Gott segne Sie!
I’ve never been a fan of abstract art but over the past year you’ve helped me come to appreciate it. I teach art at an elementary school and I want to incorporate some of your stuff, especially the “drip trees”. I wish you’d do a lesson on the way you do the palm trees with your drip tree style. Thanks.
My brown "lightbulb" moment came when black and red-orange ran together on my palette and gave me a rich wonderful brown that blended perfectly with the red-orange on the painting. I subsequently found out that orange and yellow-orange gave me more wonderful shades of custom browns when mixed with black or Payne's gray.
I can make all kinds of brown, easy, (And greys lol)..They are great for warming up next to cool pinks. Earth tones have or give depth, imo. Glad to be here, thank you much! Wow, virtual exhibit?
I love your videos Bob. I am learning so much from you. I have a question about the colour wheel. Does the same principle of using 2 spice colours work on a regular colour wheel?
Bob, you always say, behind every great painting is a great abstract painting. Ive watched every video, i have yet to see you do a great painting over your 3 min abstract paintings. Cone on man, i would love to see a great painting with some detail ove your slouches of mud... please prove me wrong..
"Slouches of mud?" Aren't you precious! If you want "How to do a happy little painting step-by-step," go watch Bob Ross and his art for the masses. Mr. Burridge's detailed work is beyond most of us, and can be found in collections across the U.S..
I’m not sure which paper Bob uses in this video, but in the past he has used Fabriano 300 lbs water color paper. He uses the 30”x22” sheets that he cuts into smaller pieces. Then he gessoes it and the end result makes for a very sturdy paper that takes a ‘beating’ (Vey wet paint, scrubbing, rubbing etc.). Because of Bob I’ve been using it, and it is a fantastic product. I buy it in packets of 10 when I find a sale, because it is not cheap. I just recently bought 10 for $108. They go a long way if you cut the sheets up in smaller pieces.
Bonjour de France Bob merci for your videos always very interresting and I have a question for you what do you call rubbing alcool knowing that i can't buy isopropyl here thank you have à great day Armelle.

Thanks Bob for reminding that browns are beautiful especially when the colors in them shine through.

I love your brown flowers, Bob! Did you make a video on that? I love earthy colors.
Thanks! I had a lot of fun with that BobBlast. No video specifically - just that BobBlast. I cover some of that info in my Online Neutrals Workshops.

Painting turned out great!
Wow! It’s beautiful 😍
Thank you Bob.
I like brown when you add green besides it. Burnt Sienna is a pretty brown
Bellísimo, pero sería bueno ver todo el proceso.
