In today's episode, I'm taking you shopping with me in Standwood, Washington. I scored some great brass pieces and so fun items I plan to keep for myself. The large pencils would be nice to give to a teacher at the end of the year!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
Fantastic finds!!😍😍
Thanks!! ;)
I actually love the frame on the cross stitch! It compliments well, but that’s just me! 😂 There are a few WA finds im sad to not see in the mix. Everything you did get is great!
Aww, Stanwood! I grew up there. I use to volunteer at the senior center thrift store when I first got married.
There is so much good vintage shopping in that area!
Enjoyed this video and I love the Brass-Bowl…
Thanks! And I have been very tempted to keep the bowl... ;)
Yes, our thrifts have been bare for months!
It's so annoying! This time of year they clear everything and slowly add merch. Makes me crazy because I see the lines of cars donating so I know there is stuff!
The "belt pack" in it's original iterations was called a Fanny Pack (70,s) and were normally used by hikers until everyone found out how useful they were., The cross body use is relatively recent.
Interesting! Thank you for the background. I definitely have my hiking ones and fashion ones. But I'm in the PNW so that is pretty standard here. lol
Nice finds
Thanks! :)
Y’all have such great pottery in the PNW ! 😊
We really do! :)
I always thought those were Mary's hands in the praying position....??? Have I been wrong this whole time?
I think the pencils are more interesting as a pair
I kinda feel that way too! Very tempted to keep both.
That cross stitch looking piece looks like it came out of Donkey Kong/Mario Bros or something.
It totally does! I've never seen an abstract needlepoint quite like it!
You could paint part or all of the frame... I think it fits the piece but I do think it would be perfect in a darker color... Just a thought!
Yes, painting could definitely be an option. Probably better to try it before I rip it off lol. :)
Great finds do you have a video on how to sell on Etsy I’m new to them
I just posted one on what my Etsy bestsellers are. But I do have an Etsy one planned for probably next month.
Hi! New subscriber! I’m enjoying your videos! Can you tell me why you prefer selling on Etsy versus other platforms like eBay or direct me to a video where you talk about it? Thank you!
Thanks for subscribing! I have this topic on my list for a future video. But in a nutshell, I chose Etsy because you can often get higher prices and people don't tend to haggle with you. I'll be sharing more in a future video and plan to ask some of my reselling friends why they chose the platforms they sell on.
Lol my partner is ewww never likes anything and when it sells he always looks at me 😮
Haha it's so funny how subjective vintage and art is!
I love the lamp behind you. Did you thrift it? BTW My husband often hates what I bring home. Some he’s refused to hang or allow in the house!
Yes! I got it about a year ago for like $25 or maybe even less. It's brass chain link and feels traditional and edgy all at the same time! ;) It's so wild how opinionated spouses can be! Most of the time my husband is very easy going about stuff, and when he does hate something it always catches me off guard because it's never on something I would think!
Box maybe tramp art
Never thought of that! It really was so pretty, and honestly probably not far from what I would list it at. ;)
