You can use these settings to make you more secure than using the default settings in the Tor Browser Bundle. The default settings are secure, but they are not the most secure settings for Tor Browser. This will get you closer to a fully anonymous state where you are nearly untrackable using Tor's encryption and nodes. Use Tor to bypass regional restrictions such as China, or bypass wifi restrictions and access websites such as CZcams, Netflix, or Reddit.

I want to save my settings on my persistent storage which I already set up on my pendrive cause you know how annoying it is to re - change all settings tor and tail settings everytime I'm gonna enter the os. Can you help?
Does it work for 7.5.1?
Techlore great video as always. One question what do you mean by, use only pseudo? If you have the Tor browser on the setting you mention in your video or you have the setting and a VPN does it still applies?
@Ye Qui: You can set up persistent storage to save all of your settings. I haven’t personally done it myself since that breaks one of the reasons of using a LiveOS. Nothing is ever stored about you. If you’re using persistent storage on Tails, you might as well just properly configure another Linux distribution. There are some good guides on Google though to set up the persistent storage.
@killer: It should as far as I know.
@trust990: Yep. Everything you do in Tor should be separate from your personally identity. If you do ANYTHING that could tie to your personal identity within Tor, you’ve compromised your anonymous session.
You can access .onion websites but you won’t be able to install the actual Tor browser on ChromeOS. So I wouldn’t recommend it AT ALL, since nothing is configured for your privacy. To access .onion, check out Tor Browser Button and Kronymous from the chrome store

Wonder if you made video on fastest and most secure browser list for private or business purposes
Hey, I'm using both Tor and Windscribe VPN on my MAC Os (High Sierra), I've done a lot of research and was wondering if I was truly secure. Should I just stick to TailsOS if I want to do some browsing, or could I just do it on Kali Linux (my personal linux OS i use)
Hey Ramee...you've really opened up a can of worms here lol. On a basic level, it would make sense that you would be most protected if you used TailsOS or Kali. However...it is a pretty debated topic to use these services for your main personal identity. You are already exposed if you are logging into websites with your actual information, so your privacy will be unchanged if you use MacOS or a Linux distro. At the end of the day, it comes down to whether or not your security (not privacy) is increased. Typically Linux distros ARE considered more secure, so if that's what you're looking for...then yes! However, when people use Tor, it's to anonymize themselves in order to hide their identity and regain their privacy, not to boost their security.
So I really don't have a solid answer for you. I would argue that your personal OS doesn't need to be routed through Tor, or even on a high-security Linux distro. MacOS is A-Okay! However, your anonymous identity can truly benefit from the privacy tools offered by Tor and TailsOS.
Thanks for the answer, I eventually decided to use Tails OS with a live USB and network adapter and was able to find the most security out of it and being able to take it with me on the go.
How do you create pseudonyms inside of tor?
The video is great but I have questions about how to view youtube on browser tor while installing at the highest security level without fail I tried many times but failed. me is a people on the middle and you know that it is the high level of the high level, you can help me how to youtube to your browser browser to not be used to vpn with high security security.

When sending bitcoin, is it best to use Tor? or does one need to use a bixmixer
As he said: never login on your real accounts using Tor. This of course includes your E-coin wallet.
Techlore,
For a next video can you show how to encrypt a custom ROM for an Android. Will be awesome!
So what should I use for normal life? If tor can't be used for email and communication, what should one use for that? Google, which is already basically malware?
I use macOS last version, is this a safe or not, like you said regarding windows?
Depends what you mean by safe. Everyone has a different threat model. There is a smaller likely of a utilized exploit (even though MacOS has more exploits), security through obscurity works in your favor. Apple privacy is better than Microsoft, but it is by no means perfect.
It's ok to use security safer mode?
Love it! Thank you for doing this video!
No problem! Happy you enjoy it :)
Bit Defender is also giving VPN service... Can u make a video on antivirus softwares as you are using TOR browser... Also make a video on setting of Bit Defender and other antivirus software which you want to recommend... Keep up the good work Brother....

