That's a pretty cool trick for measuring the thickness of a captive stone in a box. Just slip a piece of paper into a seam and fold it on top. So easy a caveman can do it (me)
For this it it ok because I know how they glued them. A uk hone wedged in the box can have massive sheets of that white plaster fused to the bottom of a rounded hone so not to be trusted.
