Man, do I miss this channel. Not many did LEGO reviews like TB, complete with the music, presentation and objective analysis.
It was the best lego channel to me.
Hope he comes back one day to do the Orient Expedition theme
@@EpicoNubletto why did he leave tho?
@@honeytoasty5496 no idea, I only found the channel this year
@@EpicoNubletto he left because he was burned out by how much work went into this channel, which is a very understandable reason. After all its a Hobby, so fun should always be a priority.
But I miss his Videos, I even feel Nostalgia for the Videos themselves by now 😅
I wouldn’t mind paying $120 for a ~400 piece set if they had those sweet base plates. I miss those so much
Na 120 for all that would bankrupt lego....again.. lol
This base plate in particular jumped the shark, at some point why buy Lego, just get a model
Not to mention having everything printed instead of having to deal with stickers.
Yeah, as a kid I never cared about piece count. I cared about the size and uniqueness of the finished build. I always thought the specialty base plates added to the fun.
Yea that car is hard too
Anxiously awaiting your Dino Island reviews. No one else makes these in the kind of quality that you do.
Check our R.R. Slugger’s channel. They’re picking up where TrikBrix left off
@@Space-Holiday omg thank you so much!
I remember dreaming about this set when I was 6. If only I was born 5 years earlier. I really missed so many good classic LEGO sets
My older cousin gave me this set when I was 6. He was around 13 so he was all about playstation 2 and xbox at the time. I moved so many times over the years and lost this. I'd do anything to have this back. He have it to me in 2002ish so I remember I wanted to find more lego adventure sets but they were discontinued. Thank you for letting me relive my child hood, since I will never have this again
I really hope you're able to continue the Adventurers series. The Dino Island and Studios series are my favorite and introduction to Lego
Palomar takes a few steps inside and...aah.
I died 😂
I had goosebumps at the end, such a beautiful presentation 🔥
This feels the good old 90s
Love your reviews. Very awesome please continue making these. Especially with vintage sets like this
I always liked these raised baseplates in any form and shape, but never had one. They especially add a lot to adventure, pirates and castle themes.
Glad that I discovered your channel this is bringing back so many memories from my childhood diehard LEGO fan 🤙🏻🤙🏻
I love how you review it while telling a story! I saw an ad for this set when I was 9yo and was so amazed, but never managed to get my hands on it :(
I was only Interested In the dinosaur related Adventures sets but your reviews are simply wonderful!
Great set! Great video! Keep up the good work...
Your Channel is High Quality, Great Reviews of some awsome sets I never got as a Kid.
Thanks so much! Glad you’re enjoying it! 😎👍
so nostalgic for me. this was my favorite set i had as a kid.
Great review! Thanks for these videos. I'll give the Amazon theme a shot if I can hunt down the desert sets.
Glad you enjoyed it! The Amazon theme is definitely worth tracking down and adding to your collection, after you acquire all the desert sets, of course. 😎👍
Wow! That's an amazing set! With rock and mountain designs, a bridge and so much details and play features. I like the skeleton that falls, and most of all the crocodile. :D
Glad you liked it! Those old crocs are pretty cool... Thanks for watching! 😎👍
Just discovered your channel, I love your work awesome reviews.
Love the retrospectives :D
Always loved the colors on this set, it's a bold choice but looks very nice in my opinion
Amazing review, thanks for creating such a content. You deserve much more subs
I had and loved this set as a kid. And when I saw the Knights Kingdom castle in magazines but didn't have enough allowance to afford it, I noticed the baseplates between that one and this one were the same mold in different colors so I did my best to recreate the castle on the jungle plate.
Nice video can’t wait for what’s to come!
Thanks, Steven! Lots more on the way! 😎👍
this was my very first large lego set as a kid, played it to the grave, RIP lego set u where fun
please add more videos!! love your work.