Hello ! Maybe I'm writing this too late because the video is quite old. I want to tell you that while browsing with Tor, never keep it on fullscreen because the possible hackers may get your screen resolution. It is also said by Tor on their website that they wouldn't recommend nobody to keep the browser on full screen. Have a nice day !
The video addresses this towards the end, thanks for the reminder though 👍

Do you need to disable javascript and flash if you're using tails? because I think tails force every connection through tor...
It does. I would use Tor as it comes out of the box and only disable things you don't need.
When yoy spije of disabling all scripts, did you mean also to disable JavaScript?
Yes, but it will dramatically affect your browsing experience.
So i can get access to some website and ill be completely safe?
Hey great Video. In the Video you said never login while using tor. So what is the safest way to create and login into accounts?
Excellent question! The main reason not to login to a site over Tor is because it exposes your personal identity within your pseudonym inside Tor. The best thing to do is to secure your main web browser by removing unneeded third party extensions, using a VPN, avoiding Chrome (Google privacy invasion), removing history/cookies/cache on exit, and using ublock/https everywhere/privacy badger to keep you safe. That is the safest way to go without exposing your tor identity
Techlore ok thanks
Of course 👍
Can I use Mac?
I maximised for long time. What problem do I face?
I'm interested in increasing anonymity and have been hearing about Tor. However, I mainly use the Internet to casual browse or talk with friends, etc. Is it recommended I get Tor or are there any alternative methods I can use to be more anonymous?
I can heavily relate to this, even if I don't talk to friends online.
Have you had an answer from anywhere yet? I have the same problem.
@@joelstephenson8017 I've been using Brave browser as they are more privacy focused and their browser doesnt eat up my laptop's CPU like chrome does. Maybe that one might work best for you? Otherwise, I don't really have any other suggestions.
@@targetedandfiring4336 thanks mate. I chose brave just yesterday for CZcams, and I think I'll probably do firefox for personal email, etc. I did that because I heard it isn't good to log into accounts on tor if you want to be anonymous, so it's better to have something less private, yet secure if you need to log in.
Are these the same settings for Android if not can u do a video on that thanks
It’s going to be fundamentally the same, but android is much more limited than a full desktop OS. I’ve noted the video idea ;)
question: hypothetically if i want to search some sick shit , like drugs , explosives etc ( i really don't) how long it would take to put me in jail :D ? im just curious of the safety limit
Perhaps this could be of value for a Targeted Individual, continuously hacked and keylogged etc.
I would like to consult about Tor if I might..
I've installed the browser several times, but every time when I'm trying to open it for the first time after installation I face the same problem and same message:
"Tor unexpectedly exited, This might be due to a bug in Tor itself, another program on your system, or faulty hardware. until you restart Tor, the Tor browser will not able to reach any websites. If the problem persists, please send a copy of your Tor log to the support team.
Restarting Tor will not close your browsing tabs."
so as I was saying I was trying to reinstall several times and apart from that I was trying to disable my antivirus but to no avail.
when I've tried to copy the Tor log I have seen the following message time after time:
" Copy complete. 0 Tor log messages are ready to be pasted into a text editor or an email message."
I would really appreciate the help and it sounds like you have enough experience in order to help me.. I've tried by myself for so many times but I just can't find a way to fix it by myself.
Fixed?

Hello! Which OS do you think is the most secure (linux distro).
Check out Qubes. I don't understand enough yet to comment further, but that some "famous" security guy said it was "reasonable secure".
Yeah the two main Linux distros are Tails and Qubes. Both have different benefits and use cases.
screw qubes - i've been trying to get it to boot for 3 days and i'm about to throw my laptop out the window. unless you have extensive knowledge of linux, qubes will do nothing for you but take up space on your hard drive. Tails on the other hand, is awesome, simple as hell to use (even if you've never used linux before it's easy to pick up), and it takes up very little space or resources.
Good Jobs

1. What VPN is good to use on Tor?
2. How can I encrypt my hard drive if I have windows 10 home? It doesn't include BitLocker.
ProtonVPN is pretty solid.
Use VeraCrypt, he also has a video on it.
Patrick Rabin mullvad all the way and please purchase with btc if ur actually looking to stay anonymous
Pointless to use Tor through proxy client software because the client software knows your ISP IP and phones it home.
Since your proxy link latency is known, Tor network latency is known, and proxy-to-tor-nodes latency is known, correlation spying becomes precise.
VPN is only ever good if you connect from hardened Linux direct to VPN server's IP, no client app.
I'm a little confused what exactly tor would be usefull for if your not logging into accounts can anyone explain
It is for more private surfing.
For example if you load a site like any site facebook or your next door delivery service there will also be loaded scripts on this site like google analytics wich give them information about your surfing behaviour. if noscript is enabled in tor this scripts are usually blocked.
Noscript is also availeble for Firefox Browser.
If you log into a site like your email it creates a unique log personal data wich can be tracked down and identify you.
To be safe just make sure you use secure Passwords with more then 8 Digits counting Letters Numbers and switch between small.and tall writing.
Yess thanks

Reinstall Tor, including the use of a bridge. Your country might be blocking the Tor network.

