#armandgun #schmeisser #MP40 - Sport
MP40 or grease gun, I would choose the MP40 every time.. I have always liked the look of it, plus it is reliable and easy to maintain, has a nice front sight and just ergonomically is smooth and comfortable to hold..
Im glad you are still able to make videos with the recent legislation in your country. Anytime you wanna move south us Americans would be honored to have you😁
🙏
They scraped that bill about a week ago, now the only big change was the assault ban they did after the NS shooting
@@auschwitzsoccerref.8582definitely can't shoot any of the prohibs. can you even shoot pistols in canada nowadays?
@@youtubeuser206 the Handgun ban was part of our most recent bill C-21 which was recently scraped, so you can purchase and sell handguns again.
@@willzone0295umm I didn’t hear that part. Only the small parts about 10,000 jewls and something else.
QOTD: from a logistical standpoint, I would pick the MP-40/41. 1: ammo availability, 2: parts availability
Excellent reasoning and if you watch to the end of the vid I come at it from that angle as well.
MP40🇩🇪 VS Thompson🇺🇸
The MP40 has:
1. A slower rate of fire.
2. Less recoil and muzzle rise.
3. Weights much less.
4. Magazine changes are faster because of the magazine well.
5. Is easier to 'point' ie hit your target fast.
6. Stock folds for compactness when not in use or riding in a vehicle.
7. Bolt handle is on the left side making it easier to use for right handers.
8. Bolt can be locked back to help prevent accident discharge if gun is dropped.
9. Magazine carries 2 more rounds than a TSMG.
10. Hooded front sight is better protected vs TSMG and aids in the guns 'pointability.'
The TSMG has:
1. A more powerful round in the 45ACP.
2. Stonger milled steel receiver.
3. Magazines that are much easier/faster to load.
I'm glad that you have the stg-44 now, I can finally watch your videos in peace :)
MP-18 was saved last week too :) It'll be on the channel in a month or so.
MP40 = Art deco
Grease Gun = Diesel Punk
Qotd, easy
The mp40, not because of ergonomics, or repairability but because of ammo
9mm prabellum would have been easier to obtain than .45 since i already "captured" the gun from Hans i take his ammo too
.45 would have had to have been airdropped which could be more dangerous
We enjoy watching all of your videos. All are information provided by you is like going to a museum to enjoy a tour!! 🧐💯👏
Hey thanks! That's kind of what I'm going for actually, virtual museum or something to that effect. Appreciate the support!
@@armandgun I will be honest with you, I don't have a lot of stuff but what I have I'd say is museum grade quality and I was lucky to get it back in the 90's, 00's and the 10's up until the buying splurge with Obama and the big awakening in the US. I'm in my mid 50's and my health is poor and what I said about what you are doing with the last couple of videos is Impressive and I meant what I said it is like going to Dragon man's and getting a museum tour on the history of the weapons instead of the rest of it. You hit a homer with the MP 40 one in my opinion and I am far from a expert but being exposed to them through four generations now I have a great idea of what is what. I would like to ensure that what I have doesn't fall into the a place where they won't be taken care of I would like to discuss something with you because I have no children or any living relatives to take care of what I have. Please contact me some how, I would like them to go to a good home.
P. S., I will say that you are a very special person to be able to get and collect what you have and I was lucky to be fortunate enough to be at the right place at the right time to have what I got. Never had a lot of money but had great friends who took care of me and introduced me to the people that I do know but they are all 60 and up now and I am not sure how many of them are left until this spring at the Washington County Gun Show. Have been going there at least 2 a year for 20+ years now. Group of my friends gets smaller every year now. But anyway I am proud of you and your family for supporting you in what you do and I am happy that in a place that everything is not allowed you have everything! I just want a place that my stuff will have a home long after I am gone and will be safe and taken care of. Thank you for sharing your work and time with me and what is left of my family and friends. I hope that you have a great afternoon and enjoy your evening! Thank you for listening to a old cripple talk.
"Whatever you say, Jack....you're the 'Master Race' "
KAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKAKA
I just want to say thank you for giving us gun fans more knowledge about some guns that we’re really familiar with and some that we never heard of. Cheers from down south
MP 40 most def. I have only just found this ace channel.
Great video. Do you have the barrel change for the grease gun that allows it to use 9mm? Wonder if that would bring the M3 closer in your opinion?
4:24 drooling over this gun I see ;)
I would love to be able to collect one of these
The MP-38 was a perfect example of German over-engineering when it came to something as simple as a SMG. However, after a few years they listened to the feed-back of troops and then came out with the MP-40. Regardless, the MP-38 is the Holy Grail when it comes to German over-engineering of WW2 German Maschinenpistole I:E; the MP-38. And why it fetch a very high premium when an original (C&R) and transferable on a Form-4 comes up for sale here in the States. The MP-38 is truly a work of art when it comes to over-engineering something as a bullet-hose. By the way I can tell from the trigger guard that your MP-40 was made by Erma....does it have a Waffemamp manufacture code of AYF on the butt end of the receiver?
I used to call It Schmeisser back when I was a kid, don't really know why. My sources back then were movies and comic books(Sgt Rock, by Joe Kubert), so I guess I picked it up from them. My favorite gun back then, tough to draw, though(I scribbled some comics...) Not going to get a real one in this country, but looking forward to buying an Airsoft version.
Can you plz go over the G28 or the hk 433 I would love to see them ❤
Great collection
Ah yes ... the guns that WW2 Germany didnt appreciated, but needed.
Also ... a head snapshot !? *Gasp!* 🤯
Sweet vids keep it up bud 😎
The huge investment all these fully auto guns must of needed is mind blowing. Definitely something that will never go down in price. Do you work in the film industry or a range?? Beautiful collection.ThankQ.TkEZ>UK
An offshoot of the film industry yes.
Waiting for that MG-42 video like !!!! lets GOOOOO
Yeah grandpa was a fan of it. As in he carried that thing through the Ostfront at the sweet age of 19.
Damn, you have an MP41 too? You basically have my dream collection haha
It's a sweet unit. Mp28/MP40 hybrid. Working on adding more of the interwar smg's to the 'gun library' this year.
Beautiful piece ❤
How do you even get a prohib licence is it worth it? Is it like the restricted class where you can only shoot them at a designated range? Do prohibs still have mag capacity limits? I wouldn’t think so cause unpinned mags are prohibited but it seems like all your mags are pinned?
Long story. I would say not worth it unless you plan to operate a business around firearms that necessitates prohib firearms. There is more nuance to the mags as well, but more unpinned ones will be on the channel soon and with any luck I'll be filming shooting content later this year.
@@armandgun thanks! The laws just get more convoluted and harder to follow the as the classifications progress, I’ve never heard of anyone with or offering a course for a prohib licence in BC but I remember my dad taking me to a couple cool ranges/stores out of province as a kid that had prohib guns and wondering how and why they could have them but we couldn’t, awesome to see you as a private citizen have a collection like you do in your home, keep up the great vids
the one I have more ammo for but if all is equal MP-40
Funny how he didn't mention the plastic receiver and hand grip on the mP40.
the fact u called the mp40 hitlers grease gun is the biggest disrespect to the engineering and the build quality of the mp40
Holyshit, thats allot of unicorn guns
Very nice! I never got the logic of the 'common caliber to resupply off the enemy' thing though, wouldn't the hypothetical partisan and/or post apocalyptic raider just expropriate their downed adversary's weapons along with their ammo at that point?
Also, I vote grease gun because it looks and functions like some maniac dreamed it up between pipe hits and made it in his garage whereas making a 'refined' open bolt strikes me as somewhat akin to putting scrimshaw on a zipgun. Selective fire? Nyet, slow bullet hose is fine!
can't wait for the fg42
In British WW2 parlance all German sub machine guns were Schmeissers and all (heavy?) machine guns were Spandau's. It was accurate enough at the time but its a catch-all that's continued to this day 👍
At 4:26 a drop of something hit he floor
Could anyone please list all the rounds that arm and gun had on that stand. I only ask because id love to buy them all and put them in a display case 😎🤙🏽🔫
2:28 assuming I wouldn't have fought for the axis...
Its the Opposition. The Grease gun is Roosevelts mp40
When MP 40 is called Schmeiser, Heinrich Vollmer is crying somewhere
8:06 the resting bar looks like its supposed to fold down, does it not?
It's fixed in place
The mp-40 love is making me sad. Gimme more grease gun or M1 carbine
What do you think of the .22lr version? From what I heard it’s not the best quality made.
I have the MP40 in .22lr I purchased it September 2022. It’s wunderbar I’ve never had any problems with it. No jams, miss fires or feeding issues and build quality is pretty decent plus it looks great next to my M1 Garand & M48 Mauser.
@@Canadian_Whiskeyis it still kicking in just ordered mine in 22
Full auto version please!!!😁🤷♂
If anything it should be called a Vollmer named after Heinrich Vollmer who designed the MP-36 which became the MP-38 which would simplified into the MP-40
As for my choice: MP-40 beats the grease gun easily. Easier to find ammo, less recoil, better sights, and better controls.
Oh my fricken God you have obtained the Rat Patrol's capture weapons' cash You da man BOOM diggity . I will take the MP40 just because i don't believe the air drops of ammo will make it.
I like the Grease gun better but the Thompson M1A1 over all of them.
MP40 Definitely.. It much more controllable
It is and always will be my friend lol
This gun is always so cool
Your missing couple of pistols like a P38 and a and a Model 1914 Mauser pocket pistol. Looks like you have everything else in your safe.
Missing lots, but yes those are some common ones that I am missing. Buddy of mine has most. If I am able to move to the ranch property that friend may move out there too to bring a bunch of his collection to the channel
@@armandgun I have some donations for you.
What a beautiful SMG
Watchin on 4/20
Is there any loaded gun among this set of guns?
Short answer, no. Long answer, considering how much I handle the firearms mid video, sometimes spontaneously and without preplanning it would be highly irresponsible of me to leave any of them lying around loaded.
I can only dream of having one one day.
How do you get such expensive, beautiful, sexy, historical, outstanding guns.
Ami UK Smaisser world is wider :)
mp 18 snail drum first assault smg , Vilar and 18 Beretta nor so popular
NEW VIDEOO!!
I'm canadian and out of curiosity how are you able to own all these?
Business license with special permits for the film industry and some other stuff.
@@armandgun ooohhh ok that makes sense. It's so strict im worried I won't even be able to have airsoft replicas 😭
YAY
Is the Mp40 non restricted in Canada ?
in canada, it is prohibited, like all other machine guns
@@44Tuckster even the semi auto is prohibited ?
@@abyb1923 that is hard to answer as the laws are more complicated but what I know is that semi auto rifles are non restricted(but have cases in which they can be restricted) and all small semi auto guns are restricted
Do you have a walther p38?
I don't but friends of mine do. Once I move to the ranch, their plan is to join me in a year or so and we will be able to pool our respective collections for certain content. If you stick around you should expect to see one on here eventually.
@@armandgun awesome, i will definitely be sticking around
Yeah 💪🏻🇩🇪
...but you can schmeiß it, right? (german for "throw", Schmeisser = thrower)
Id take the stg 44. Best gun of the whole conflict.
Any stories of this in the cold Russian Winters that froze tank engines tighter than a monkeys nuts ? I've read the German paratroopers preferred the next version with the wooden stock as they fought in Malta and Italy against Patton and the British polish soldiers at the hardest fight at excuse spelling (Monticaseno)
New gun room tour
I'll do one one the Mother-load shipment arrives. 30+ new (old military) guns. Expecting that in a couple weeks.
I would have to take the mp 40

It is a bit concerning that the Cart Narcs guy is now collecting guns
Are they all registered pre may 1986
To your question. MP40 easy
Boom Diggity😎🦍💯
What does he mean by "opinion"? .45 was superior to 9mm loads back then and that's just a fact

It'll be ok you can afford it
Where are my Wolfenstein homies at?
Mathematical fact
MP 40 was much better than the grease gun. Still in service in conflicts, the grease gun not.
First one to view the video yesss!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
🥇
MP40 over the M3 Any Day
There’s no boom with your diggity I rarely see you shoot any of these 😅
Hahaha, well said. If you watch my previous two full format vids from last week, I talked about that actually and when and how that should be changing going forward.
The next gun show I go to I am going to get a MP40 they do sell the replica, which are made semi-auto for us law abiding American's , so sorry about the ridiculous laws in Canada we have certain politicians trying to attack are second amendment rights and it's not happening, we also have the powerful NRA backing the second amendment rights.