I always wanted this set when I was a kid, but never had it. Durying the covid pandemic I built it and the rest of the adventurers sets using Lego Digital Designer. Nowadays I still conserve some anventurers sets, like the sphinx, the valley of the kings, and the Anubis tomb... Relics from my childhood.
Can't wait for Dino Island! They go hand in hand with Jungle :)
Best reviews of CZcams!
Such an awesome set and vid
I just found this channel and was so excited about the Dino Island adventures when I found out that he won't continue doing them :(
Used to drool over this one 🤤 Totally had Pharaoh‘s ancient ruins as a kid tho!
thank you for sharing this. I found the remains of this set and thought I had a Islanders set. Then I started finding safari guys with cameras and get thoroughly confused
I loved those huge mountain baseplates (:
I got this and the big space shuttle kit one Christmas, needless to say it was the best Xmas ever, I really wish I kept them together, most of the pieces are lost. It was one of the kits I would look at in magazines and dream of having. I was so lucky. I still have one of the long pieces with the ancient carvings to remember it. 5:22 argh I remember playing with that pot! 6:15 I do have that palm tree though, I need to go to my friends parents house and dig through his LEGO like a goblin freak.
This set is amazing. With like 200 pieces of details more could be great.
Adventurers was such a good theme
Wen wil you do dino island of adventurers? Love your vids btw good work!!😁
Cool to see another Adventurers set! I really like the boat (too bad that you got the wrong one at first - thank the stars for BL! :-D). I really like the baseplate actually but I see you point on padding the piece count. And, I agree fully on the ToD vide in this set! Good to see that the minifigs got their coffee needs covered :-D It's an interesting set but I agree on your final judgement and I really liked your palmtree modification! Great :-D Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!
Thanks, Jakob! Glad you enjoyed it. And yeah - I don’t know what I’d do without BL!! I’d be lost! Lol...
Thanks again for watching, my friend! 😎👍
TrikBrix lost and alone! It would be dark - so dark! 🤣
Lol... it’d be terrible for sure!
I have this set and absolutely love it!
I had that seaplane! It was awesome
My favorite Lego Set I've ever owned.
When i recieved this set for christmas i was so happy
This was another exciting trip! The printed pieces here are almost exactly the same types as in the desert subtheme. As if the designers were tasked to reinterpret the same pieces for a different setting :-). There are less printed pieces here compared to Pharaoh's Forbidden Ruins, probably because of the huge baseplate. Either way, I love this set and theme. It deserved more medium sized structures and more sets overall. But at least it got a fantastic video series with its very own soundtrack, thanks to you, Jamie :-). PS: a teaser for a space theme? I'm excited!
Thanks, Glenn! I agree that we should’ve seen more Jungle sets released. Maybe they were just too busy rolling out Star Wars at the time. And if you like space themes... stick around. 😄👍 Thanks again for watching!
This one was also one of my dream sets as a kid. At least I was lucky enough to have 5936 aka Spider's Secret
I wish Lego continued to make printed and landscaped baseplates
I would love to see a modification to this set.
Basically, the building across the bridge, is moved up front.
The bridge is replaced with a trap floor, and a new ruins building is placed in the back with the main sun disk.
Perhaps the center has a trap and a pit, and side things, maybe like a puzzle game with plates.
Adventurer has to open a door by doing a specific code
Awesome set
Glad you liked it! 😎👍
Raised base plates were awesome
Would love to see Dino Island!
I had this set still have the tribe chief and the cowboy hat guy I didn’t know how old this set was and took it apart to build other stuff I even have the whole base piece
I wish they would bring these old sets back
That 2x2 Mod Curved Top Brick in Tan is no longer exclusive, it now appeared in set 11004 Windows of Creativity in the Creator line.
7:50 a man has fallen into the river in Lego jungle!
Start the new airship!
this set is perfect no other words
Glad you liked it! And thanks so much for watching! 😎👍
well I would immediately pick it up if I find a good deal on eBay
Are you gonna do a Dino island video?
2:26 I Want That Boat.
