That one tower was like..."If we're going down, you're going down with us!!"
I thought of it as "We can't go down and leave Number 5 behind, so I'm going to bring him with us!"
It’s in Ohio💀

The speed boat putting out the flames on the first pass was legendary
hell yeah that clip was awesome 💯
That was my favorite clip. Absolutely AWESOME!
Agreed :D
yeah man, gives me cheers for humanity.
Yeah, that was something else watching him putting out that fire.
When the narrator said he would save the day, I thought he'd come with a fire extinguisher, and never did I think of drowning out the fire with the water from the speedboat. 👍
The speed boat putting out the boat that was on fire was the very best clip. Absolutely amazing!!

That pool water getting transitioned over by the dirty water was oddly satisfying to watch

That was heart pounding to watch all those close calls. That speedboat splashing big waves of water to put out the fire on another boat was awesome.

The transitions were so clean, like saying something about one scene and it one sentence connecting it to the next scenario, just like a good written essay
Absolutely! I was watching some thing similar and the editing was horrible plus it was a canned voice. I didn't finish 10%. This was short but not too short. Clean & interesting.
It's a little too dramatic for my taste, but yea gotta give credit for the creativity!
The Sydney Harbour Bridge was in no danger. The harbour authorities are well aware of ships' heights, as well as the height of the tides before any permission is given for a ship to pass under the Bridge.
Why were you there
Hu
Then how or why did ship go that way or almost hit the bridge
Do you know when that happened? And which ship? I mean the name of the ship.

That's next-level brains from that speed boat driver. WOW!
Yeah, that was a man who's a quick thinker and isn't afraid to get in and do the right thing when he has the chance to do it. He did an excellent job of using his jet boat to put that fire out!
@@jb6712 That was such an impressive scene.
The speed boat putting out the fire in the last clip was my favorite. How ingenious to come up with that idea and great execution.
And to do it on the fly, so to speak. Quick and brilliant thinking on the boater's part.
That burning boat was absolutely toast before the first splash. May have saved a brush fire, but the only thing of value would be the propeller, the anchor and the connecting rods...
That iceberg tipping was horrifying...those dudes got lucky
I notice the boat backed off a long way, someone could see what was obviously going to happen there.

The car hauler got stuck because he didn’t go to a level crossing. The crossing he used had been raised because the road was lower than the tracks. When he tried to cross, he high centered his rig and it made it impossible to move either forwards or backwards.
I was looking at that road and wondering why they don't raise the roadway more smoothly up to it and away from it. Low-loaders must always have problems like this, can't expect them all to detour and find another way past.

I really enjoyed all your segues from clip to clip. Made the vid flow so cleanly that it didn't even seem like 13 minutes

I was on that the train! lol you can see the van fly and hit the side of it and when it did it busted a window and knock a guy out that was two seats in front on me it was a bad evening 🤦♂️
You apparently didn't see the one where the cops cuffed a woman and put her in their cart on the tracks and then ran around in useless circles while the train was blaring it's horn as it was coming and smashed right into the car.
@@SilverStarHeggisistdid she die? 😮
Don't think she did, if memory serves me right, (but the cops got a parking ticket😉)
I worked as a crane tech for years and a load test is done every four years on any crane over a five ton load limit. The test is done with a known weight if 125% of the working load limit picked up and has to hold that load with no creep for one minute. We had the contract that inspected the gantry crane that lifted the space shuttle to load it onto the 747 if it were to land at Edwards in Ca. It always had to be ready. We also did SeaLaunch in Long Beach before it went to Russia permanently. It loaded rockets for space onto a converted oil rig.

