It’s not gonna be over till 2025 bc Gamefreak LOVES to release a new gen every 3 years it’s so dumb I wish they’d wait and have gen 10 come out in 2026 on the 30th anniversary of the series.
It is not one of the best generations but it brought back something missing about the games and that was the mystery. The whole region is about exploration and while the game can't handle that, the idea is there: you start going around to Paldea meeting everyone and discovering but something feels uneasy about the region and not even the people that have lived there can tell you what it is. They talk about a mystery that has not been solved since ancient times and even after beating the game you still have more questions that answers.
I'm excited to see the legendary pokemon as static encounters all around Paldea, hope they're not Shiny Locked and you can finally get Shiny Sword & Shield Legendaries.
Remember that the Sword & Shield legendaries were given via an event. I know you probably remember, but just in case for your analysis. Edit: Whoops, forgot he likes to be the OT and that the DLC Pokémon are potentially shiny huntable.

The legendary Pokemon showing up in Blueberry Academy is so funny. Imagine you're just minding your day and all of a sudden Groudon and Kyogre show up and start fighting.
Basing off past games like USUM, SWSH and BDSP, I bet Groudon/Kyogre will be version exclusives again and so they won't exactly be fighting with each other
Man im so hyped for indigo disc. I now realize teal mask was but a prologue, a setup to drive the story towards a massive climax. Just the fact that the league members alone have level 88+ competitive pokemon shows for a very promising and intense final chapter for scarlet and violet with some crazy battles.
I’m so excited for the Indigo Disk; it looks like it’s going to be great. I do hope Nemona, Arven, and Penny have bigger roles in the story, though. I missed them during Teal Mask.
They weren’t in the Teal Mask since that was available at the beginning of the game, before you really built up a relationship between those characters.
obviously they're going to be able to visit but it seems like it would be really painful for nemona to let you go without enrolling herself, both for social and battling reasons
Yes!!! Blastoise’ 3D model is finally fixed. I’ve been wanting this for over 10 years. His face is sculpted proper, his cannons are the correct size, and his shell (white trim) is now sculpted properly! Ho-Oh’s new model also looks nice!
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one freaking out about the improvement to Blastoise!! It's my all time favorite, they even gave him that bubbly, curled up snout like the og model in RBY rather than the sharper, triangular build. I'm so happy 😭

He isn't a villain just because he worked hard to become the best trainer, if you're judging by looks other characters look similar like the new elite 4, there's no reason to believe he became a villain other than being thirsty for a villain, no one in this game has been a villain, also, all crystals are actually broken if you look closely, offscreen-cut or not.
@@wilfur3077 If Briar really is a villain, I can actually imagine Geeta (in 2:54) taking matters into her own hands and confronting her alongside the player character, very much like how previous champions like Lance, Cynthia, Leon and Alder did before her. It would be even cooler if Alder and/or Iris joined up with Geeta and helped her confront Briar, since the Blueberry Academy is on their home turf, Unova.

The Teal Mask was basically a bread and butter content DLC. Map expansion, new Pokémon, new items, returning things, small story expansion. Exactly what you would expect, which is why it was a solid DLC. Did absolutely nothing groundbreaking, but also nothing objectively worse than the main game
Let’s not forget that part 2 of this DLC is meant to replace a yearly Pokémon release around the holidays. They meant to put most of their efforts into Indigo Disk, just as they did with Crown Tundra.
Funny how this DLC is released on the last day of the semester for my IRL school. Just gotta get through one more week of IRL research and a round of physical therapy, then it's off to the Blueberry Academy for me! So hyped for the Indigo Disk!

This DLC is jam packed with variety. Wow this is actually amazing. And.. We'll get development on Carmine and Kieran's story as well. Kieran looks like he started his edgy loner phase.