Pls keep up the content! :’(
I never knew they created an entirely different palm tree mould for these sets, I wonder why - at a distance they look pretty similar.
Wish i could find baseplates like that
Where's the next part? :) Still waiting
Do you sell this set
I agrea with you in the pricey of this awsome set.
So cool, but sooo expensive!
Still hoping for the Dino Island and Orient Expedition seasons
Were Minifigs even able to hold those rifles properly? Or were they restricted to holding them in resting positions?
They could hold them correctly I have about 4 of the element
This was a rough era for Lego. Flagship sets were too over-reliant on giant baseplates with too little for the part bin, a lot like the King Leo’s Castle set which is an embarrassing build masked by the same plate. This era hit when I was starting to age out of these play themes but I don’t feel any more inspired when I’m looking at them now.
Besides the boat set from earlier this season, nothing here is very impressive even compared to the Egypt line from a year prior.
13:10 this cracked me up
I have 16 of those sun discs haha
5986 is my dream hahaha
The Adventurers line is just Indiana Jones without the license
Fair enough! Even tho I love this set I do admit the cost/amount of pieces relation is quite unfair... The plate is beautiful, however. (I love the blue, rocky river) I really love the color in these jungle sets.
Great stuff as always. Pretty hyped for Dino Island!
Definitely not a good price to piece ratio, especially with today’s resale value. And I agree with you on the baseplate; it really adds a lot to the look of the set.
Thanks, and thanks for watching! 😎👍
This set seems to have a lot of ways to die. The traps are cool, the hanging skeleton is kind of creepy and morbid.
I love all the booby traps but over all I am not as impressed as I thought I would be. It is a great video and I love your music!
Yeah, I wasn’t either... but still cool! Just too expensive! Thanks for watching! 😊👍
Trikbrix please do orient expedition
More trees is indeed fantastic, it turns a rather boring, open build into a true jungle ruin!
Lego adventures theme is mentioned legoland in America or legoland Europe say something like legoland billund Windsor deushtland Windsor and in San Diego
Tbh I actually prefer the Jungle theme over Egypt. Yes, it is a much smaller theme, but I feel that the sets are more consistent and surprisingly have a lot to offer. I feel like Egypt had too many sets and can be hit or miss.
I disagree
this set has so much death in it
I agree with you. I also think it could use some extra pieces to make it more detailed. Also the boat imo could use some extra decoration.
Still the traps are fantastic to play around with.
Agreed. It needed about 50% more pieces to really contend with Pharaoh’s Forbidden Ruins. But, I guess that makes it a good candidate for customization! Thanks for watching! 😎👍
@@TrikBrix Pretty cool set still tho. Esspecially for us long time Fans
For sure!
@@TrikBrix I still hope that Adventurers will return in all its glory one day.
So do I... as much as I love Star Wars, and some of the other licensed themes, I really wish they’d return to some of these old in-house properties.
DONT MIND RAISED BASED PLATES THEY ARE THE BEST
lego needs to bring back johnny thunder
How many adventurers sets include scorpions??? Lol
Lol... A LOT. 😄👍
9:15
This is epic! [Subscribe] 😃
rock raiders hq raised baseplate
Classic, I loved this set as a kid. Interesting to note how overpriced this set was given that this was during the era when Lego was financially unstable and almost went under, until new management stepped in.
Definitely overpriced - then and now, in my opinion - but you’re right, it is a true classic.
Thanks so much for watching! 😎👍
Actually I like the old style crocs better
Never came back with season 3 🤦♂️
i payed 400 $ for mine
Me Patrick aidan melville or Patrick Leonard melville aidan melville says and saying something age appropriate school agenda about this me love 3 times 4 times 5 or six times more often said me like feels love this lego theme
Great overview, but I'm sorry, the American names for Adventurers were so much better. "Dr. Charles Lightning" is just too whack.
Bro this channel is so amazing. Guy deserves 1m subscribers. Too bad he gave up
Johnny Thunder be like: let’s let Palomar go first
Palomar: X(
😄 Poor Palomar...
