Team twist out girl. I found i got a lot of tangles with wash and gos so i stopped doing them. I use gel or mousse in combination with a leave-in and cream for my twist outs. Creams alone do nothing for me except moisturize my hair. The mousse or gel brings my coils into formation. I love the finished product your hair looks amazing.

I loved both of y’all hair I was more in love in with the twist out more than anything. Probably because I never rocked one yet. I would of definitely rocked my twist as is because they were fire but I truly enjoy you ladies and I appreciate all this bomb knowledge y’all be dropping because my hair is flourishing and I’m so in love with my natural hair I’ve become a bit conceited.

I use a primer gel and a strong hold gel for my braidouts. I always dry with heat to set the curl pattern and to avoid frizz.

I do twist out in the dead of winter because it's just to dry where I am to do wash n goes (oh the tangles). I don't do as many twist, maybe I do 16 and it comes out so good. It looks as if I shingled...but in wayyyyyy less time.
In the summer I don't do twist out because it stretches my hair out too much and with the humidity where I live, the hair style just falls apart. Wash n goes last longer.

I think your twist out came out great, but it would have came out perfect if she would have used the same products you used in your wash and go. That's what I do, I don't change the products. I use the same for both styles.

I always use a twisting or curl cream & a foam mousse for my twist outs. I just started twisting my hair like this & it does make the twist tighter & adds to the definition, I love how my hair looks. My sister always tells me my twist outs look like wash n goes!😁

I think it looks perfect! I always enjoy day 3/4 for the amount of volume you can achieve. Maybe two much gel can make it crunchy on the twist out.

Your wash and go's are epic. The twist out takes too long for uncertain results. It ultimately came out nice, though.

I’m a twist out person.. never tried a wash and go anytime I wet my hair it’s curly but it shrinks immediately when it dries