Don’t
I have windows. Does this mean that if I browse website in hidden wiki, I can get hacked???
You can get hacked no matter what you do. Windows is often more largely targeted for attacks and they collect a ton of details about your computer which is awful for privacy.

Is it good to use a virtual machine with tor?
Yes! Avoid a Windows VM if possible. Just keep in mind that a VM isn't an impenetrable sandbox from your host OS. It is actually possible to bypass the VM and infect a host OS, but this is extremely complex.
A virtual machine is a sandboxed operating system. So imagine running MacOS on your Windows computer through a virtualization program. Windows is your "Host" operating system. and MacOS is the "Guest". Virtual machines are great because they separate an entire operating system from your main operating system. It can serve as a good barrier between your personal identity and your pseudonym. It can also serve as a barrier for attacks and viruses, since a majority of them won't be able to infect the host OS, but do keep in mind that it HAS been done before. To set one up, I'd recommend typing into Google "Windows virtual machine setup" or whatever guest you're looking for. It's very straight forward and there are some excellent guides on CZcams.
How to Vm within a Vm within a Vm? I'm planting toy windmills in inception safes. Asking for a friend.
Most VM tools actually check if the currently installation is a virtual machine, and if it is...it blocks the installation. This is what I’ve heard but I never tested it myself.
in 2018 actually you can activate virtual Intel VTx supprot for a virtual OS
Guys I run windows 10 and you are saying it is not ideal for using tor. My drives are not encrypted either. What do you suggest I do?
Encrypt your drives with Veracrypt, and switch to a Linux distro or Whonix
Thank you. Thing is I am used to windows and as I paid for it I don't really want to get rid of it plus I used it in my gaming rig with direct x 12. Could I possibly download Linux onto my PC and run it in a virtual box? I heard that is a thing. Apple mac users run ios but also have the option of running windows 10 in a virtual box in their machines.

Can I still be tracked if I use a boot drive with zero personal information??
Mike P yes they will get ur IP
@@Harry-tj2yz Ha! Good thing i'll be using public hotspot.
Nailed it. Will you ever do a video about navigating safely through the darknet ? I think that's something that has to be touched as people think a vpn and tor will keep them safe no matter what. But no that's not the case .... A vpn may hide your IP (in most cases) but if someone try's hard they'll crack almost if not any vpn...
You know...that's a tricky area. I typically avoid talking about the "dark web" because it has a bad reputation and it's typically associated with criminal activities. I'm not quite confident enough in my ability to shed light to the dark web in a manner that truly brings out some of its use cases in a professional way on the channel. It's a possibility, but definitely not anytime soon :( Regardless, thank you so much for the video idea and it's definitely a good area to talk about eventually!
Okay. Maybe one day I will do a vid on it. I'm quite familiar with the dark net cause I spend almost two years meeting people checking out disturbing and interesting sites and learning in and with it every day.
Definitely do a video on it then!
Techlore If you help me write the script.... I'll do it.
I am making the series of videos about it but I'm afraid they're in Persian, the video series are about Virtualization and how to firewall the connection between host and guest then TOR Bundle and its security level and then I will dive into the Deep WEB cause I think there are useful stuff there.
Wait, how badly should I NOT be using Windows with Tor? Is it like immediate fate, or is it a small risk?
It's like a Matrix link into your conscious.

You're getting into the discussion of anonymization vs pseudonimation. But the main reason it's not recommend to use Windows is the OS itself can spy on your Tor session and there are vulnerabilities in the past found in the Tor Browser Bundle. It's recommend to use something like Whonix or Tails

Good video idea, noted.
solamisandwich05 tails, because Kali was never built for privacy.
I recommend you use a Virtual machine like Virtual Box and download and use Tails as an OS and set it to linux, it already come with Tor preinstalled, use a VPN if you have one or download a a cracked version off a torrent, its not 100% safe, nothing is but its pretty damm close!!
Why not use full screen?
I have a question: why shouldn't we login to websites?
Tor anonymizes your web traffic. If you login to a personal account you have instantly de-anonymized yourself. Only exception is if you create an account using Tor with 0 personal information and never login to that outside of Tor.
just something to point out, DO NOT USE TOR FULL SCREEN. This allows serious hackers to identify your display size screen and find your location. I do not know how they do this stuff but just note that everyone.