Man this trailer along with the music kinda gives me the vibe that this dlc is a sort of final hoo-rah for pokemom scarlet and violet since this will most likelt be the last time these games will be worked on. Kinda bittersweet considering that i love this game despite all the glitches and negative aspects about it. Lets hope we this dlc has us go out with a bang
I’m really excited to see that the returning legendaries seem to get interesting encounter methods and locations, rather than the “go do x for all of them” that was in USUM and SWSH
I mean, we don't know yet, ever since they added Legendaries to catch back in ORAS is the same, "go to x place and there's a Hoopa Ring, go to x place in Ultra Wormhole Ride, Go to the Tera Raid path, etc. Never tied to a side quest or similar
I think that's maybe just for Pokemon races in this dlc but also could be acting as a test for say the next region or even a big new mystery dungeon game?
I know i should care about how the games run but Scarlet and Violet are still fun to play and to see many familiar pokémon. I'm looking forward to this and it'll help me get through to Christmas.
While I agree that Scarlet and Violet should have been delayed to work out the bugs, there are other games full of bugs out there that no one seems to be taking about. (Harvest Moon More Friends of Mineral Town and Harvest Moon DS are two such games...)
Feel free to crucify me for this, but I honestly don’t think Scarlet and Violet’s bugs are that bad. The games certainly aren’t perfect, but everyone makes them out to be practically unplayable even though all they have is a few little glitches that I honestly barely notice unless I’m looking for them.
I've bought games for a fraction of the price made by individuals or small indie companies that do not have anywhere near the same level of performance issues. For a multi-billion coin company there are no excuses.@@tsifirakiehl4250
@@tsifirakiehl4250 I haven't encountered and "game breaking" glitches, though I did have a few pokemon that mysteriously vanished, one being a possible shiny... (it was a Happiny running away while I was running around looking for a shiny Fidough)
I did something similar in the first half of the DLC where I shiny hunted my whole team and could only use them for the story and they had to be DLC exclusive and no overleveling. My team wound up being: Weezing, Leavanny, Poochyena, Furret, Mamoswine, Mienshao.
I am way too excited for this! Chilling with gym leaders, catching legendaries, starters, FLYING AROUND?? Let's just hope the performances doesn't get worse, lol.
This has been the first generation I really got into and completed the story of. Though I sorta tore through it trying to get to mewtwo as fast as possible. I even trained a mew in addition to my skeldredge together all the way to ai turo. Getting them virtually to level 100 legitimately. Thanks for making this one pretty accessible out of the gate.

Yeah, doubt we’ll ever see Elesa and Iono together unless it’s Pokémon Masters. The Paldea Sync Pairs are slowly but surely becoming available. I’d love to see Raihan and Iono interact more than Elesa.
Dude Elesa would probably find Iono hilarious. Elesa looks serious but like 10 seconds of talking to her is more than enough to realize she’s a total dork who loves puns and goofy jokes. She and Iono would 100% vibe out and collab.
Honestly so hyped for this! From what I hear this one is focused much more around competitive battles which made me fall in love with Pokémon all over again after years away. Can’t wait to see what it entails!
One thing I seriously hope about the legendaries is that they can be hunted cause that would be amazing! ❤️ And oh man, Keiran looks like he's changed quite a lot. I guess we'll have to see if there's a way to save him. But it looks like he's gone villain mode. Or maybs just angsty rival mode. Still, it's gonna be exciting to get to see all the gym leaders again, and how the story is going to play out. I mean, getting all these new mystery gifts has been a pleasent surprise too. Never even expected them to pull off a Dialga and Palkia Tera raid. Much less give out a Darkrai, even though you can get one in Legends Arceus, or BDSP if you managed to the Member's Card last year. Still, all these new things are amazing. 💜
Well even if you don't care about saving him, that's your own way of going about it and that's fine. But I'm hoping to help him because I do care about him. And while we all have our own Canon things, I think the story is bound to change, so I think whatever happens from here on out, whether he does redeem himself or not is gonna be something we'll have to see. Yeah figures that would be the case, and it is disappointing that they shiny locked 🔒 the legendaries able to be shiny hunted but.. Well, at least on the bright side, we still have a chance to get most of the legendaries in dynamax adventures in sword and shield and in Ramanas park in bdsp too. But seriously, game freak love taking the fun out of pokemon. They just love kicking us down about getting to shiny hunt the legendaries cause they don't have anything better to do. But I ain't too fussed, I'm just glad we got other games we can shiny hunt em in. After all, it gives us a chance to _shine_ 😂

The only thought I had was "I hope some cool new Pokemon are released which would come to Pokemon Unite". For me the main series died after gen 3 but Pokemon Unite still keeps me playing official Pokemon games.

The beggining is the definition of peak area zero theme usage. The lore is what i'm most excited about(besides the legendaries and a new chance to humiliate kieran)
I’m so excited to go deeper into area zero like the crystal tree and hallways look really cool. Wonder if there will be hints to a civilization down there. The music that accompanies the trailer fits so well and adds a level of excitement.

I envision it where he sees his parent smile at him, then do the farewell gesture before vanishing. And he gets up and you see him from behind and it looks like he's sobbing, and maybe he is, but when he turns around he's smiling gratefully.

Teal mask was basically there to set up kieran's character and add some more lore to tera crystals. Indigo disk is the real meat of the dlc

Facts. Teal mask was alright but after the main story I’ve been waiting to go back into Area 0
The Teal Mask was basically a bread and butter content DLC. Map expansion, new Pokémon, new items, returning things, small story expansion. Exactly what you would expect, which is why it was a solid DLC. Did absolutely nothing groundbreaking, but also nothing objectively worse than the main game
Let’s not forget that part 2 of this DLC is meant to replace a yearly Pokémon release around the holidays. They meant to put most of their efforts into Indigo Disk, just as they did with Crown Tundra.
I see why this game sold so well now, can't wait for the series to get worse

