THE most epic soundtrack for a couple of garage steps... ever! I like the decked out Element.
Awesome job! Great video editing as well.
Nice job, steps looking great.
They really came out great! I like the use of the composite for the tops... should wear really well over the years. I was going to ask about the adhesive but I just saw it down below.... good to know.
Joe
Ay yo 500k subscribers what you doing here lol
Love it! Good thing you speed up the cordless saw cutting etc. ... :)
Although I need to build a landing and stairs, your video game me all the info I needed.
Thank you. Happy cordlessing! (is that even a word?) LOL TC.
Thanks so much for recording and sharing. Good views on the measuring, cuts, screw attachments. Only suggestiong is at the final look, the camera was moving, twisting and blurring too much to see the final, and it would help us to see a measure of each rise, it appears 2 bottom steps are 3.5 rise, with a ? 7? rise on the top 2, I thought code was to match each rise for safety, and I agree with the handrail suggestion to place it on the left, more out of the way for clearance of loading in groceries, furniture, etc. Nice work! And are those trex treads size 5"? I had to go back to see how you mounted the handrail post, I see that you placed it square with the frame corner.
Nice, thanks for sharing!
Nice quick build. I need to do this myself
That's one certainly one of those edits ! Handy steps.
Wow awsome job
Impressed again! Gotta say - your editing is brilliant! And thanks to your subs and comments here I found Pat (Le PicBois) whom I've also subscribed to - love his work.. Keep these great videos coming - that stair build was my morning "pick-me-up" after working through the night trying to complete a job for the 4th. Thanks again! mike :-)
How did you adjust for the grade of the floor, when you put your weight on the stairs to screw into the ledger, what is the correct way (I could think of a million) to shim it up correctly and sturdy? shims underneath? Does the post hold it up off the ground?
What if ur just replacing three steps can I just the old 1/4 inch wood before I attach the stringers
Now that's gettin er done! No babbling and all action, thanks👍
It's what I do! :)
Looks good, Paul.
Now I need to make a set of steps to replace our concrete blocks. Also I love your taste in music, assuming it's similar to your vids.
I need to make 3 steps for garage but foldable for maximun space. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.
you missed the most important part of the video; how did you mount the bottom post?
he screwed it into the frame you pause it @3:30
How wide are the steps?
Cool vid, nicely done. How high is your rise without the tread on the bottom two steps?
I think it's about 5.5" without the tread 6.5" with it? Depends on the total rise of the stairs though.
Can you tell me what kind of tape (brand) you put on the bottom edges? i presume it's so that the wood that is in contact with the garage floor doesn't rot.
That's just a peal and stick membrane, same as what you would use for roofing or sometimes on top of sheathing. It's some sort of an adhesive rubber asphalt product I believe.
One small set of steps for man, one giant leap for video editing.
steps turned out nice
what did you put on the bottom of the steps for it to set on the garage floor?
Well that was definitely a step in the right direction.......Great video buddy.
Pressure treated wood gives off poison it is only for outside use.
I see what you did there.
Nice work, shouldn't the handrail be on the left side so it's out of the way more?
I'd say the handrail was right. It's not blocking those shelves, but more important it's on the same side as the doorhandle instead of being opposite it. I'm totally guessing though.
i came here for the build advice but the song in the 1st 30 seconds speaks to me - who sings it?
What was that tape you put on the edges?
Ken
I figured that was what it was. I enjoyed the video.
Ken
So the post is toenailed to the tread? I'm building steps to my back sliding door and the rail has me stressed out the most.
Nice job, but in my opinion, you really want to use pressure treated wood on concrete.
Stepping up your game in editing I see.... Nice job! Oh, and the steps turned out nice as well. :)
True. I think he's (*****) an inspiration for all of CZcams....
I'm jealous, that would take me 2 days to complete
Nice but you don’t help if your no describe how is the process and materials with measurements i know every project is different thank you For sharing
Didnt show how you attached the post.. Darn. Screws in concrete with phalange?
Them cordless circular saws just really do struggle sometimes
nice now epoxy that floor
your license plate is visible in the video
A lot of driving there buddy
Garage is still a mess
And blades are getn shittier not lasting for very much time not many cuts