The person piloting that speedboat and masterfully using it to extinguish that fire; wow that takes some skill!👈👈👈👈👈👈👈
heck yeah that was awesome 💯
I got the great joy and privilege of riding in a jet boat some years ago, and in capable hands, they're a wonderful way to enjoy the water. The operator of that particular one in the video was a quick thinking person who had a level head on his shoulders, as well as being a skillful pilot-operator.
By the accent it is Southern New Zealand, lots of nice lakes there and the terrain looks like it as well.
I was on that cruise ship as a crew member. We had about 6 feet clearance. They posted security up near the funnel, in case anyone decided to jump from the bridge to the ship.
That is very little margin of error. Was that routinely done when the tide was right, or was that a "one of" type of situation? And… why???
@@brucefreadrich1188 it’s pretty routine. I remember several ports where we had to leave by a specific time to be able to fit under bridges.
The hugh building rolling over totally intact was mesmerizing.
it raised my anxiety I thought it was hitting the building next to it for sure
it would have survived that massive earthquake they had, while much newer buildings collapsed as if build with sand, well not really as if.
That happened quite a few years ago, actually. There's a clip out there somewhere that shows just how close the fallen building rolled before stopping only a few yards from the apartment building seen in this video clip.
I was thinking that those old black and white Godzilla movies got Godzilla destroying buildings closer than I always thought.
Whoever built it made it to last unlike structures today. They need to take a page out of the builders book. I'd want that person to build my house lol
3:00 Give infinity pool a whole new meaning
😂😂
The iceberg climb really got me tensed up, because the water can suck them under right?
The cruise ship "almost hitting the bridge" was an optical illusion. I was in the Navy stationed in Charleston, SC. We used to have to pass under the Cooper River Bridge on our way out to sea. We would tell the new guys to go up on the signal bridge and crank down the mast so we wouldn't hit the bridge. Standing on the deck of the ship, it honestly looked like we would hit it but the fact was, there was more than enough room to clear it. (There was no way to "crank down the mast")
The video should be titled "Idiots who film in portrait mode"
speed boat dude was badass!!!
As an Australian, I was so pained that you said “some bridge in Australia” like bro it’s the Sydney Harbour Bridge
BTW I meant in the intro
"some bridge in Australia" lmao😂
that really is "SOME BRIDGE" lol.
Eh? He clearly calls it the Harbour Bridge in Sydney.
The cruise ship knew just how much room they had to pass below the bridge.
My friend was an officer in the merchant marines and has been on ships that passed within feet of the bottoms of bridges. All of the passages were planned well in advance taking tides and weather into a.
I've actually been on one of the same cruise liners that go under the harbour bridge and it really is an awe-inspiring moment. It is a really small gap considering both sizes and like you said we were only able to go under the bridge when the tide is low
@@macapaca6174also on most cruise ships that mast on top can be lowered to a fully horizontal position giving more clearance if needed.
But will they account for the sea level though?
The secret to getting ships like this under low bridges is to go faster. Even if the static height indicates a ship can't pass a moving one can.
@@saranrajan4636 yes, obviously...
It impresses me that the huge icebergs are so well balanced that 300lbs on any side of it could flip it over, it probably weighs 20-40 tons if not more.
Every cubic metre is about a ton of water so I’d say it weighted quite a bit more than 40tons.
The aren’t ‘balanced’. That’s hilarious! They’re floating and if any part gets heavier, it sinks, it doesn’t balance
@@debbylou5729 Wow, what an utterly uneducated and stupid comment.
@@debbylou5729 ...That's like saying that a surfboard or boat aren't balanced.
So in the end, the word "balanced" is just about correct, as that iceberg was definitely not going to sink more than a couple millimeter from 300lbs of human stepping on it.
People really will argue about anything....👆
I'm going to have to say the train Collision was the best one with the tractor-trailer carrying all the cars that one was literally like straight out of Fast and the Furious it was wild
Yes, wow, I wasn't expecting the cars to go flying like that. Looked pretty cool though!
That happened several years ago. Fortunately, the trucker himself was standing quite a way from the track, knowing that the truck was going to be destroyed, so he wasn't in any danger. I don't recall the details of that....saw it the first time on a different video site about four years ago....but he drove, or attempted to drive, the loaded truck and trailer over a crossing that wasn't meant for such trucks, and he couldn't clear the tracks. He was stuck-stuck....until the train came along.