Man this trailer along with the music kinda gives me the vibe that this dlc is a sort of final hoo-rah for pokemom scarlet and violet since this will most likelt be the last time these games will be worked on. Kinda bittersweet considering that i love this game despite all the glitches and negative aspects about it. Lets hope we this dlc has us go out with a bang
I’m really excited to see that the returning legendaries seem to get interesting encounter methods and locations, rather than the “go do x for all of them” that was in USUM and SWSH
I mean, we don't know yet, ever since they added Legendaries to catch back in ORAS is the same, "go to x place and there's a Hoopa Ring, go to x place in Ultra Wormhole Ride, Go to the Tera Raid path, etc. Never tied to a side quest or similar
These creation deities and otherwise vicious wild beasts are here because they want your snacks, and that to me is the charm
'Talk to a guy then go to X location'. It's literally no different.
USUM was fine because there was a fun mini game. I still haven't caught all the legends in SwSh because it's waiting simulator

I think that's maybe just for Pokemon races in this dlc but also could be acting as a test for say the next region or even a big new mystery dungeon game?

I know i should care about how the games run but Scarlet and Violet are still fun to play and to see many familiar pokémon. I'm looking forward to this and it'll help me get through to Christmas.
While I agree that Scarlet and Violet should have been delayed to work out the bugs, there are other games full of bugs out there that no one seems to be taking about. (Harvest Moon More Friends of Mineral Town and Harvest Moon DS are two such games...)

Feel free to crucify me for this, but I honestly don’t think Scarlet and Violet’s bugs are that bad. The games certainly aren’t perfect, but everyone makes them out to be practically unplayable even though all they have is a few little glitches that I honestly barely notice unless I’m looking for them.
I've bought games for a fraction of the price made by individuals or small indie companies that do not have anywhere near the same level of performance issues. For a multi-billion coin company there are no excuses.@@tsifirakiehl4250
@@tsifirakiehl4250 I haven't encountered and "game breaking" glitches, though I did have a few pokemon that mysteriously vanished, one being a possible shiny... (it was a Happiny running away while I was running around looking for a shiny Fidough)

I did something similar in the first half of the DLC where I shiny hunted my whole team and could only use them for the story and they had to be DLC exclusive and no overleveling. My team wound up being: Weezing, Leavanny, Poochyena, Furret, Mamoswine, Mienshao.
So stoked!!! Can't wait to face Kieran again, and see if he did indeed get stronger 💪

This has been the first generation I really got into and completed the story of. Though I sorta tore through it trying to get to mewtwo as fast as possible. I even trained a mew in addition to my skeldredge together all the way to ai turo. Getting them virtually to level 100 legitimately. Thanks for making this one pretty accessible out of the gate.
The music during this trailer was amazing and the all the content and Pokemon shown was next level exciting.

Honestly so hyped for this! From what I hear this one is focused much more around competitive battles which made me fall in love with Pokémon all over again after years away. Can’t wait to see what it entails!

Still, it's gonna be exciting to get to see all the gym leaders again, and how the story is going to play out. I mean, getting all these new mystery gifts has been a pleasent surprise too. Never even expected them to pull off a Dialga and Palkia Tera raid. Much less give out a Darkrai, even though you can get one in Legends Arceus, or BDSP if you managed to the Member's Card last year.
Still, all these new things are amazing. 💜
Well even if you don't care about saving him, that's your own way of going about it and that's fine.
But I'm hoping to help him because I do care about him.
And while we all have our own Canon things, I think the story is bound to change, so I think whatever happens from here on out, whether he does redeem himself or not is gonna be something we'll have to see.

Yeah figures that would be the case, and it is disappointing that they shiny locked 🔒 the legendaries able to be shiny hunted but.. Well, at least on the bright side, we still have a chance to get most of the legendaries in dynamax adventures in sword and shield and in Ramanas park in bdsp too.
But seriously, game freak love taking the fun out of pokemon. They just love kicking us down about getting to shiny hunt the legendaries cause they don't have anything better to do.
But I ain't too fussed, I'm just glad we got other games we can shiny hunt em in. After all, it gives us a chance to _shine_ 😂

I'm Japanese, so I really liked Area Zero Part 1's fields, old folk houses, and festival culture, but I'm curious to know what other players thought.
I love the small town vibes and the festival is very similar to harvest fests here in California
The only thought I had was "I hope some cool new Pokemon are released which would come to Pokemon Unite". For me the main series died after gen 3 but Pokemon Unite still keeps me playing official Pokemon games.

I’m so excited to go deeper into area zero like the crystal tree and hallways look really cool. Wonder if there will be hints to a civilization down there. The music that accompanies the trailer fits so well and adds a level of excitement.

I envision it where he sees his parent smile at him, then do the farewell gesture before vanishing. And he gets up and you see him from behind and it looks like he's sobbing, and maybe he is, but when he turns around he's smiling gratefully.
