I love Touko's gay panic in this episode and Yuu being a little gremlin by increasing Touko's gay panic by moving close to her and feeling her pulse, when they were in Yuu's bedroom. We are seeing more signs that Yuu is attracted to Touko and wants to explore a relationship with her even though she feels she has no romantic feelings for Touko yet.
Interesting how we heard Touko call her a perv before they kissed last episode, and now Yuu throws the comment back at her by saying who's the perv now.
Like how we see Touko feeling jelly, but instead of letting it build she acknowledges her jealous feeling in front of Yuu and clarifies Yuu's friendship with Maki.
At this point I would say Yuu's sister has worked out that Touko has a crush on Yuu. That's why she sent Touko a photo of Yuu. Saying "Take good care of Yuu for me" to Touko suggests that Yuu's sister is giving Touko her approval of Yuu and Touko being in a relationship. I think it was her boyfriend's comment about Touko's gift to Yuu being something you would give to your girlfriend and Touko's reaction to learning that Yuu loves cheesecake that got Yuu's sister thinking that way,
Episode 6 is emotional and has an end of credits scene.
You were asking about whether are manga author had the same experience as Yuu; this extract from the Wiki page is interesting:
"As they were planning the characters, Kusunoki and Nakatani asked others around them for stories about their experiences with romance. One woman said that she did not understand romantic feelings, and Nakatani based the manga's depiction of Yuu's emotions on her story."
I have a recommendation for you, GMMTV's latest Thai series 23.5, 12 episodes resently finish. 99.9% GL. I enjoyed it. As I understand it, all the main female characters are lesbian or BI and of the male main characters only one is straight.