Adding more jungle really makes this set shine!
Sure does! I know Lego would never do something like I did for this set, but I think they could’ve added just a bit more foliage to the original set, making it more jungle-like.
Thanks for watching! 😎👍
This is the stuff we really wanna see. People are getting tired of Jangbricks and BrickBuilder reviews, you deserve more subs.
Thanks! I really felt like vintage Lego sets were largely underserved in the ‘high quality’ review community, so that’s kinda why I decided to focus my efforts in that direction (besides the fact that they’re AWESOME sets).
Jang and the like are great for new set reviews, but they rarely look at the sets I’m really interested in. I’m glad that there’s still an audience for vintage Lego! 😎👍
Jang was good years ago but nowdays he makes only movie themed (Harry Potter, Star Wars, Batman etc.) lego reviews and a lot of Ninjago and MOC videos. No classic love from him sadly.
@@zoltanperei4789 It's not even that his content is bad, he fails to make videos on time when people can watch other creators who review the newest sets earlier. He uses the same format and linear editing for almost each review, so difficulty does not come into his time management. To be honest I actually preferred 'The Brick Show' (Former Channel) as they covered older sets that are much more desirable. He reviews these 7+ building sets with the same tone as a food critic. If you go back and watch Jang's oldest videos he has a completely different tone as he knew his audience would be children. The way he covers these new sets with such an adult like manner is completely pointless. If he would of covered classic sets or discontinued ones, I would understand. But instead he's building his "Lego Mall' which can you imagine putting years of your life into something as trivial as building blocks. I mean his Lego city doesn't even look that apealing anyway for something he's basing his career on.
@@user-ti2rg2mq6z I do agree to you. I'm just want good videos and that I get from Jang. But not covering ANY Classic Lego nowadays is Disrespectful to his older subs and older Lego fans.
I got a CZcams channel called real enderstar711 so check it out. MYbe i will pin ur comment
I’m so excited for the next retrospective on Dino Island! I was born the year after that sub-theme came out, and I really like dinosaurs so.
I’m excited too - I never had any Dino Island sets, so it’ll be a whole new experience for me as I get them. Thanks for watching! 😎👍
Hey Trik, coming back to this comment a year later, I was looking at some LEGO studios sets, and i noticed that set #1354, has the blue undershirt that you mentioned in one of the Egypt reviews, so Ms. Storm did have that torso piece, just not in an official adventurers set. Just decided to let you know about it, in case no one else did. Hope to see you back and better than ever soon!
Love your reviews! Watched all of them and waiting next ones each time. Keep up the great work. Hope to see one day castle series retrospectives.
Thanks so much! Glad you’ve enjoyed them! And I’ll be getting around to the Castle theme at some point, I just don’t own any castle sets at the moment. Hopefully that will change sooner rather than later! Thanks again for watching! 😎👍
Your reviews are fantastic, thanks so much for making them so informative, professional & fun to watch! Haha I loved it when you added more jungle! Ps-i like the moulded baseplates, I cant get enough of them!
Thanks! And thank YOU for watching! And there’s always room for more jungle... 😄👍
Finally, someone managed to do a proper review of this serie. Thank you Mr. TB ! These sets were available for a very short period of time in my country when I was a kid so I never had the chance to get any of them...
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! I actually didn’t have any of these as a kid, either - I was too busy collecting the new Star Wars sets - but my brother did, so I’m thankful that I at least got to play with some of them.
Thanks again for watching! 😎👍
Yeah I guess Star Wars outshined Adventurers at the time... I wonder : what is your background music? It really reminds me of some 50s pulp adventure movie
Thanks! The music is actually my own, all original composition, but definitely inspired by those old soundtracks. One of my favorite parts of putting these retrospectives together is coming up with all the different musical themes, so it’s nice to hear it’s appreciated. 😊
Well you did a great job! As a musician myself, I can only appreciate the quality of the work even more.
