- My collection of Samsung SGH models. Most of these were made for European markets, some North America models. GT, SPH or SCH were not included. The collection fluctuates all the time, this is what it was at the time of filming.
These videos are made for educational purposes and to preserve some footage of these devices that will disappear in a few years.

The reason is because I bought the iPhone in the port. Korean phones are also slightly different. (For reference, I am Korean)

Maybe you can help me, I have an SGH-E850 which still contains pictures and videos from my childhood. I was able to save all the photos to my Windows XP retro laptop via irDA. But in the Samsung file manager software on Windows I can only see the pictures folder. Unfortunately there is no video folder :( Also there seems to be no way to send the videos via MMS. Is there any way to get the videos saved from the phone?
Btw. very nice collection and archival work! I also have a bunch of older GSM phones to play around with :)
Can you send the videos over infrared? You can use a cheap phone with infrared and Bluetooth as the "middle man"
@@Vintagephonesarchive Sorry for the late answer. I tried some more things last weekend. On the phone itself there seems to be no way to send the video at all. Like when irDA is active, I can't even access the Video folder. It tells me to deactivate irDA or to remove the Datacable. I tried a few other versions of the PC Softwares like EasyGPRS Version 2.1.8 and Samsung PC Studio II PIMS & File Manager. I also tried to use Samsung PC Studio PIMS 3.2.2, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with my phone.
I do also have a serial cable for the phone which I got extremely cheap a while ago. Though I think it is not a data cable but rather some kind of service cable. The software doesn't detect the phone when connected to a computer, but the behavior of the Software is slightly different depending on if the cable is connected or not. Another thing I tried is to use a DELL Axim 51v Windows Mobile 5.0 PDA with irDA and a Sony Ericsson K800i also via irDA to see if they can somehow access the files on the phone. But no luck either - They detect that there is an irDA device, but they don't know what to do with that phone. I did make a video of my trys and will upload it later
