Train Sim World 2: Boston Sprinter - Rush Hour - NEC Boston to Providence

- The latest core update for console and steam users is here, along with the first route for "Rush Hour" - called "Boston Sprinter", which is actually the Providence line on the Northeast Corridor between Boston, Mass & Providence, R.I.
This add-on can be bought alone or as part of the Rush Hour season pass.
The Route contains the MBTA commuter operations as well as regional Amtrak services.
Please note, this is not a review or a "lets play" thing - this is a route overview where I'll try to cram as much of the route and content within as possible for the first video.

I love you videos man! Glad you did a video on this equipment. I remember seeing the AEM-7s screamin up and down the corridor. Fun fact, my dad was recorded as the fastest locomotive engineer in zone 1 (BOS-NYP) reaching 131MPH for an ACS-64! Big f40 fan as well!
No way thats awesome man, a buck 31. the 7s never looked like much externally but powerful as all hell and quintessentially amtrak from what i remember as a kid (80s baby)

Just bought this the other day and I was not disappointed. I’ve been waiting so long for the t to be on a train simulator and they did an excellent job imo
I'm really liking the engine sound on that F40.. They've managed to give the sound the feel of a big engine.. It's quiet but it's still got that low end rumble
Even though I played this route for hours. I watched this months later because I wanted to listen to what you had to say about this route.

Great video! F40 at the start is, yeah.... eh I guess. Grateful it wasnt a paste from Peninsula. Just needs a few fixes to have it be close to proper.
I think it could be a bit louder, these things are notoriously loud , zero sound proofing almost in the cab. Def above par in my book tho for dtg NA content
They made all the scenarios during winter because this route is "winter themed" and the next two routes will be "fall themed" and "summer themed"
I got the TSW4 special edition and this is one of the routes on it. I’m looking forward to it.
One of the best NA routes in any TSW title, mainly because dtg had little to do with the route itself, sounds etc
Me personally as a Bostonian, they really half-assed this one for sure. The fact of the matter that we've been asking for this route for many years including MBTA messaging DTG personally, and all we get is Boston to Providence is wack as hell.. Hell they couldn't even add several more miles to Wickford Junction to complete the entire commuter rail route. So sad whoever was working on Boston to New Haven Line project got scrapped all together for TS20XX; would have been nice to see the final version of that. Not sure why they wouldn't include every MBTA rolling stock from the get go. MBTA are the one's asking DTG, and all they give us are the B/CTC (tall windows) coach cars, and a F40PH-3C. Even if they're included later, it seems dumb to release it right now for what it is making it boring and unrealistic using the same consecutive rolling stock on the NEC. I want to see multilevel cars, B/CTC comet-style cars, F40PH-2C, GP40MC, HSP46, etc., etc. Also they've said it themselves in the livestream they have a full highspeed section through Mansfield but they don't even bother putting out the Acela. How hard can it be to release something that's been out for more than a decade on TSXX?

I take the orange line train (which is the subway route on the side of this map), I have to say they got the general idea of the area.I would have liked to see the Ruggles 3rd platform and forest hills be a stop(even though the needham trains stop there)
Open the cab window then you get the grunt of the engine.
The door open of the coach apparently is normal according to what Matt said in the stream. Apparently that vestibule fills up with snow in the winter.
Can't believe they just leave em open, even sittin in the yard overnight etc... feel like some critters would crawl up in there 😄

Idk if you figured this out already but when atc and acses beeps, you gotta go to suppression braking until you reach the lower speed. It says it's overspeeding, but you don't get a penalty.

The ACS-64s replaced the AEM-7 in 2016 and had 8600 hp

Why can't the trains have more external glass shine effects effects? It looks so odd when there is almost no texture in the glass.
They still have some problems with UE and overhead wires anti aliasing I assume adding that effect will make everything harder to see
Does this route have scenarios where the engineer has to be precarious to signal indications?

Well yes and no, kind of. While there are signals it's more atc/acses based in cab signaling. If its all switched on and youre not paying attn, itll bite ya quick 😉

Guys I urgently need your help, im on xbox and im missing dlc and its telling me to redownload how do I do it
Go into ‘manage game and add-ons’ and you need to uninstall all of the DLC’s you have and reinstall them and then they’ll work

no manual and next to useless tutorials because usually there's no explanation how to restart the train after an emergency stop ... it takes too long to do the tutorials just to find out there was no instructions about how to start the train after an emergency stop ... then to not have an instruction manual just makes it really really bad ... maybe there should be an option for on screen tips for how to restart the train ... the game wastes my time and money ... popping trees ... the save game issue ... not being able to restart the train ... i say don't buy it
