    Good review, I have the Ferrari bundle with included mounting etc.. And yes, the SF1000 is a gorgeous wheel. I agree with the underselling of 10nm. It definaitely feels slightly more, based on my previous bases.
    Yes there isn't a lot of adjustment in the configuring, but really I haven't needed more sliders. It, in my opinion, is a fantastic first release into the DD market, and with my previous wheels that I had for my TS-PC Racer, will save me some money. I purchased additional adaptors direct from TM, as I intend to fit each wheel with it's own adaptor.
    To any looking to get into the DD sim market, this will be a very good choice. Considerably better in feel, again in my eyes, than Logitech's DD Pro. Using my T-LCM pedals from my previous TM setup compliment the base nicely.

    Hi noobifier, could you let me know what the heaviest tv/monitor you have used on the mts internal tv/monitor stand. I can only find size upto 55” but not max weight. Or though the monitor i want is 57” Samsung curved,it is lighter than some 55” at 15.4kg.

      @NOOBIFIER1337  Před 6 měsíci +1

      I mean, it’s profile so it’s probably good for a LOT. The lighter the better, right? But I can say it would hold a huge plasma from 2012 no problem.

    I've had it 4 days, used it for 2 days maybe 10 hours, frikking awesome until, after 2 days broken, grinding and nasty, maybe 10 hours max use use! TM contacted waiting on response, i'll update when i get a rsponse for £600+ I really and fairly expected more than 2 days use. Gotta wait for a responce but it was great for 2 days, iRacing MX5.

    Hi Noob. I just got the Ferrari bundle and am still getting to grips with the settings etc.
    I did notice there was something mentioned about using a button combo to telp the unit that you are using the lcm pedal set. Did you do this? It didnt seem to work when I tried last night but Im probably doing something wrong. Lol

      @@NOOBIFIER1337 yeah I installed everything and updated the firmware. I connected the pedals directly using the rj plug. On the website though there is an instruction which says to hold the left paddle and one of the buttons on the base to switch between the t3pa and the lcm pedal set amd the led will flash to confirm but nothing happened for me. I may end up connecting them to the pc directly using the usb

    • @NOOBIFIER1337
      @NOOBIFIER1337  Před 7 měsíci +1

      The wheel has a mini stick and the normal X axis. This is three basic but controlling pitch and yaw with a thumb… IMO, you might as well get a good game controller.

    • @TheNefariousFox
      @TheNefariousFox Před 7 měsíci

      Just buy an actual flight yoke...
      A racing wheel does not offer the push/pull functionality for 2 axis control.
      This really shouldn't have needed to be said. Since you know what a flight yoke is...

    Great review! I have been a Thrustmaster user for a very long time, having bought many of their add-on wheels (I own the 599XX and the the open wheel and I've owned the first F1 Ferrari). As I was ready to upgrade my T300RS, I was shocked to find that I can't order the base alone in Canada! Although the SF1000 appears to be a great wheel, I am a GT driver (F1's are darn too fast for me!) and I have no need for it. On another note, I have got the new Ferrari 488 GT3 wheel (would to hear your thought on it if you get a chance to try it out.) and I must say that is a gorgeous wheel and I can foresee it installed permanently on my base. So, I believe that TM is shooting themselves in the foot by only having the T818 bundle available in Canada. I would have loved one but, I got a T-GT II instead, and a used one until the T818 is available in Canada sometimes!

    • @NOOBIFIER1337
      @NOOBIFIER1337  Před 7 měsíci

      If you don’t get the bundle, you will not have the HUB and none of your other wheels will be compatible with the T818. It’s a massive issue

  • @budthecyborg4575
    @budthecyborg4575 Před 7 měsíci +1

    Could it be that the Ferrari F1 wheel is a smaller diameter than the wheels you usually use? That would account for the perceived increase in force over the stated rating.

    • @NOOBIFIER1337
      @NOOBIFIER1337  Před 7 měsíci +1

      It is not this, and the round wheel tested is larger, like 325 so the theory is out.

