- Join Kurtis Shipp with Koenig Equipment as he explains the basics of IVT transmission operation on the 4600 Display in a new John Deere 8R Tractor.
The run page has been configured, where the F1 and F2 set speeds can be seen. He first discusses the FULL AUTO transmission mode and what features are affected by that.

This video is from 8 years ago, but i will be getting my first ivt and this vido sure will help. Thank you.
Thanks for the positive feedback! We're happy to hear it's still helpful.
@@KoenigEquipment I am actually going through your playlist now for this monitor. Seems to be helping.
The clutch is needed for shifting from f1 to f2?
No
What is the recommended way to slow down? pull orange nob back or throttle all the way back then pull nob back?
Hi Adam. Either option will work. If you happen to be in a low load application in which you don't need many RPMs, such as road transport, we usually prefer to use the throttle to slow down and come to a stop since that gives a smoother response.
@@KoenigEquipment is it possible to drive the tractor with full speed just with the little stick full speed means 36mph?
@@davidkarnics2841 Hi, David! If the throttle is full forward, you can drive with the stick and go full speed.
@@KoenigEquipment thank you very much!!! Greetings from Austria
Drive it like you would drive a pickup with automatic transmission; throttle and brakes 😉 Most of the settings he was demonstrating were "field cruise" type functions; useful for extended duty field operations 🤷🏻♂️ 🙋🏻♂️
