Anschutz 1913BR RWS R50, R50 Matchless Precision, Rifle Match Group Comparisons.
Practicing for a local target match in 2 weeks. Three lots of RWS. Two labeled R50 and one labeled Rifle Match. The 1913 seems to like them all fairly well. But especially the Rifle Match (with the exception of the unwelcome flyer!). Wished there was a way to identify those rounds ahead of chambering ;).
I would assume the R50 and R50 Matchless Precision are exactly the same(?), just different packaging past few years (?).
I am not into active competition per se. But my local club participates in a few events throughout the year. So, when on the range...........The Anschutz is a formidable .22LR competitor. I will keep this one.

Nice shooting, however you may improve by placing your ammo on the right hand side of your rifle and load without moving your face from the stock,also reduces the ackward movement reaching over the rifle.

I don't know how you would improve much on that shooting I'll take that any time. You are a solid man behind this rifle don't let anyone kid you . Not a whole lot of us can do that ha ha .

RWS has already graded the R50 and placed it in different boxes according to their test results after a production run.Why are you re testing it?

Wanted to determine if the tempered barrel harmonic characteristics of a benchrest style Anschutz would or could compensate for the lesser grade Rifle Match as compared to R50 in terms of down range performance. Also, to determine if the R50 labeled 'Matchless Precision' performed differently than the not Matchless Precision R50. Or is the label just marketing of the same thing?
More so, it gave me a reason to be out on the range 😉
