Just wanted to say I really enjoy watching your 14er videos man. Love that there's no background music(noise) and the thoroughness and guts to get your material (maroon traverse). It's kinda like I get to rewatch my own ascents of those peaks. If I had to study up on them for the first time I'd probably do 14ers.com, your videos, and Gary roaches book in that order. Just enjoy your thoroughness man. Keep it up. I've been referring your vids to all my new to Colorado adventure buddies ;)

Looks like a solidly built boot may take a look at them next time I need a boot.

It is the same one!! Didn’t realize you did this video, noticed them on a hike vid. Was in sportiva outlet store today and still not sure which replacement is closest

Love the video! Do you hike everything in these or only the most intense hikes? I find I prefer a trail runner 90% of the time unless we are doing something technical.

Jamie Betker these have been my go to for everything except for walking the dog but I’ve picked up a pair of trail runners to save on weight and hopefully improve speed a bit. When I do want to run in these it’s v tough. Hoping they work out but haven’t used them for anything except for mellow walks with the dog so far.

Up to what tempratures do you think that they can keep you warm?
Also, very helpfull video, I am about to buy them.

think it totally depends on the hiker but I’ve worn them in 10-20 degree temps with 0.0 problems. Even below that I’m sure it would be good, most of your warmth in footwear should come from your socks IMO.

Found these in Blue for $90 | Great Vegan (cruelty-free) Boot! I'm typically a 48, but 47 fits great.

Dave Rainey thanks Dave - these boots aren’t the lightest but def stand up to the rough conditions out here which is key for me.
