- The 2025 Lucid Gravity SUV could be one of the most important EVs ever introduced. This vehicle promises huge range, incredible acceleration, vast amounts of interior space, and more amenities than a five-star resort. For a comprehensive tour of the Gravity electric SUV, come along with Zeb Coughenour, senior manager of interior design at Lucid as he shows us how the company reconsidered what a utility vehicle could be.

What a Beautiful Vehicle. Out of all the EVs this is the one that I like the most.
I was going to buy a Tesla, but after seeing the Gravity, I am going to make this my first EV.
Great review for cool suv, Gravity is best future for Lucid motors
Very cool interview. I usually find car designers discussing their inspiration and themes for design to be pretentious. Here, I found the ‘landscape’ and related ‘mid-century’ themes actually interesting and clearly executed.
far better than model X
Wouldn't be difficult 🤣 Tesla's are boring and ugly as sin
@@TheEVGuy-rx9ju Teslas are far from boring.
@@TAD-9The front view of Teslas are very boring. What were they thinking. The rest of Teslas I could not say as I don't have one.
@@pary327 Which Tesla front? There are many. Model Y or 3? Refreshed 3? Classic Nosecone on the Model S or the refresh look on the newer Model S&X's?
I've been a hardcore Tesla fan for years, but this is what I've been waiting for. Finally, someone made an amazing 7-seater EV with efficient use of space, and it even has a frunk! Lucid has grown on me.
Screams Pacifica from the outside! but the inside is a job well done!!
Hope Lucid will succeed. Lucid Air is such a solid car and the same will apply to Gravity as well.
I'm so impressed. Literally everything that ever bothered me about a vehicle, they covered. Truly dying to get my hands on it!
Amazing, Zeb!
Lucid is awesome!!
Agreed!!!
Beautiful vehicle and luxury ❤️
I will do my best to get one of those 🙏🏼
If only more manufacturers put this much thought into their vehicles...
I love it, and I am buying one. I will upload a video review when I do.
Amazing interview with some great tech.
For pricing, expect it to cost about $15K USD more than the Air of any equivalent trim.
So, if a well equipped Air Touring is $100K, expect s similarly equipped Gravity to cost $115K.
This is from speaking with a Lucid store manager.
I would have preferred captains chairs instead of a bench in the second row.
I'd rather it be able too fold into the vehicle
may be an option
Other then the front wheels being smaller then the rear ones and the touch sensitive controls this electric SUV is almost perfact...
I like the exterior and the interior. And most importantly, the range is better than that of any competitor; it is a luxury that's not annoying.
Please bring the independent top and pilot panel content to the air
Damn this thing sicks😊
Why are you nervous?! You have a great looking car there! Be proud for designing it! This what i want, my next car, far way more better than my model y! Lucid Gravity, can’t wait to have you!!😍🔥
Wow 👌
the king
I heard Rawlinson speaking about wanting to have as much or more space than a minivan. It looks like a Kia Carnival. I love Lucid, not knocking them, but this just looks more minivan to me. The 3rd row up and the cargo space is small. I think my Rivian has more cargo space with the 3rd row up. I love the frunk on this, I wish my Rivian opened like this does. Having driven the Air, I dislike the curved edges screens, it cuts apple play and is just not as functional as squaring it. I would prefer the option to have Apple/Andriod car play on the main pad screen, I like the tile spaces and the wrap around dash.
They should have come out with this from start people are not buying sedans
With its current proportions, it looks like a minivan. However, if they made this into a sportback, I suspect it would look infinitely better.
Cost?
Minivan with visual trickery..i can dig it
"surfacing inspired by aeronautics" is marketing speak for "I'm not sure what exactly I'm talking about, but please think of us as high tech"
Did he mention the NACS port ?
If only they do childseat tilt for 2nd row and wondering if there is a space for 3 true seats in 2nd row as well. I also wonder if doors with frames are better for SUV and give better noise isolation. Still - this is mega - can not wait for Pure Version in EU !!
Display pillar-to- pillar ,please 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Unless proven differently, the 2nd row tray should not be attached to the front seat to eliminate any form of annoyance.
Compared to the Tesla this is like the Mercedes-Benz of electric EVs that Mercedes couldn’t make.
Where is the charging port and what is its 400v charging speed? Did they resolve the issue with the 44kw max on the most abundant charger in North America by a factor of more than 4 times that of the rest combined? Do they split the pack in two, or use a proper 400v on-board charger? What is their solution? And is the port on either the passenger front or the driver's rear?
Those 2 issues are what's hammering the sales of the current Lucids. If they haven't solved both of those, they might as well fold now. The sales of the Gravity will be as low as the current ones are.
cW coefficient does not depend on SIZE of the vehicle. FYI.
That’s a nice looking. Suv 🚙
Appears to be a minivan SUV hybrid. Gravity will be great for families that don’t want to go with a traditional minivan
Having dual screen should be push to the Lucid Air
Maybe it give the Model X a run for the money
Cool design but I didn’t like how the interior designer didn’t know the cubic space in the back.
I want this car so bad!! Is it "dangerous" to buy a car from a company that hasn't shown much profit to this point??
There's always a risk with a startup (look at Fisker, for example), but Lucid seems to be in it for the long-ish haul.
80K? Wide range of consumers? I think not! Yet another potential nail in Lucid's coffin. 50k should be the most for any ' luxury' vehicle in my opinion.
One reason the Prius can't match the drag coefficient of the Gravity is because it's not an EV and lots of exposed exhaust system holes underneath. You can't put a cover over that stuff.
True, plus it's a larger and longer vehicle which I believe does help with drag coefficient. And also a bit silly to compare to a different vehicle like the Prius, because since the Prius is smaller even if it's drag coefficient is a bit worse, it may have a lower drag force due to it's smaller cross sectional frontal area.
@@ALMX5DP EVs can be fairly smooth underneath with not much for air to catch on. Gas cars just can't compete with that.
@@frankcoffey agreed, I was just pointing out how they tried to compare it when Cd is literally only one part of the drag force equation and it's length also helps along with what you mentioned.
Yeah but still...
Is it a family van or a SUV ? VW Buzz is similar as well.
Buzz is 10" higher. That gives it the Buzz the proportions of a van. Lower Gravity makes it wagon/MPV ish.
Where is the infotainment for the passengers, especially those sitting in the back? I'm not impressed. The Cadillac Escalade EV is impressive.
Price?
THANK YOU!!! That's what I am looking for in these review videos and I am not finding any information on the price.
The guy from Lucid would benefit from Toastmasters. His opening was rough.
What's the price in the US?
80-85K.. cheap car with all these features and crazy/fancy design.
People are comparing this car with Tesla/Rivian SUV 😂
No comparison at all. This piece is in the another level
40K masterpiece, 85K industry garbage.
@schorschoppenheim1825 Who in their right mind will sell that for 40k? Although, I do believe that they need to come up with a low priced vehicle that will hand high margins and still have the other expensive luxury models. No one will see this and say they want a Tesla.
Lucid design will grow on you the longer it is seen.
Lucid had to drastically cut sedans prices and still can’t sell them. This will be way expensive. Wait until they cut prices.

5:27 thanks for asking that question. Not sure he was able to explain or answer it. Like was he referring to the vehicles rake or attitude? Or maybe just some marketing BS injected into the tour.
Edit - ah see he is the interior design manager, so perhaps just regurgitating other talking points that he isnt as familiar with.
My guess: They went with 23” wheels in the rear for aesthetics, but stepped down to 22” wheels in the front for a smaller tire diameter, which helped lower the hood line for aero. Because EVs don’t have a center differential, there’s no need for the front and rear tire diameters to be equal.
A question I’d ask: we know larger diameter wheels with lower profile tires have higher total weight and higher rolling resistance, but are aero-focused large wheels more aerodynamic than aero-focused smaller wheels?
Looks nice with lots good features, but the interior interfaces are redundant and very busy.
So is my new TV and the complex remote control...but I get used to the remote control and it's less intimidating as time goes by.
Take the the family out with those low profile tires and enjoy the flat tires…
I have the air and kept hearing how it looks like a Buick. After I got the car, I have to say it looks nothing like a Buick. I am positive this car will look nothing like a minivan in person.
The dashboard resembles a last minute add on. Overall, there are too many distractions.
as long as the price is reasonable. But, all the EVs still cost too much due to battery price. Battery price alone is around $20k. I'd say we have to wait another 3-5 years for it go come down significantly. Great car, but I pass.
I enjoyed the Lucid Gravity review. Not sure if Lucid is incorporating any vehicle security. With the astronomical rise in auto thefts, I would have liked to see more security features, such as a biometric immobilizer, vehicle motion alerts and tracking too, given that SUV's make up the majority of stolen vehicles in north America.
Jarred Paul???
Not enough screens , people NEED more screens to swipe while they are driving
Looks like a mini van at certain angles
Looks like a minivan PERIOD. But without the practicality of sliding doors and a low floor. Not worth it.
Looks like a minivan at all angles. This is no suv, just marketed as such.
It’s a nice looking suv , far better then ugly model Y or x , its better than Rivian although Rivian is better then model x , however a smaller lucid suv would be great a mini gravity .
the back lights are ugly , they should have made it shorter rather then long , like fisker or even the same size as the front light .
I've seen the show car twice at the Lucid studios in West Palm Beach and Miami. What it most evokes is the R-Class Mercedes of yesteryear, which was itself a cross between a minivan and an SUV in terms of looks. Frankly, I think that's a good thing. I just don't get the visual appeal of these tall, hulking, often boxy SUVs that block lines of sight all over today's highways. It's as if everyone has entered a race to see who can sit highest above the road in the largest, least efficient vehicle possible. The combination of their space-robbing huge engine compartments and their high centers of gravity that degrade driving dynamics all hold little appeal to me.
Lucid pulled off a miracle of space packaging with its Air sedan. Kudos to them for now bringing a sleek, well-handling vehicle to market that has almost the interior volume of a Cadillac Escalade or Chevy Suburban in a package that is almost four feet shorter.
Does anyone notice about sustainable product?
Poor guy seemed so nervous, it made it painful to watch. Other than that, the Gravity looks amazing and if I had the cashflow, I'd be all over it.
No he did not seem nervous what are you talking about
Its normal to be in front of camera first 5 sec. Then he was fine
He did incredible! Well done Zeb
Small market. Good luck getting profitable
First ever EV mini van 💀
I see future President's using this SUV in their motorcade fleets. It's that good!
No rear view active camera mirror. Really? Where do you plug in your devices like dash cam and radar detector?
This " one of the most important EVs ever introduced" looks about as exciting as a soap bar.
This vehicle proves that minivans are a superior design
RIP to minivan haters 😂
I hate the front of it. I wish it was longer or something just too stubby. But Lucid engineers continue to dazzle
There seems to be zero excitement surrounding this old-man-looking car. take a look at Rivian-they’re creating some cool-looking stuff, and even they are facing challenges. What chances does this Saudi-owned company have?
Model Y AND X Killer wow that a sexy car with high preference
Fun Fact this company is down 98% and the CEO was still paid 400 million dollars
tax the wealthy.
Let's be honest that 3rd row is a joke. Lucid builds a nice car. I only hope the company is around in 5 years.
They need to lower the price of there car's, to expensive for the next few years, I own 3 to 4 k worth of shares and there starting to look like mullen in the market
Lucid and Tesla should work together
No service, woke car. Will. Depreciate like a rock
Looks more like an SUV to me than a minivan
Hope Lucid doesn't go in the way of Fisker...
Lucid stock is down and soon join fisker
Tesla bot spotted
Stop franking around!
nice! but too expensive. hope chinese competitors will come to us
SUV?
Lucid will be long gone before this ever sees the light of day
I love my Lucid Dream. Had it for 5 months and love it more and more as the days go by.
Where is Peter so he can screw up the video
Young jeff bezos
Too many ev and they not good😅😂
Xpeng is better, Nio is better. This is just not good and outdated. And overpriced.
VanUV
THIS MPV DOESNT LOOK LIKE SUV
Side design is a fail - hearse like.
Wtf lol
Most overrated company and with shit quality when you look inside. If you are spending, get a Porsche. If you are economic get kia evs.
Tried to turn into an overpriced station wagon/ minivan No thank you.
Not for cheap ppl
This is why Lucid is going bankrupt. It's all about creating an impractical prototype that is then touted to every journalist to pump up the stock of this SPAC scam.
Why not figure out how to make the car they've been working on since 2013 and still can't produce more than a tiny trickle at a huge loss?
Phillip.
Wow can you give me this weekends lottery numbers too?
They should hire Phillip for his wisdom! 😂
Cost?
