For the option 2, Can the NVR be connected to an acces point, or does it need to be connected to the same router as the POE switch?
I want to run 20 cameras from POE switch to and NVR and Router. Would I need a gigabit lan switch also ? Can I use a 24 port POE switch with a 4 port nvr ?

Merci pour la vidéo svp j'ai une question j'ai des caméras analogique qui sont converti vers une seul adrees ip chaque convertisseur contient 5cams j'ai convertisseur qui veut dire 4 adresse ip reliant un routeur esque c'est possible d'installer sur entré ethernet xvr dahua et de récupérer mes camera pour ces address ip ou adress commune de routeur. Are all port from POE switch have both power and data?
If yes, does it means the router is also powered by the POE switch?
you should not connect your router cable to any POE port or else it will damage your router device, every POE switch has extra non POE port for router and NVR connection

On 0:21 there's two uplink ports (non-POE)
Can I connect both the Router and NVR on those two uplink ports?
instead of connecting both POE and NVR on router's two Lan ports?

Router can be powered by poe but they are different from regular router

i have a PoE NVR with an external switch..the cameras on the NVR comes on but not the ones on the switch..the switch is connected to the NVR and the NVR is connected to the router..the system was reset to clear password info..and was working fine before this..
what can i do to fix the issue..??
i tried various steps and configurations for ip addressing..but could not get it to work..
First you try to check with Ivms 4200 pc software, whether software can able find/search all the cameras, Then check all the cameras IP address & make sure all cameras IP address are same series of IP network

please... i connect the ip camera used option 1 , when i want add it show me the ip cameras in same ip of dvr and am try to change the ip and end it when want to save it want insert the password...which password it mean...becouse i try to insert Dvr password it reject it
Hi, The each ip camera have their own password it was created at first time using, If you forget the password then you can reset the camera by sending email to Hikvision support.

You have done a mistake, you have to connect sweetch to internet not the dvr.

i think POE is somewhat good for just ONE camera. but still won't do it. it can't supply the necessary voltage and current the camera needs. worse, possibly damaging your camera.
You must buy Poe camera, because they use 48 to 52 volts. Regular camera are 12volts, they will burn out if connected to Poe.
