I realize that I’ve been trying to use meditation and spirituality to try to control things. Ive gotten away from the purpose. Surrender should be easier than anything yet here I am.
i truely have the same problem Candace. i am using meditation for a better outcome for my problems or getting my desires fullfilled. conceptually i know that it is actually a tool to get in touch with my higher self to improve intuition, receptivity etc. guess it takes time to get there 🤗

I have had trouble with this notion as well. Meditation should be used for no other purpose than to connect to God: " I and my father are one." - Joel S Goldsmith. So grateful that destiny has brought me to this channel.
Wow I used law of attraction for this for years! And it worked! But it was such hard work! Now I use loa to surrender to what is. And know the more I surrender the more I attract what I need.
after years of depression, life has taught me the art of surrender. the ego always tries to come back in, but after practicing this for years it feels more like having a rowdy toddler as a next door neighbor - you can hear it scream sometimes, but it doesn't disrupt your daily life THAT badly. the key element to surrendering for me was realisation that we are all inherently safe, and there is no danger waiting for us - only experiences that ultimately serve our growth and wisdom, even if they hurt. it felt slightly disconcerting at times, because I lost a close family member, and when despair didn't come, I was disoriented. but this is such a powerful attitude shift. the world would be a better place, if everyone made this change in their lives.

This parallels a lot Stoics philosophy which teaches that we do not control what happens outside of us, outside of our thoughts and opinions. We own nothing but our ability to reason which means we can never really lose anything since it was never really ours to begin with. Providence decides on what we are given use of what for what period of time. If you accept the notion that things are outside of your control, but things happen at a given time and place as they should for a reason, life will become less burdensome and easier. It's like traveling through life with less needless weight, like going through life being physically fit compared to being overweight - a more meaningful and pleasant experience.
TigroTom all spiritual philosophies very similar, Buddhism, Hinduism, Tao,stoic, even with core of all religions, but personally I don’t like religions, since the ppl behind it are or can be doctrine
Act within your circle of control. So if you can fix a situation, fix it. If there is nothing you can do to change it, do not waste another second thinking about it!

Walking today in a park I stopped to hear a robin singing. It was beautiful realisation I had. Nature is innocence, vulnerability and at the same time, pure wisdom. Nature is connected and completely surrendered. Everything is perfect in nature but we feel disconnected from it, therefore we suffer and destroy nature. I surrender to that !

@@seanharris5592 I experienced it. As a kid, I was in a cult and as an adult I've met with two cults. One I almost lost a friend in and I also happend to step into one too. I got out on time. I take these red flags serious now. If someone claims "the only cure for stress and anxiety" that is a big red flag. This isn't the first video from Aaron I get that vibe from. He could also just, by accident propagate the cult learnings from existing cults and he doesn't know it. From these ashrams for example. That's why I commented. Always keep thinking for yourself. Question if people are to assertive. Could someone for example be also be anxious because he or she is triggered in trauma? And shouldn't the trauma be processed? Instead of solving everything with "surrendering". I don't know if it is healthy to surrender your life to the world. We have primal instincts and emotions that are there for a purpose.

Actually this is one of the cornerstones of Islam! We call it "Al Tawakkol Ala Allah" which literally means "Relying on God". You do what you have to do and leave the results to be guided by Allah "God". Also, acceptance of the results is what truly shows how authentic you were with the surrender :)
I like that! I love how religions are coming together at this time and accepting the various differences we have through the impositions of traditions.
As a ex muslim myself i agree on that part. Religions all have a common theme of love peace and surrender.. i hate the rituals and the expectations they place on people and the fear element the fesr of god and the retributions are too much. Lastly they end up idolising the prophets but hate admitting itas they cannot see it as idol worship

Aaron, you are a wonderful teacher! However, I do often get tangled with your ego detachment, go with the flow, surrender, we live in a hologram teachings... which mainly comes from ACIM vs. we are the creator/manifest teachings that come from the law of one. If we are creating our own realities through our beliefs, then how can we do that if we are just simply going with the flow? What effect can we have on reality by being in a state of just pure awareness? Pure awareness is a great tool, of course. I mean, what is the point of incarnating to earth to just be a jelly fish? Isn't the point to remember that we are creators and to drop fears/desires by learning that abundance or lack thereof is a state of mind? To me, too much detachment seems akin to a victimhood mentality. Or am I completely missing the boat and detachment gets us to our preferred realities?