i'm ordering the after dinner lifeboat myself.
Iceberg
I’d think w 30 yrs experience you’d think he’d find a better place to climb then a moving ice cube in the freezing ocean … just sayin😮
Those guys weren't climbing the iceberg. In fact they go DOWN the iceberg immediately and the one guy is constantly chopping the ice. They were either trying to get a piece of the iceberg for some reason or doing something they weren't supposed to.
8:51 I can tell you exactly why the car hauler got stuck. Same reason tractor-trailers always get stuck at grade crossings. The trailer got high-centered because the grade was too steep. Basically one set of trailer wheels on each side of the hill, and the top of the hill is literally holding up the trailer. A CDL should know better.
1:04 Quite a bargain, 5 Towers for the Price of 4 Towers.
The Jet boat one is from a lake near me, remember when it made the news, fantastic
Wow that was actually some awesome stuff I've never seen
Finally, a positive use for speed-boaters!
9:30. You’re not sure why the truck was stuck? It’s clearly high centered on the front of the trailer. The crossing is too steep and he’s fully loaded. It’s dragging the tracks.
Exactly, and wherever he was delivering, other trucks go a different route. Driver error.
That fire fighter is my hero 😊
The crane test was kinda awesome when you realise that it was exactly the reason for said tests - better in harbour than on a rig.
Also, I remember years back when I was hitch-hiking I talked to a truck driver and he straight up said, there's nothing on the roads he's afraid of, except for trams and trains. Even if they're slow, the will just plow through you without batting an eye.

Cruise ships sail under the Sydney Harbour Bridge all the time coming in to dock and when heading out for the voyage. I’ve been on that ship in particular before and she doesn’t even come anywhere close. The “Coat hanger” is a pretty friggen big bridge.
Thanks for this great compilation incredible mometns.
I loved that guy empatically tutting at the road falling away in that land slide.
It's amazing that that train was only 4 cars too. BTW, tractor-trailers get stuck like that often when they are fully loaded. The distance between the wheels makes it possible.
It has nothing to do with how loaded it is.
Car haulers and some flat beds are only a few inches off the ground, that’s why they get stuck on some railroad crossings… railroad crossings they’re not supposed to go over and should know better than to try.
@@Fetidaf Probably the loaded weight makes them a bit closer to the ground, so he wasn't wrong?
@@u1zha they don’t though…
Most trailers actually sit a little higher when they’re loaded because the airbags compensate to get the weight off the helpers, up until about 38-40k lbs they sink a tiny bit.
Plus car haulers are usually pretty light. If you have 8 cars on it it’ll only be about 25k-30k lbs. the trailers themselves are pretty heavy so they can’t haul a whole lot, weight-wise.
If anything it’ll be like 1/2” lower, a dry van with 46k lbs sits about that much lower than empty.
It would’ve gotten stuck regardless of the weight
I’m thinking way back in a mechanical drafting school when 1 of our 2 teachers put a challenge project for us to draw out a farm tractors field portable light weight jack that is stable enough, strong enough and safe to be used in the field by one person. Thus why in you bringing up the subject of car haulers getting stuck over railroad crossings….to come up with a solution in somehow fabricating hydraulics connected to the wheel axles to raise the entire framework during those crossings…nothing extreme but inches only.
@@vasquezalfred they’ve already got air bags, could have some secondary ones that are bigger or ones that push up a bit more… would definitely be easier to retrofit that than a hydraulic Jack of sorts… i think you’re on to something though.
Those Amtrak locomotives have cab parts that make it much easier to fix after grade crossing accidents. You’d think the semi driver would know his trailer would bottom out on the tracks.
He SHOULD have gotten out and looked to be sure.
We the Truck drivers are taught to make sure to have the trailer high enough but also to make sure your landing gear doesn't get stuck on the tracks. Obviously, he does not know how to take care of his truck.
The transitions were super smooth!

Your lunch has now become a cruise, enjoy
That building that rolled over probably had a gantry crane inside running the length of the building. Those reinforced girders probably weren't cut or weakened before demolition. So the bulk of the building rolled.
6:31 let's turn the camera away right when it hits the bridge ...🤔
That speed boat was amazing !! Please tell me they got recognition for that dare devil feat !!
The car hauler got stuck because of how low the trailer is. It had very little ground clearance and once the semi got up over the tracks and started to come back down, the trailer immediately bottomed out on the hump and there was literally no way of moving it at that point.
6:10 Don't raise the bridge. Lower the water.
Five for the price of four stacks demolished.

9:33 Train wreck, the truck getting stuck in this situation is a pretty common occurrence when a low profile truck attempts to cross risen tracks, the only downside in this situation was that a train ended up approaching.
Always remember that if your stuck on tracks in any vehicle similar to this truck, the train crossing lights usually have a phone number and crossing number, call them immediately to notify them so they can stop any approaching trains.
