4-19-23 Tornado Storm Chase Iowa

- This chase started out in southwestern Iowa at Hwy34 and Hwy59. Emmerson Iowa and ended up by Elliott Iowa. Massive funnel several times, and according to the NWS there was brief ground initiation, so it was a tornado. No damage reported.

That thing turned out to be a big tease. Very purdy time lapse at about 16 min. Nice work!
It did numerous times. Then it gave its biggest show with almost a tornado before it quit. It was a fun chase though. Thanks for watching.

You guys ever consider doing a Documentary type style of your storm chases? I Could watch 30 -45 min episodes of every storm you chase. Amazing footage!
That's an idea to consider. On facebook I have a live feed. But making this more like a TV show or something.
I used to live in the QC area all day today and yesterday my phone been blowing up like crazy with warnings and watches
The weather will be settled down for a little while now.

I hate to be the fly in the ointment, but if you crashed your car with your daughter in it while chasing, if you both lived you’d be charged with Reckless Endangerment of a Minor. Having said that, I’m sure she’s loving every minute of it - doing something dangerous and exciting with her dad! Does it get any better than that? Thanks for taking us along. And, don’t forget water, the First Aid Kit, and perhaps a helmet or two.😁👍
Take your child and allow them to play in a football game. High chance of injury or worse. Buy a dirt bike and allow your child to race. I have seen kids half her age racing and jumping at high speeds. Allow you child to ride a horse. Many people are seriously injured or killed falling from horses. Pulling your child on a tube behind a boat. Deer hunting with your child. Climbing tree stands, or shotgun season deer drives. Speeding in your car with your child because you are late. Under the premise you stated lots of people are involving their children in "child endangerment". On the average 12,000 people die, and over 1 million serious injuries from using stairs. If someone has stairs in their house, they are creating a dangerous situation. My daughter wishes to go to college, and become meteorologist. She studies weather right now. This is a great learning opportunity, and valuable time spent together. On the other hand she could be running around town, smoking pot, and drinking beer like some other kids are.

@@TornadoCrewStormChasers You’re right about all that. However, the rules change a little in your car. Believe me, I’m on Your side. I’ve just seen the worst of the Criminal Justice system lately: murderers getting a slap on the wrist, thieves getting tickets, Good Samaritans arrested, etc. All I’m saying is, like the Boy Scouts motto: Be Prepared.
Right before 3:37 in the video it looked like there was a face in the clouds like it was looking at the town it was over

@@TornadoCrewStormChasers I had to go back a couple times to make sure what it was. It was crazy because it looked like it was trying to eat something really big but then goes back up
Good stuff Try not using auto focus … you’ll get much better results
Yes the sony camera was really freaking out. Going to experiment with the manual focus this week, and see if it falls out of focus from rough roads.
Please have your daughter film while you drive or another adult.Filming and driving don't mix.Stay safe!
