Do you ever wish that you sounded more fluent when speaking French? Even my students who have been learning French for decades sometimes struggle with speaking French the way native speakers do.
A lot of this comes down to the fact that spoken French has very different (unwritten) rules that are completely different from the formal written French you may have learned in high school. The good news is, once you learn some of those rules, you can immediately improve your spoken French fluency.
In this lesson, I’ll introduce you to one of those rules. You’ll also be able to get some practice in, so you can work towards memorizing this tip and using it in your everyday conversations.

Merci Géraldine. Je suis américain, et j’hésite un peux d’omettre le “ne”, parce que c’est le contraire de tout ce que j’ai appris à l’école, et je veux parler français d’une manière correcte. Néanmoins, je veux parler d’une manière naturelle comme le font les Français. J’irai en vacances à Paris pendant une semaine en juillet, et j’essaierai d’omettre le “ne”, pour parler d’une façon similaire aux Français dans la conversation quotidienne. Merci encore. Yes, you can also drop the NE when using "ne... que". For example:
