      Hai , I'm 28th week preganant, my placenta position was low lying , that is placenta was posterior, and is 15mm distance from OS , (no bleed)and doctor suggested me that placenta was low lying and suggested me bed rest ... And I felt very horney ... Is it ok to for sexual stimulation and orgasm or cuddling with my hubby instead of having sexual penetration.. Is it ok for orgasm!!

    • @TheMaternityMentor
      @TheMaternityMentor  Před 3 lety +6

      @@priyap.1621 Thanks for the question! Unfortunately, orgasm can cause bleeding because it causes uterine contractions. If your doctor has recommended bed rest with no sexual intercourse, they probably also don't want you to have an orgasm. However, always ask your provider to be sure. They may approve for sexual stimulation as long as there is no penetration. Remember penetration includes penis, fingers and toys! Cuddling is definitely okay. Finally, stimulation of the breasts including touching and suckling can cause uterine contractions. So if your provider says no orgasm, you should avoid this as well.

      Hi my period is 20 days late I took a pregnancy test about two weeks ago which came out negative, i had light pinkish see through spotting during that time but twice only and now me and my husband had sex but oral sex after I had an orgasm I started bleeding light red blood but little, what could it be?

      Hi, I hope you see this. I am classified as high risk because I have had two mcc due to pcos and now I’m pregnant again. I have totally stopped having sex with my husband but I still orgasm during my sleep which I hate but I don’t think there is a way to stop that. What can I do please, I don’t want to loose this pregnancy again due to wet dreams orgasm. Please help

    • @TheMaternityMentor
      @TheMaternityMentor  Před 3 lety

      @@rashidatolajumoke8583 Thanks for asking. Unfortunately, there is no way to stop this from happening. Our dreams are a complex form of our brain processing a large amount of information. That information includes feelings. Sometimes orgasm is our body's way of releasing stress so you can try some stress relieving activities like meditation, massage, or yoga to see if that helps reduce the frequency. I'm sorry I couldn't give you a better suggestion.

    • @TheMaternityMentor
      @TheMaternityMentor  Před rokem +2

      Thanks for asking! Everyone is different but many women do lose their sex drive. This is because the hormones that sustain your pregnancy and allow for the production of breast milk reduce libido. Additionally, if you are feeling depressed, anxious, or are experiencing insomnia, that will make it worse. Feel better!

    • @TheMaternityMentor
      @TheMaternityMentor  Před 2 lety +3

      Thanks for asking! I would definitely contact your healthcare provider and have this checked out. Light bleeding and cramping can occur after sex however, you don't ever want to ignore it. Orgasms can lead to the release of oxytocin and oxytocin causes contractions that can feel like cramps. This is ok as long as there are no other symptoms of preterm labor. Bleeding can occur after sex because the vaginal tissues are thinner due to pregnancy hormones. No matter what though - you always want to keep your provider in the loop. I am sending you love and light and healing thoughts.

I put a panty liner on straight away. When I woke up the following morning there was no blood on my liner. When I wipe there is very tiny brown spotting. I don’t have any cramps or anything. Thanks for asking. You should always let your healthcare provider know what is going on so they can assess you. It's possible it’s just slight vaginal tearing that caused the drops. Specifically, check your thyroid, your hormones and check for anemia. All of these can impact libido (another word for sex drive). It is also important to start asking for and receiving help. Low sex drive is often associated with feeling overwhelmed. I hope you feel better. I am sending you love and light and healing thoughts.

    • @TheMaternityMentor
      @TheMaternityMentor  Před 2 lety +3

      Thanks for asking! It is actually very common and very normal for you to orgasm easier during the first trimester. All of the pregnancy hormones can rev up your sex drive. Contractions work the uterus which is a muscle, kinda of like exercise. Plus the uterus is getting bigger and heavier every day due to the pregnancy which makes it "a little out of shape". After you uterus is probably sore from that. It is good that you are relaxing. The concern I would have is if the pain is coming and going with the contractions. That is something we don't like to hear as much. I would recommend you check in with your provider and have them check you out. Just to be safe. Again, it's probably just the uterus tired from the wonderful time you had. If you can, please like my video and subscribe to my channel. It really helps me out! Thanks!

      Thanks for asking! Sex is usually safe during pregnancy. You need to let your healthcare provider know in case they want to assess you. You may have been experiencing some contractions due to oxytocin release that happens during sex, especially during orgasm. Your healthcare provider will let you know if you shouldn't be having sex. I am sending you love and light and healing thoughts.

It is best to try and work together to come up with a plan that meets both of your needs. Is sex is safe for me ? Please answer

    • @TheMaternityMentor
      @TheMaternityMentor  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the question. This is a challenging question. I always defer to healthcare providers so if your healthcare provider says sex is safe, it should be safe for you. Placentas can move up or down as the uterus expands. So what often starts as a low-lying placenta can turn into a mid-lying placenta. If your provider has not prohibited sex, you can continue to enjoy it. If you are anxious, foreplay and oral sex can be safer options that allow for intimacy and closeness.

    • @TheMaternityMentor
      @TheMaternityMentor  Před 2 lety +3

      Thanks for asking! It is normal to have less desire due to the hormonal changes that happen during pregnancy. The hormones needed to sustain pregnancy decrease desire. Some women regain desire in the second trimester and some don't until after they give birth. I encourage you to set a date with your partner to have sex. Do lots of fun things that night and make sure there is plenty of foreplay. These things may help you get in the mood. Good luck!

    I'm 14 weeks last week I had a ultrasound at 13 weeks the ultrasound tech mentioned my placenta was 2cm away from my cervix I don't get to see my Dr till end of month my question is is it safe to orgasm if placenta is only 2cm away from cervix

    • @TheMaternityMentor
      @TheMaternityMentor  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for asking. Unless your doctor told you otherwise, yes it is safe to have an orgasm. Now, your placenta can move as your pregnancy progresses. It is most likely to move away from the cervix but it can move towards it. If you have an orgasm, it does cause uterine contractions and this may cause spotting if the placenta moves slightly down. However, this is extremely rare. Good luck!

    • @TheMaternityMentor
      @TheMaternityMentor  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for asking! Don't panic but do call your healthcare provider. You need to let them knpow you are bleeding so they can check you out and make sure the baby is ok. Bleeding after sex is common. If your healthcare provider is ok with you having sex, try changing positions which may make the risk of bleeding less. Also, be sure to use plenty of lubricant because vaginal tissues get drier and thinner during pregnancy. I am sending you love and light and healing thoughts.