Life just took me from Episode 40 [Brand New] to this episode. [I work from home & learn while working these days.] The ideas in this video I previously thought I already knew or did. This is the message I needed to hear. My wife left me in July, and we have 2 babies. She thinks I'm crazy because I have been awakening, but I've been trying to 'make the right decisions' and force it. I'm ready to let it go, and give it to God. As I cry, I already know it's done. So be it. Life will bring us back together when it's ready for us to be again, and my babies will be just fine. I just miss them so much, and haven't been able to give them completely to God yet, even though I told my wife multiple times that they are not my kids, they're Gods. Thank you Aaron
I have been meditating for some time now and never really entered the space properly until recently. It reminded me of trying to focus hard on a 3d image in a magazine and all of a sudden the shape appears to you. A powerful and profound realisation indeed.
Oh Aaron, I swear, I don't know where I would be right now had I not been led to your material. Thank you so much for your willingness to take all the risks you have on this path. Youv'e definitely found out how to align with excellence when it comes to being a spiritual teacher. My only brother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few days ago and I was already applying all these lessons the best I could, but it has felt a bit overwhelming sometimes. I loved watching this, it was perfect timing. I needed this simple bit of "permission" to surrender in a way that is a little more bite-sized. I am choosing now to completely surrender these "shocking to the ego" circumstances over to God. It's funny, he's always been my opposite, atheist, politics, rigid, fear, diet, etc. and I have watched him suffer in his dense ego hell his whole life. I have only wanted peace for him. Well, ever since his diagnosis, he has been enjoying the now moment and understanding more about the stuff I am into. So, technically, everything I have ever wanted for him is coming true. It may not be for long, but I forgot to add in that little manifestation detail, oops, haha. Isn't life is such a trip? I am looking forward to all that this chapter is bound to teach me and I know that I don't have to be sad or depressed or anything, I will just be with whatever happens to come up as it does. I feel like I am observing it all most of the time now too, thank you. I feel like I can just simply enjoy this time with him now with nothing to control. It's weird too because he has always represented what or who I thought I "used to" be like he is the snake skin I've always worked hard to shed and so he's been the most triggering person of ALL in my life. So, with him transitioning soon, it is almost like I am physically watching my own ego death based on what he's represented. This is all super new and so I appreciate you letting me express some of this one your wall. No need for response. I just want you to know how much I appreciate your work. This would have been literally HELL for me to have gone through before I got a hold of your material. If you'd told me a decade ago that I could enjoy anything about a cancer diagnosis, I'd have thought you were nuts. What a gift.

I find it interesting that you can hear something profound over and over but there comes a moment when it actually resonates with you. Aaron, you are a wonderful teacher! However, I do often get tangled with your ego detachment, go with the flow, surrender, we live in a hologram teachings... which mainly comes from ACIM vs. we are the creator/manifest teachings that come from the law of one. If we are creating our own realities through our beliefs, then how can we do that if we are just simply going with the flow? What effect can we have on reality by being in a state of just pure awareness? Pure awareness is a great tool, of course. I mean, what is the point of incarnating to earth to just be a jelly fish? Isn't the point to remember that we are creators and to drop fears/desires by learning that abundance or lack thereof is a state of mind? To me, too much detachment seems akin to a victimhood mentality. Or am I completely missing the boat and detachment gets us to our preferred realities?
Actually, I rewatched this video and another loa of yours and have a better understanding of what you're saying now. Basically, don't be attached to outcomes, which totally resonates with me. 👍🏻

Life just took me from Episode 40 [Brand New] to this episode. [I work from home & learn while working these days.]
The ideas in this video I previously thought I already knew or did. This is the message I needed to hear.
My wife left me in July, and we have 2 babies. She thinks I'm crazy because I have been awakening, but I've been trying to 'make the right decisions' and force it.
I'm ready to let it go, and give it to God. As I cry, I already know it's done. So be it. Life will bring us back together when it's ready for us to be again, and my babies will be just fine. I just miss them so much, and haven't been able to give them completely to God yet, even though I told my wife multiple times that they are not my kids, they're Gods.

My only brother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few days ago and I was already applying all these lessons the best I could, but it has felt a bit overwhelming sometimes.
I loved watching this, it was perfect timing. I needed this simple bit of "permission" to surrender in a way that is a little more bite-sized.
I am choosing now to completely surrender these "shocking to the ego" circumstances over to God. It's funny, he's always been my opposite, atheist, politics, rigid, fear, diet, etc. and I have watched him suffer in his dense ego hell his whole life. I have only wanted peace for him. Well, ever since his diagnosis, he has been enjoying the now moment and understanding more about the stuff I am into. So, technically, everything I have ever wanted for him is coming true. It may not be for long, but I forgot to add in that little manifestation detail, oops, haha. Isn't life is such a trip?
I am looking forward to all that this chapter is bound to teach me and I know that I don't have to be sad or depressed or anything, I will just be with whatever happens to come up as it does. I feel like I am observing it all most of the time now too, thank you.
I feel like I can just simply enjoy this time with him now with nothing to control. It's weird too because he has always represented what or who I thought I "used to" be like he is the snake skin I've always worked hard to shed and so he's been the most triggering person of ALL in my life. So, with him transitioning soon, it is almost like I am physically watching my own ego death based on what he's represented.
This is all super new and so I appreciate you letting me express some of this one your wall. No need for response. I just want you to know how much I appreciate your work. This would have been literally HELL for me to have gone through before I got a hold of your material.
If you'd told me a decade ago that I could enjoy anything about a cancer diagnosis, I'd have thought you were nuts. What a gift.