    • @budthecyborg4575
      @budthecyborg4575 Před 7 měsíci

      @@NOOBIFIER1337 Perceptions is everything.
      Your impression of the larger round wheel was overall negative so I'm going to discount what you think you felt using that wheel when the smaller wheel was your positive experience, and the SF1000 is smaller than average at 270mm wide, vs. the Moza KS at 300mm making a 10% difference.
      10% isn't nothing but it isn't a lot either, I'd give it a 50/50 chance that there is any measurable bonus torque on the T181.

    • @antmax
      @antmax Před 7 měsíci +1

      The specs for the wheelbase are not peak force like most on the market, its listed as constant 10Nm which can be sustained for some duration. So it probably does peak around 12 -14 Nm.

      The Thrust master wheel included is superb. The Logitech wheel that is included is also superb. It depends on which type of driving you plan to do the most. Logitech DD still has no extra wheels.

    • @TheNefariousFox
      @TheNefariousFox Před 7 měsíci +1

      For the money, go with a Moza setup. For a grand, I think you might even be able to pick up an R12 and wheel. (And you would have your choice of wheels at that price)
      Fanatec is in the range for 1k.
      Heck, many of the DD companies offer in that price range...
      Buying from the late adopters (big corpo's) who aren't known for high end might not be the way to go.
      Logi has a HUGE reputation for durability on non DD wheels, but that doesn't mean it will also translate to the new gen. (My really old g27 still runs like it did when I got it a LONG time ago) *The ffb still sucks though.
      Thrustmaster has a HUGE reputation for poor build quality and low durability. Again, only time will tell.
      If you're going to spend that much, buy from an older and well tested DD wheel company. That way you know how it holds up.

      @@TheNefariousFox Thanks for your intelligent reply. I think off the bat with no personal experience in wheels, you're right. I know it sounds crazy but I really don't like wireless wheel set up. I also want really easy to switch settings to maybe share the wheel with a kid, so I can swap from 2 n to 11n depending who is playing. I plan on getting a wheel this black friday season if something pans out. if logitech will stand 5 years with there product and I can walk out the door with pedals and mounts from logitech $900 i might. If moza r5 bundle had like $300 (everything, so maybe advertized at $250-275) but I am also willing to get a thrusmaster tm330 if new around $125 dollars ( just the wheel. I can't imagine who going but tm330 nowawdays lol, then get off market converstion and little larger wheel, I know larger wheel makes motor feel weaker.) I wish noobifier or someone would do a black friday watch for driving wheels! you going to be buying this year? what do you think of the new bois cammi?

      I tried to move away from my CSL DD at one point and decided to shill out the cost for a Logitech DD, and I honestly just didn't like it at all. That wasn't to say it wasn't a high quality piece of gear, but I didn't gel with it's FFB and lack of customization, I ultimately felt the lack of other wheels locked me out of some extra immersion, it was too big and difficult to mount to my custom rig, the wheel felt super slippery even with racing gloves, and the pedals for the price are really lame. I went back to my CSL DD and I think it still performs really well for a lot less money. 8nm sounds small comparatively speaking but it's still plenty of power, I have my FFB dialed in and it's hard to imagine needing more power. They also offer some quality wheels in the CSL range and the pedals are also really good for the money.

    • @BlakedaBull
      @BlakedaBull Před 7 měsíci

      @@user-tg5su9bf2f robot? or do you get paid? you're right that 8nm is enough power for starting simmer, but why would not go moza for the build quality since price is so close? 10Nm is the constant force, not the peak like others advertise.
    For reference the DD Pro 5Nm has a constant force of 2Nm and a peak of 5Nm. Therefore this TM wheel has 5x the constant power of the DD Pro 5Nm.
    Can’t wait for TM to bring out a lower powered DD for console. I can’t be dealing with Fanatec’s terrible customer service, ripoff wheel prices and design faults.
