On April 14, 2024, the TV footage of the men's marathon race at the 2024 Beijing International
Long Distance Running Festival was broadcast. It shocked Chinese audiences. Is it possible for a
marathon to be carried out this way? It appeared that China's candidateHe Jie was actually "guaranteed" the champion title with the help of three African athletes. This has raised an uproar.

As for today's topic, international athletics have always been corrupt. For decades the IOC and various international federations let the Communist Bloc get away with sending full-time professional, state-sponsored athletes to amateur events like the Olympics, all for the glory of International Communism. The authorities in charge didn't care that the East German Sports Federation turned physically fit young people in the prime of their lives into monstrosities by pumping them full of performance-enhancing drugs. It's not like they've changed and ethical people are now in charge. Why wouldn't they turn a blind eye to the CCP's abuses?

Very possible that match fixing can occur to foot race and other sports event incidences. The Africans probably got handsomely paid off, got more sports sponsorship or should of. Sadly, many Africans are poor and have pressures from their families and governments to comply. It adds corruption to the event and increases likelihoods of fixed events, not fair competing events. This is not just by African competing athletes. It's well known that ring fighting events, like boxing, has been fixed in the past on many occasions (because of sports bets). The answer to this; boycott the sporting events and products (sports shoes etc.), to fixed sports events; sponsorship, prize money or sttendance of the event (ticket sales). If you want fair competition.
All you need is money to win.

What are anti-doping authorities and governments waiting for to establish a standard by which all athletes without exception undergo biannual or annual anti-doping tests carried out in an independent laboratory to guarantee the credibility of the results? How many more decades are they going to tolerate this disrespectful and belligerent behavior?
