voice over, highlighting specific aspects of the fit. Otherwise, great vid. The only other person I watch for this kind of content, is Jim Chapman, one of the Brit vloggers who transitioned his own content as his career took off to high end fashion. As I"ve gone through your library, I really enjoy what I am learning and seeing.

  • @michaelherman7248
    @michaelherman7248 Před 5 lety +4

    Jacket is okay for home measurements but far from perfect. First, it's too short. You're a taller guy, you need a longer jacket. The sleeve pitch is also weird - the sleeves twist around your arms when they should fall cleanly. The trousers are comically slim. Your legs look like toothpicks. Trousers are not supposed to fit like jeans; they need a bit of room to drape. As a general rule, online MTM is a coin-toss - except the odds of achieving a decent result are stacked against you. You'd be better off buying RTW, to be honest.

    Suit Supply or This?

    • @The_Kavalier
      @The_Kavalier  Před 6 lety +2

      Right now the only way to get an MTM suit from SuitSupply is to go to their stores and do the process in person. Doing this at home is very easy and I like the selection of woollen mills. Suit Supply MTM suits start at $999 so some of the Lanieri suits will also beat it on price. As of now Lanieri wins. Working on MTM suit round-up 2018.

    • @The_Kavalier
      @The_Kavalier  Před 6 lety

      AND if you're comparing the off the rack fit of Suit Supply at a similar price point to the custom fit of this I would always take the custom even considering the way my OTR Suit Supply suit fit.
